- Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. Location of Controls (Top/Front)
- 1. Virtual Assistant wake up microphone: Used to activate voice commands for your connected device.
- 2. Handle release Button: Releases the cradle handle.
- 3. FUNCTION Button: Selects input modes such as CD, USB, Bluetooth, and Line In.
- 4. MASTER VOLUME + Button: Increases the overall volume of the unit.

Location of Controls (Rear)

Location of Controls (Display)
The unit's display provides information about the current mode and playback status:
- 1. CDG Indicator: Illuminates when a CD+G disc is playing.
- 2. Display: Shows track numbers, mode indicators, and other relevant information.
- 3. Repeat Indicator: Indicates the status of the repeat playback function.
- 4. Play/Pause Indicator: Shows whether playback is active or paused.
- 5. Program indicator: Illuminates when the track programming feature is active.
Connection
Connecting the Microphone(s)
To connect a microphone:
- Connect a microphone into the MIC jack 1 (labeled '1') and/or MIC jack 2 (labeled '2') as desired.
Note: Handle microphones with care. Avoid dropping or tapping them, as this may damage the microphones or the unit's speakers. Do not twist the microphone cord, as this can damage the internal wiring.
Connecting the Unit to a TV
To output video, lyrics, and audio to your television, follow these steps:
- Connect the RCA video cable (typically yellow) to the VIDEO OUT jack on the Singing Machine and the audio cables (typically white for left and red for right) to the AUDIO OUT jacks on the back of the unit.
- Connect the other ends of the RCA video cable (yellow) to the VIDEO IN jack on your TV, and the audio cables (white and red) to the AUDIO IN jacks on your TV.
Notes:
- While the unit can function without a TV, connecting to a TV is highly recommended to access all features, especially lyrics display.
- Refer to your TV's user guide for specific instructions on connecting external devices and selecting audio/video sources.
- To view lyrics on the screen, you must use a CD+G disc or MP3+G files.
Connecting to AC Power
Insert the unit's AC power cord into a conveniently located AC outlet (120V AC, 60Hz is standard for North America).
Note: Ensure all connections are made before plugging the unit into AC power.
Inserting Batteries
The unit can operate on batteries (not included) for portability:
- Slide the battery door in the direction indicated by the arrows to open the battery compartment.
- Insert eight (8) "C" size alkaline batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity as shown in the compartment diagram.
- Replace the battery cover securely before operating the unit.
Battery Precautions:
- Use only the specified size and type of batteries.
- Ensure correct polarity when installing batteries to prevent damage to the device.
- Do not mix different battery types (e.g., Alkaline with Carbon Zinc) or old batteries with fresh ones.
- If the device will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent potential leakage and damage.
- Do not attempt to recharge batteries not designed for recharging, as they may overheat and rupture. Follow battery manufacturer's directions.
- Rechargeable batteries should be removed from the product before charging.
- Rechargeable batteries should only be charged under adult supervision.
- Remove exhausted batteries from the product promptly.
- Batteries should not be exposed to excessive heat, such as direct sunlight or fire.
Energy Saving (Auto Power System-APS)
The unit is equipped with an Auto Power System (APS) that automatically enters Standby mode after 20 minutes of inactivity under the following conditions:
- No audio playback is detected in CD, USB, Bluetooth, or Line In modes.
- Playback of an external music player has stopped, but the audio cable remains connected to the LINE IN jack.
To resume operation, simply press the ⏻ (Power) button once. APS is designed to conserve energy.
Operation
Connecting to Line In Jack
Connect an external audio device using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) as shown:
- Connect the unit as described previously. Press the ⏻ (Power) button to turn the unit on.
- Connect the external audio unit to the LINE IN Jack located on the back of the Singing Machine. This connection allows audio from the external unit to be played through the Singing Machine.
Notes:
- It is recommended to set the volume on the auxiliary unit to approximately 1/3 or lower to prevent audio distortion.
- Skipping files or tracks is not possible when using an external device connected via the Line In jack.
- Repeatedly press the FUNCTION button to select the LINE IN mode; the display will show "AU".
- Adjust the volume to a comfortable level using the MASTER VOL + or – button on this unit, or by using the volume control on your external device.
- Connect microphone(s) and slide the ON/OFF switch on the microphone to the ON position.
