Product Overview
The OSAME115R is an Energy Recovery Air Exchanger (ERV) with recirculation capabilities, designed by Ouellet. It offers efficient air exchange while recovering both sensible heat and latent humidity, contributing to reduced heating and cooling demands and improved indoor air quality.
The unit is designed for whisper-quiet operation, easy installation, and maintenance, and is manufactured in Canada to withstand variable climatic conditions. It features a compact, ultra-thin profile and is available in two configurations: Side Port and Top Port models.

The unit is ultra-thin at 9 inches (229 mm) and requires no drain. It is lightweight (37 lb / 16.8 kg) with 5-inch (127 mm) port sizes. Equipped with MERV 8 charcoal polyester filters.
- Motor: Utilizes an energy-efficient, sealed European motor with a closed housing and automatic reset thermal protection. Features electronic adjustment for balancing without flow keys and integrated pressure ports for precise balancing.
- Energy Recovery Core: High-efficiency, durable 100% polymer core that recovers both latent and sensible energy (heat and humidity). Meets or exceeds ASHRAE 90.1-2010 standards. The core is washable to restore effectiveness.
- Advanced Features: Incorporates antimicrobial protection (ISO846), tested for virus transfer avoidance (ASTM F-1671), certified for zero crossflow contamination (AHRI 1060), and meets UL94 HB flammability standards.
Control Options
Two primary control options are available:
- SA-LT15: A Decora-style wall-mounted control/timer offering modes for Intermittent (20-40 min), Continuous, Off, and a Timer (20-40-60 min).
- SA-LCD15: A digital Decora-style wall-mounted control/timer with modes for Intermittent (20-40 min), Continuous, Humidity, and Recirculation Off.
Installation and Settings
The OSAME115R can be ceiling-mounted or suspended, fitting easily into ceiling voids or below fire-rated ceilings. Nylon suspension straps are included for installation. An optional steel mounting plate (SA-P5R) is available for Top Port models.
Balancing the unit is facilitated by integrated pressure ports and electronic adjustments, requiring minimal tools and time. Installers need to specify desired airflow rates for low and high speeds, ensuring ducting does not limit maximum flow.
A furnace interconnect plug connector is factory installed.
Note: A backdraft damper is required for the fresh air inlet and is not supplied with the unit.
