Installation
Insert Micro SD Card
- Ensure the dash cam is turned OFF.
- Insert the Micro SD Card halfway (gold contacts facing the lens).
- Gently push the card in until it clicks and locks into place.
- Use only brand-name, Class-10, U3 or higher speed Micro SD Cards.
Remove Micro SD Card
Gently push the top edge of the Micro SD card inward until it clicks, then pull it out of the slot.
Important Notes about Micro SD Card
- Do not remove or insert the Micro SD card when the camera is powered on to avoid damage.
- You MUST format the Micro SD card in the camera for the first time of use.
Front Camera Installation
- Park in a safe, well-lit location and turn off the engine.
- Clean the windshield to remove dust and grease.
- Attach the Static Clings Sticker to the windshield (this leaves no residue). Peel off the protective film from the double-sided tape on the camera and attach it to the sticker.
- Insert the Micro SD card into the dash cam's slot.
- Plug the USB charger into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Route the cable along the console and windscreen, and plug it into the camera's USB port.
- Use the included cable clips to organize and hide the power cord, ensuring it does not obstruct the driver's vision.
Rear Camera Installation
- Connect the rear camera using its 6-meter cable to the dash cam's AV-IN port. Ensure the cable is long enough for your vehicle.
- Mount the rear camera near the license plate. Route the wire into the vehicle's interior, potentially through a new hole or an existing one for the number plate light. Secure the camera with the included screws and double-sided tape.
- For reversing function, connect the red cable of the rear camera extension cable to the positive terminal of the car's reversing lamp. Use a test light or multimeter to identify the correct wire.
- Once all connections are made, switch on the ignition. Shift into reverse; if wired correctly, the rear camera image will appear on the dashcam.
Notes:
- Clean the mounting surface before installing the rear camera to ensure adhesive quality.
- Fasten the screws to adjust the desired rear camera viewing angle.

1. Mode (Video/Photo/Playback) Setting
The AZDOME dash cam offers three modes: Video, Photo, and Playback.
Resolution
Choose your desired video resolution. Higher resolutions provide smoother video but consume more storage space.
Loop Recording
Options: Off / 1 min / 3 mins (Default) / 5 mins.
On: Select the duration (1/3/5 min) for each video clip. The dash cam continuously records, automatically deleting the oldest files when the memory card is full.
Off: The dash cam records one long video until the card is full, then stops recording.
Backup Cam Mirror
Options: Off (Default) / On.
On: The rear camera image is mirrored, similar to a rear-view mirror (left appears right).
Off: The rear camera image is displayed as seen (left appears left).
WDR (Wide Dynamic Range)
Options: On / Off (Default).
WDR enhances image clarity in both bright and dark conditions by combining multiple exposures.
Parking Mode
Options: On / Off (Default).
When connected to the cigarette lighter and Parking Mode is enabled, the dash cam records a ~60-second video and locks it upon detecting a collision or impact. It uses its internal battery for detection, allowing limited recordings. This mode saves power and protects your car battery.
Time Lapse Parking Mode
Options: On / Off (Default).
This menu is available only when connected to a 3-lead hardwire kit. When ON, the dash cam captures photos at 1 frame per second, stitching them into a video to optimize memory card usage.
How to set 24-hours Parking Mode
Requires AZDOME 3-lead hardwire kit.
- Parking Mode ON / Time Lapse Parking Mode OFF: Records unlimited 60-second videos upon impact detection and then powers off. Ideal for quiet areas or when audio is crucial. The camera powers on and returns to normal Loop Recording Mode when the car starts.
- Parking Mode OFF / Time Lapse Parking Mode ON: Captures photos at 1 frame per second, creating a time-lapse video. Ideal for busy areas for a quick overview. If an impact occurs, the video file is locked. The camera stops Time Lapse mode and returns to normal Loop Recording when the car starts.
Note: Time Lapse Mode videos play at a faster speed and have no audio. If both modes are ON, Time Lapse Parking Mode takes priority.
G-Sensor
Options: Off / High / Medium (Default) / Low.
The G-sensor detects impacts and gravitational forces. When triggered, the current video file is locked as an emergency file, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording.
Exposure
Options: -2.0 to +2.0 (Default 0).
Adjusts video exposure for brighter or darker footage.
Motion Detection
Options: On / Off (Default).
Records footage only when motion is detected. This feature is intended for parked surveillance and should NOT be used while driving. Sensitivity is affected by various factors, with an effective range of about 3 meters.
Record Audio
Options: On (Default) / Off.
Enables or disables audio recording with video. You can also mute/unmute audio by pressing the Down button ▼ during recording.
Video Stamp
Options: On (Default) / Off.
Enables display of Date/Time, Latitude/Longitude, and live speed information on videos.
WiFi
Options: On / Off (Default).
When enabled, the screen displays the WiFi name (M63_ac64cf4df35c) and password (12345678). Keep your phone close (within 3m) to control the dash cam and view real-time video via the AZDOME APP. The dash cam will not respond to button operations when WiFi is enabled. Press and hold the UP button ▲ for 2 seconds to disconnect WiFi and return to video mode.
GPS Info
Displays GPS information such as satellite count, speed, longitude, and latitude.
Speed Unit
Options: KM/H (Default) / MPH.
Select the desired speed unit for display and recording on video stamps.
Frequency
Options: 50HZ / 60HZ (Default).
Choose the frequency that matches your country's power supply to avoid flickering bands in videos under artificial lighting. 50Hz is common in the UK, Africa, Australia, most of Asia, and Russia. 60Hz is used in North America and some other countries.
Date/Time
Set your Timezone first in System Settings. Press the Power/OK button 🔋 to select the date format and hour/minute/second. Press the Menu button ☰ to save and exit.
Screen Saver
Options: Off / 1 min (Default) / 3 mins / 5 mins.
When enabled, the screen goes black and only displays the time after a period of inactivity, while the dash cam continues recording.
Beep Sound
Options: Off / On (Default).
Turns the camera button beep sounds and voice confirmations ON or OFF.
Language
Select your desired system language. English is the default.
Timezone Setting
Options: UTC/GMT+1 to UTC/GMT+12 & UTC/GMT-1 to UTC/GMT-12. Default is GMT +8.
License Plate Number
Allows you to stamp your license plate number or a custom ID on videos. Use the UP ▲ and DOWN ▼ buttons to select characters, the Power/OK button 🔋 to confirm, and the Menu button ☰ to save and exit.
Fatigue Driving Remind
Options: Off (Default) / 1 / 2 / 4 Hours.
Alerts the driver with an alarm sound after a set period of driving.

