Limited Warranty Coverage
If a Covered Component fails solely due to a manufacturing defect during the Warranty Period, Lennox will provide a replacement component ("Replacement Component") through a Lennox dealer or licensed HVAC contractor. The Owner is responsible for shipping, freight, handling charges, and all fees related to warranty service (trip charges, labor, removal, repair, servicing, replacement).
For ninety (90) days after a claim is filed, the Owner must surrender failed Covered Component(s) to Lennox upon request. Lennox's sole responsibility is to provide the Replacement Component. If a Covered Component is unavailable, Lennox may provide a substitute or allow the Owner to purchase equivalent Lennox equipment at a reduced price from an independent Lennox dealer listed at www.lennox.com. This reduced price offer applies only to the specific equipment containing the unavailable component.
Both Lennox and the Owner are bound by this Basic Limited Warranty.
Making a Warranty Claim
To make a claim, contact an independent Lennox dealer or licensed HVAC contractor. Find a dealer at www.lennox.com, email www.lennox.com/help/contact-us/warranty (click "E-mail our Contact Center"), or call 1-800-9-Lennox. Claims must be submitted before the Warranty Period expires. All claims must be submitted within forty-five (45) days of the failure date.
Required information for a claim:
- Equipment model and serial number
- Owner's name and location of the Equipment
- Date of original Equipment installation or closing date (new construction)
- Accurate description of the problem
Note: Proof of prior maintenance and purchase may be required.
Limitation of Liabilities, Disclaimer of Warranties and Responsibility for Damages
Lennox makes no express or implied warranties regarding fitness for purpose, merchantability, design, condition, capacity, performance, or any other aspect of the Equipment, except as expressly provided. Lennox disclaims all express and implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. Any implied warranties are limited to the duration of this Basic Limited Warranty.
Lennox shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss or injury to persons (including death) or property, business interruption, loss of business value, inconvenience, or loss of anticipated profits or savings. This applies to all disputes and claims, including negligence. Lennox is not liable for work done by the Owner or others on the Equipment.

Dispute Resolution
Note: Read this section carefully as it affects your rights and dispute resolution.
Some jurisdictions may not allow mandatory arbitration or class action waivers. Permissible provisions will apply.
Individual Arbitration Notice: By purchasing or claiming under this warranty, you agree that all disputes will be resolved by binding, individual arbitration.
- Contact Lennox: Report disputes to Lennox Industries Inc., ATTN: Consumer Affairs, P.O. Box 799900, Dallas, TX 75379-9900.
- Mandatory Arbitration: Disputes must be resolved through arbitration, not by court or jury, unless claims qualify for small claims court on an individual basis. Both parties waive the right to a jury trial. Arbitration is conducted by a neutral arbitrator.
- Arbitration Procedures: Arbitration is conducted by a single arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Rules vary based on claim amount. AAA rules and forms are available at www.adr.org or 1-800-778-7879.
- Governing Law: The Federal Arbitration Act (FAA) governs interpretation and enforcement. Texas law applies where FAA does not.
- Arbitration Class Action Waiver: Arbitration proceeds solely on an individual basis. No class action, consolidation, or representative arbitration is permitted, except for public injunctive relief in California. A court decides enforceability of this waiver. If deemed invalid, the arbitration provision is void.
- Agency Proceedings: This agreement does not prevent bringing issues to federal, state, or local agencies.
- Fees and Costs: For claims $25,000 or less (Small Arbitration Claim), Lennox pays arbitration costs if the owner prevails. Attorney fees may be awarded to the owner. For claims over $25,000 (Large Arbitration Claim), prevailing party may recover fees. Lennox may pay arbitration costs if they are prohibitive.
- Mass Arbitration: Defines "Mass Arbitration" (e.g., 30+ claims by the same firm in 30 days). In Mass Arbitration, Lennox may not advance costs and may recover fees if it prevails.
- OPT OUT: Owners can opt out of arbitration by sending written notice to Lennox (address above) within 30 days of purchase. The notice must include owner's name, address, purchase date, equipment model/serial number, and a statement of opting out.
Non-Arbitration Class Action and Jury Waiver: If a dispute proceeds in court, both parties waive jury trial and agree to individual, non-class, non-representative proceedings.
Severability: If any provision is found illegal or unenforceable, it will be amended or severed, with remaining provisions remaining in effect.
Survival: Limitation of Liability, Exclusions, and Dispute Resolution sections survive warranty termination.
