Product Identification
This recall involves GoveeLife and Govee smart electric space heaters with Model Numbers, H7132. The branding "GoveeLife" or "Govee" is printed on the front or side of each unit. The space heaters were sold in black and white and measure from 9 inches to 26 inches in height, depending on the model. The model number is located on the manufacturer's label on the underside of each unit. These products are labeled and using an ETLus Certification Mark control number 5018396, Recall number: 25-036. Product Label Description: A label on the underside of the unit displays "Govee Life Smart Heater Model: H7132", "Input: 120V~60Hz 1500W", "FCC ID: 2AQA6-H7132", "Made in China SN: H...". It also indicates manufacturer: "Shenzhen Intellirocks Tech. Co., Ltd.". The label states compliance with FCC Rules Part 15 and includes compliance marks, such as an ETL mark and a statement conforming to US 570 1278 (likely referring to UL 1278).
Hazard Involved
The smart electric space heaters can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards. Testing determined that the smart electric space heaters do not comply with the voluntary industry safety standard, UL 1278, posing an overheating and fire risk from wireless control features.
What To Do
Use of these products should be immediately discontinued. Return the product to the Applicant for replacement or repair. Distributors and retailers should discontinue sales and return inventories to their suppliers.
