Product Overview

The IQOS ILUMA ONE is a heated tobacco device designed for use with TEREA SMARTCORE STICKS™. This guide provides detailed instructions on how to use, charge, and maintain the device, along with important safety information.

Getting Started

Turning On/Off

Press and hold the button for 4 seconds. The status lights will illuminate.

Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge your device using the power adapter and charging cable. This typically takes about 135 minutes.

How to Use

1. Insert TEREA Stick

   Slide open the cap and insert a TEREA stick up to the filter line, with the filter facing outwards.

2. Start Heating

   Press the button for at least 1 second until the IQOS ILUMA ONE vibrates and the status lights blink. Keep the TEREA stick in place during preheating.

3. Start Using

   Begin using once the device vibrates and the lights remain steady.

4. End of Use

   During the last 30 seconds of use or the last 2 puffs, the device will vibrate and the lights will flash white.

5. Remove Used TEREA Stick

   Remove the used TEREA stick and dispose of it according to local waste disposal regulations once it has cooled down.

6. Close

   Slide the cap to close.

Tips and Tricks

Check Battery Level

Press the button, and the status light will illuminate to indicate the battery level.

Light is blinking yellow/orange

The battery is depleted and needs charging.

Light is blinking white twice

The IQOS ILUMA ONE is within its operating temperature range (0°C~40°C).

AUTOSTOP (Automatic Shut-off)

The experience will stop if the TEREA stick is moved or removed from the holder during use.

Light is flashing red

To reset the IQOS ILUMA ONE: Press and hold the button for 10 seconds, then release. All status lights will turn off, blink twice, and turn on to confirm the reset.

If the red light persists, contact customer support.

Safety Precautions and Warnings

General Safety Warnings:

• This product is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• Do not use TEREA SMARTCORE STICKS™ with any other IQOS devices.
• Do not use IQOS ILUMA ONE™ with any other tobacco or nicotine products.
• Do not attempt to disassemble or tamper with the device.
• Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures or humidity.
• Do not use the device if it is damaged or tampered with.
• Do not use the device if the battery leaks.
• Do not use the device in environments where flammable materials, liquids, or gases are present.
• Do not clean the device with cleaning agents.
• Periodically clean the USB charging port to prevent dust accumulation.
• Do not use the device if it generates unusual heat, smoke, or a burning smell.

Nicotine and Tobacco Warnings:

• TEREA SMARTCORE STICKS™ contain nicotine, which is addictive.
• IQOS ILUMA ONE™ and TEREA SMARTCORE STICKS™ are not risk-free. The best way to reduce tobacco-related health risks is to quit tobacco and nicotine use altogether.
• Some users may experience abdominal pain, chest pain, choking, coughing, shortness of breath, dizziness, dry mouth, throat irritation, gingivitis, headache, lethargy, nasal congestion, nausea, mouth irritation, palpitations, throat irritation, and vomiting.
• Nicotine-containing products should not be used by people who have heart conditions, diabetes, epilepsy, or seizures.
• Nicotine-containing products should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or suspect you are pregnant, stop using tobacco and nicotine altogether.
• Quitting smoking or switching to IQOS ILUMA ONE™ or other nicotine-containing products may require adjustment of the dosage of certain medications (e.g., theophylline, clozapine, ropinirole).
• If you are unsure whether you can use IQOS ILUMA ONE™ based on your current health condition, consult a doctor.

Choking and Ingestion Hazard:

• Keep IQOS ILUMA ONE™ and TEREA SMARTCORE STICKS™ away from children and pets.
• TEREA SMARTCORE STICKS™ contain small metallic particles with sharp edges.
• Ingested TEREA SMARTCORE STICKS™ can cause serious internal damage due to small metallic particles with sharp edges.
• Ingested TEREA SMARTCORE STICKS™ can lead to nicotine poisoning.
• Seek immediate medical attention if TEREA SMARTCORE STICKS™ are ingested.

Thermal Burn Risk:

• Do not insert any object other than TEREA SMARTCORE STICKS™ into the heating chamber.
• The device can operate only within a temperature range of >0°C/<40°C.
• TEREA SMARTCORE STICKS™ are for single use only. Do not attempt to reuse or tamper with a TEREA stick in any way, for example, by lighting it with a match, lighter, or flame.

Allergic Reaction Risk:

• Using TEREA SMARTCORE STICKS™ with IQOS ILUMA ONE™ may cause an allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue, gums, throat, or body, or shortness of breath.
• If you experience any of these symptoms, stop using the device and seek immediate medical attention, as it may indicate a serious allergic reaction.

SMARTCORE STICKS™ Usage

• Use TEREA SMARTCORE STICKS™ only with IQOS ILUMA ONE™ devices designed for them.
• Never use IQOS ILUMA ONE™ with tobacco or similar products.
• Do not use SMARTCORE STICKS™ with previous generation IQOS devices.
• Do not modify SMARTCORE STICKS™ or add any substance to them, as this may cause injury.

Storage

• Store the device in a clean, dry, and cool place. Do not expose to temperatures above 60°C.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Reporting Adverse Events

If you experience any health issues while using IQOS ILUMA ONE™ or TEREA SMARTCORE STICKS™, consult a doctor.

You can report adverse events directly to your local customer support center. Providing information about side effects helps gather more data on the product's safety.

Disposal Information

Valid for European Union and EFTA countries

This symbol on the device or its packaging indicates that the device and its components (including batteries) should not be disposed of with other household waste. Instead, it is recommended to return your used device to a designated collection point for the recycling of electrical or electronic equipment. Used batteries can also be returned to the point of sale free of charge.

Proper segregation and disposal of your used equipment (including batteries) will help conserve natural resources and ensure that they are recycled in a manner that does not harm human health or the environment. Improper disposal of the device (e.g., through incineration or landfill) can have negative consequences for the environment and human health. For more information on where to dispose of your used equipment, please contact customer support.

The product's local importer will finance the recycling of the returned used equipment at specially designated collection points in accordance with local requirements.

Battery Removal Instructions (For Disposal and Recycling)

The batteries should not be removed by the consumer. Only an authorized recycler can safely remove the batteries after the product has reached the end of its life, following these steps:

1. The device must be completely discharged before disassembly.
2. Remove the cap, then remove the screws on both sides.
3. Remove the contents from the housing.
4. Remove the screws from the USB holder and lift the FPC.
5. Disconnect the battery connector and lift it up.
6. Use a flat, blunt tool to press the battery against the opening in the back of the motor to detach and remove the battery.
7. Dispose of in accordance with applicable regulations.