2. WiFi Feature
The WiFi feature allows wireless pairing with your smartphone to instantly access, view, download, and share recordings. It uses WiFi signals similar to how Bluetooth connects devices.
Notice
- WiFi range is approximately 10 feet (3 meters) with no obstructions.
- If live video is not available on the APP, turn off your phone's 4G network or enable Airplane Mode.
- WiFi signal is localized and does not broadcast over the cloud or internet.
- The dash cam cannot be operated via buttons while connected to WiFi. Press and hold the UP button ▲ for 2 seconds to disconnect and return to video mode.
3. GPS
The AZDOME GPS Player supports video playback and displays driving track and speed. Download the player from www.azdome.hk/downloads. Install it on your laptop to view your car's route on Google Maps.

4. Firmware Update
Firmware updates introduce new functions and improve performance. They are useful if the camera is unresponsive.
- Download the M63 firmware file (FW96670A.bin) from http://www.azdome.hk/downloads.html.
- Copy the firmware file directly to the Micro SD card (do not create new folders or rename the file).
- Insert the Micro SD card into the dash cam and connect to power. The dash cam will power on, and the screen may stay black with a blinking blue light during the update (approx. 30-40 seconds).
- After the update, go to System Setting > Version to verify.
- Crucially, format the Micro SD card in the dash cam after updating to prevent repeated updates on power-on.
For any issues, contact service@azdome.hk.
5. Reading Dashcam Files
- Remove the Micro SD card and insert it into your laptop's card slot or use a card reader.
- Locate the drive corresponding to the Micro SD card. You will find folders like "Movie" and "LOCK".
- "Movie" contains loop recording files that can be overwritten. "LOCK" contains files protected from overwriting.
- Double-click on video files to play them.
Files captured by the front camera are named with an "A" suffix, while rear camera files have a "B" suffix.
6. FAQ
Camera does not turn ON
- Try a different USB cable and a smartphone charger plugged into a 110V wall outlet.
- Press the Power Button once. If it still doesn't turn on, remove the memory card.
- With the camera plugged in, press the RESET button once with a pen tip or paper clip. If it still doesn't turn on, contact support.
Camera showing "Memory Error" or "Please Insert Micro SD Card"
- Ensure your Micro SD card is at least Class 10, U3, and purchased from a trusted vendor.
- Format the Micro SD card in the camera's system settings (back up videos first).
- After formatting, turn off the camera, unplug and re-plug the power cable. The camera should turn on and start recording. Contact support if the error persists.
Camera Freezing/Lagging or Crashing
This is typically a Memory Card issue (wrong, fake, or bad card). Ensure you are using a genuine, high-speed card from a reputable source. Contact AZDOME support for assistance.
Video is fuzzy
Ensure the camera lens and windshield are clean. If the lens is out of focus, contact support with a screenshot or sample video.
Camera gets HOT
It is normal for the camera to run slightly warm during operation within its working temperature range (-20°C to +70°C).
Dashcam always turns on/off automatically
Reset the dash cam and update the firmware. If the issue persists, contact support.
The date/time always changed
In camera's system settings, go to Time Zone Setting, set your correct timezone, and confirm. The date/time will update automatically with a GPS signal.
My oldest video files are missing
This is due to the Loop Recording function. When set to 1, 3, or 5 minutes, the camera overwrites the oldest files when the memory card is full.
My Video playback on PC is lagging
This can occur on slower PCs when viewing high-bit-rate video files. Try recording at a lower resolution. Contact support if the problem continues.
