Product Assembly
Pre-Assembly:
- This manual covers cable connection and microinverter mounting. Refer to solar panel and accessory instructions for panel installation.
- Perform assembly on a sunny day if testing the solar system.
- Choose Installation Location: Ensure the microinverter is within Wi-Fi range ?.
- Do not install where flammable or explosive materials are stored ?.
- The microinverter has an IP67 rating, suitable for indoor or outdoor installation. However, the EcoFlow portable power station is not waterproof; keep it indoors if used.
Assembly Procedure:
- Mount Microinverter on Portable Power Station: Place the microinverter onto the EcoFlow portable power station. (Refer to "Microinverter Mounting" section for details if needed).
- Connect Solar Panels: The BKW-Solar cable has two MC4 connector groups for connecting two groups of solar panels.
- After solar panels capture sunlight, they will supply DC power to the microinverter, indicated by a white LED.
- For series/parallel connections of multiple panels, refer to the "Connecting Multiple Solar Panels in Series or Parallel" section.
- If connecting an EcoFlow River series power station, it's recommended to connect solar panels to the power station first for energy accumulation. Refer to the power station's manual. Download manuals at: https://www.ecoflow.com/eu/support/download/
- Connect to Portable Power Station: Use the appropriate EcoFlow BKW cable (BKW-DELTA EB, BKW-DELTA PRO, BKW-RIVER) to connect the microinverter to compatible EcoFlow portable power stations. Ensure the power station is turned OFF during connection. Note: Using the BKW-RIVER cable with River series stations only discharges the station, it does not charge it.
- Connect to Mains: Ensure the AC outlet is powered ?. Use the BKW-AC cable to connect the microinverter to the mains.
- Turn on EcoFlow Portable Power Station: If your system includes a portable power station, turn it ON. (Skip if no power station is used).
After connection, the LED indicator will turn green when solar panels capture sunlight and the microinverter outputs AC power.
It is highly recommended to install the protective cover on the microinverter. The cover is included in the box.
Connecting Multiple Solar Panels in Series or Parallel
When connecting multiple solar panels in series or parallel, ensure the maximum operating voltage (Vm) and current (Im) of each group do not exceed the microinverter's input limits (55V voltage, 13A current). Panel Vm and Im must be compatible.
Series Connection: Connect panels sequentially using BKW-Solar cable (a), extension cable (b), and flat cable (c). Example: Vm (panel 1) + Vm (panel 2) < 55V.
Parallel Connection: Use BKW-Solar cable (a), extension cable (b), flat cable (c), and parallel connection cable (d) for connecting multiple panels in parallel groups. Example: Vm (panel 1) + Vm (panel 2) < 55V and Im (panel 1) + Im (panel 2) < 13A.
Microinverter Mounting
If your system does not include a portable power station, you can mount the microinverter.
Wall Mounting:
- Use the mounting plate to mark and drill two holes approximately 41mm deep in the wall. Insert M5*40 screws into the holes. (Drill bit: 8mm, not included).
- Install M5*12 screws into the designated locations on the back of the microinverter.
- Insert ST5.5*25 screws through the plate holes into the M5*40 screws.
Mounting on Bracket:
- Install M3*6 screws into the designated locations on the back of the microinverter.
- Install two M6*20 screws through the mounting plate holes and tighten with M6 nuts. Ensure installation is vertical or within 15° for stability and safety.
Grounding Considerations:
The included BKW-AC cable has a grounding wire. If additional grounding is needed, use an M4*6 screw, a grounding wire (> 4 mm²), and appropriate tools. Find the grounding terminal on the bottom of the microinverter and secure the screw.
