Product Overview

The IQOS ILUMA ONE is a heated tobacco device designed for adult smokers who would otherwise continue to smoke or use other nicotine-containing products. It is designed to be used exclusively with SMARTCORE STICKS™.

Device Components

Device:

• Holder Button: Used to turn the device on/off and start heating.
• Charging Port: USB-C port for charging the device.
• Status Lights: Indicate battery level and heating status.
• Cap: Covers the heating chamber.

• Power Adapter: For charging the device.
• Charging Cable: Connects the device to the power adapter.

Getting Started

Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge your IQOS ILUMA ONE device using the provided power adapter and charging cable. Charging takes approximately 90 minutes.

Turning the Device On/Off

Press and hold the Holder Button for 4 seconds. The status lights will illuminate slowly.

How to Use

1. Insert SMARTCORE STICK™: Insert the SMARTCORE STICK™ into the heating chamber, aligning the filter with the device.
2. Start Heating: Press the Holder Button for 1 second until the status light pulses. The device will vibrate when ready.
3. Start Use: Once the status light is solid, you can start using the device. The device will provide a countdown of the experience time.
4. End of Experience: The status lights will indicate the last 30 seconds or last two puffs. The device will vibrate once and the white light will flash.
5. Remove SMARTCORE STICK™: Slide the cap open and remove the used SMARTCORE STICK™. Dispose of it according to safety warnings and instructions.
6. Close: Slide the cap to close the device.

Useful Tips

Battery Status

Press the Holder Button to illuminate the status lights and check the battery level.

• 4 lights: Fully charged.
• Flashing yellow light: Battery is low and needs charging.

Automatic Shut-off

The experience will stop if the SMARTCORE STICK™ is moved or removed from the holder during use.

Double White Light Flash

Indicates the IQOS ILUMA ONE device is outside the operating temperature range (0°C to 40°C).

Red Light Flash

If the red light persists, contact customer service.

Resetting the Device

Press and hold the Holder Button for 10 seconds. All status lights will turn off and then illuminate to confirm the reset.

Please read all safety warnings and instructions before use to avoid injury. These warnings and instructions cannot cover all possible situations that may occur, and users should exercise caution.

Target User

• IQOS ILUMA ONE and SMARTCORE STICKS™ are intended for adult smokers only.
• Not for use by children or adolescents under any circumstances.
• Should not be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, unless supervised or instructed on safe use.

Tobacco and Nicotine

• SMARTCORE STICKS™ contain nicotine, an addictive substance.
• IQOS ILUMA ONE and SMARTCORE STICKS™ are not risk-free. The best way to reduce tobacco-related health risks is to quit tobacco and nicotine use altogether.
• Potential side effects may include abdominal pain, chest pain, lightheadedness, coughing, difficulty breathing, dry mouth and throat, gum inflammation, headache, nausea, and throat irritation.
• Do not use nicotine-containing products if you have heart disease, are at risk of heart disease, have diabetes, epilepsy, or seizures.
• Do not use nicotine-containing products during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• If pregnant, breastfeeding, or suspecting pregnancy, stop using tobacco and nicotine completely.
• Quitting smoking or switching to IQOS ILUMA ONE™ or other nicotine-containing products may require dosage adjustments for certain medications.

Important Safety Information

• Choking, Swallowing, and Handling Hazard: Keep the device and SMARTCORE STICKS™ out of reach of children.
• Choking Hazard: SMARTCORE STICKS™ contain small metallic parts with sharp edges.
• Swallowing Hazard: Swallowing SMARTCORE STICKS™ can cause serious internal injury due to small metallic parts with sharp edges. Nicotine poisoning is also a risk. Seek medical attention immediately if swallowed.
• Handling Hazard: Do not disassemble SMARTCORE STICKS™. Dispose of used sticks according to local regulations.

Battery and Electronic Component Hazards

• Failure to follow safety warnings may result in fire, explosion, electric shock, injury, or damage.
• Use IQOS ILUMA ONE™ only as intended.
• Do not use in areas where electronic devices are prohibited.
• Do not charge, use, or expose the device or accessories if damaged, broken, or tampered with.
• Do not use if the battery is leaking.
• Do not charge the device except in indoor areas using the provided charging cable and adapter.
• Do not charge using unapproved accessories.
• Do not charge the device in extremely high temperatures (e.g., inside a car in summer) or near heat sources.
• Do not use in areas with flammable liquids or gases.
• Keep the device, adapter, and cable away from liquids. Do not touch if wet.
• Do not clean the device with any cleaning agents.
• Periodically clean the USB charging port to remove debris.
• Close the device cap after use to prevent debris from entering the heating chamber.
• Handle the device with care; do not drop or expose it to strong impacts.
• The product contains no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open, modify, repair, or replace components or batteries.
• Do not use if exposed to extreme cold, heat, or humidity.
• Do not touch the device or accessories if they are excessively hot, emitting smoke, or igniting. If possible, turn off the device or disconnect it from power.
• Do not insert anything other than SMARTCORE STICKS™ into the heating chamber.
• Operate the device only within a temperature range of 0°C to 40°C.

Disposal Information

This symbol on the product or its packaging indicates that this product and its accessories (including batteries) should not be disposed of with household waste. You are responsible for delivering your waste equipment to a designated collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic waste. Separate collection and recycling of your waste equipment at the time of disposal will help conserve natural resources and ensure that it is recycled in a manner that protects human health and the environment.

Battery Removal for Disposal and Recycling

The battery must not be removed by the consumer. Only an authorized recycling company may remove the batteries safely following these steps:

1. Fully discharge the device before disassembly.
2. Remove the cap and unscrew the bottom of the device.
3. Remove the assembly from its housing.
4. Unscrew the screws from the USB holder and lift the FPC connector.
5. Disconnect and lift the battery connector.
6. Using a wide, flat, non-sharp tool, remove the battery by pushing it from the opening behind the motor frame to detach it from the adhesive.
7. Dispose of according to local regulations.
