Introduction

Thank you for choosing Govee Curtain Lights. These string lights are easy to install and designed for indoor use. They are suitable for decorating curtains, bedrooms, balconies, and various other spaces. They can also be used during holidays such as Christmas, Valentine's Day, and Halloween. With DIY and Music modes, users can create custom lighting effects and enhance party atmospheres.

Safety Instructions

• Keep all cribs, beds, furniture, and toys away from the lights. Do not tie the bottom of the string lights to form loops, as this could wrap around a child's neck and cause suffocation.
• The internal light sources of the light bars and strip lights cannot be replaced. If the light sources sustain damage, the product should be replaced.
• Do not allow children to assemble and install this product without adult supervision.
• Avoid installing this product near major heat sources.
• External dimmers cannot be used with this product.
• Use this product only with the provided power adapter.
• To reduce the risk of strangulation, the flexible wiring connected to this luminaire shall be effectively fixed to the wall if the wiring is within arm's reach.
• Keep all strip lights out of the reach of children.

At a Glance

Control Box:

The control box features a button for power and reset functions.

[Power Button]: Press to turn the lights on or off.

[Reset Button]: Press and hold for 5 seconds to reset the device.

Dimensions: The light string measures 1.5m (5ft) in width and 1.5m (5ft) in height. The spacing between lights is approximately 7.5cm (0.25ft).

Caution

1. Before installation, check if the curtain lights function correctly.
2. Clean the surface where the lights will be installed.
3. Ensure the top cable is kept level during installation.

Installing Your Device

Method 1: Use G4 Hooks

1. Install the G4 hooks between the two wires of the light string.
2. Hang the curtain lights using the G4 hooks onto the curtain hooks.
3. Connect the power adapter and plug it into a power source to test the device.

Method 2: Use G4 Hooks and VHB Gums

1. Clean the installation surface thoroughly.
2. Mark the installation points on the surface. These marks should be higher than 1.7m (5.57ft) and spaced approximately 30cm (1ft) apart, ensuring all marks are on the same level.
3. Apply the provided VHB adhesive gums to the back of the G4 hooks.
4. Attach the G4 hooks to the marked locations on the surface. Press each hook firmly for more than 10 seconds to ensure adhesion.
5. Connect the power adapter and plug it into a power source to test the device.

Pairing Your Light with Govee Home App

What You Need:

• A Wi-Fi router supporting 2.4GHz and 802.11 b/g/n bands (5GHz is not supported).
• A smartphone or tablet running iOS or Android.

Steps:

1. Download the Govee Home app from the [App Store] (for iOS devices) or [Google Play] (for Android devices).
2. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.
3. Open the Govee Home app, tap the [+] icon in the top right corner, and search for "H70BC".
4. Tap the device icon and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process.

Troubleshooting

Fails to connect to Wi-Fi.

1. Ensure the device is within 100ft of the router.
2. Minimize obstructions (e.g., walls, windows) between the device and the router.
3. Verify the Wi-Fi name and password are correct.
4. Confirm you are connecting to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network; 5GHz is not supported.

Lost Wi-Fi connection. / Cannot use the device with the app.

1. Check if your home Wi-Fi is functioning correctly.
2. Verify if the Wi-Fi password has been changed.
3. Minimize obstructions between the device and the router.
4. Confirm the device is connected to Wi-Fi. If not, re-connect as described above.

Cannot pair or connect with Alexa or Google Assistant.

1. Ensure a stable Wi-Fi connection.
2. Navigate to the app's Settings page and follow the "User Guide" instructions to re-pair the device.

The synchronization effect for Music Mode does not work properly.

1. Place the control box close to the music source to improve microphone sound pickup.

Can multiple users control one device?

1. Each device can only be controlled by one account.
2. For multiple users to control the same device, they must use the same account.