- Press the MIC VOLUME + or – button as needed; this adjustment affects both microphones.
Disco Lights
When the unit is turned on, Light mode 1 is activated automatically, causing the lights to synchronize with the sound when you speak or sing into a microphone.
Press the LIGHTS button for Light mode 2, which displays a light show without responding to microphone input. Press the LIGHTS button again to turn off the lights.
Cradle
The unit features a cradle for holding a mobile device:
- Lift the handle (labeled '1') until you hear a "Click" sound; the handle will lock into position.
- You can now place your mobile device securely on the cradle (labeled '2').
- To return the handle to its original position, press the HANDLE RELEASE button (labeled '3') and push the handle back.
Playing a CDG
This unit is designed to play standard CDs and CD+G discs. If a disc does not conform to the standard, playback may be affected.
Notes:
- What is a CD+G? A CD+G (CD+Graphics) disc is the standard format for karaoke discs that display lyrics on a screen.
- Never insert objects other than CDs into the compartment, as foreign objects can damage the unit.
- If no disc is inserted, the display will show "no".
- Connect the unit as previously described and ensure it is connected to a TV. Press the ⏻ (Power) button to turn the unit on; the indicator light will illuminate.
- Lift open the CD door and gently place a CD or CD+G disc onto the center spindle. Close the CD door.
- Repeatedly press the FUNCTION button to select the CDG/CD mode. The display will show "---" while searching for the disc, and then the total number of tracks will appear.
Playing a CD (Continued)
- Press the ►II/STOP button to begin playback. If playing a CD+G file, the image and lyrics will appear on the TV screen (if connected). The CDG indicator will light up when a CDG disc is inserted.
- Adjust the volume to a comfortable listening level by pressing the MASTER VOL + or – buttons. Note: If connected to a TV or other audio source, you may also need to adjust the volume on that device.
- Connect your microphone(s) and slide the ON/OFF switch on each microphone to the ON position.
- Press the MIC VOLUME + or – buttons as desired to adjust the microphone volume. These adjustments affect both microphones.
- SING-ALONG WITH BUILT-IN VOICE CHANGERS: The unit features 6 built-in voice changers. Repeatedly press the FX button to select different vocal effects. The display will show the selected effect: EFO - NONE, EF1 - ECHO, EF2 - FEMALE, EF3 - MALE, EF4 - CHIPMUNK, EF5 - ROBOT, EF6 - RADIO.
- Adjust the Key: Use the KEY +/▲ (Navigation) and KEY –/▼ (Navigation) buttons to find the most suitable key for the playing track.
- SKIP: Advance or go back one track by pressing the ◄◄ (Navigation) or ►►I (Navigation) buttons, respectively.
- REPEAT: During playback, press the REPEAT/PROG button once to repeatedly play the selected song (the Repeat indicator will blink slowly). Press it a second time to repeatedly play the entire CD (the Repeat indicator will light solid). Press it again to cancel the Repeat function (the indicator will turn off).
- PROGRAM: You can program up to 20 tracks for playback in any desired order. While in Stop mode, press the REPEAT/PROG button. The Program indicator will blink, and "P01" will appear on the display, indicating the first track selection. Select the first track using the ◄◄ and ►►I (Navigation) buttons. Press the REPEAT/PROG button again to confirm the entry. Repeat this process to set up to 20 tracks into memory. When finished, press the ►II/STOP button to start playback of the programmed sequence. Program Notes: Press the ►II/STOP button TWICE to clear the program. Press and hold the ►II/STOP button to stop playback. If you attempt to program more than 20 tracks, "FUL" will appear in the display.
- PAUSE: During playback, press the ►II/STOP button momentarily to pause the disc. The PLAY/PAUSE indicator will blink. Press the button again to resume normal playback.
- Press and hold the ►II/STOP button to stop playback.
- RECORD YOUR VOCAL PERFORMANCE: Insert a USB drive first, then press the REC button. The song will start, and recording will begin. The record indicator will light solid. When recording is complete, press the REC button again; the record indicator will turn off. Notes: A USB drive (not included) must be inserted into the USB slot to record. The recorded audio file will be saved onto the USB drive. Refer to the "Playing Songs from the USB" section to play back your recorded files.
- Press the ⏻ (Power) button to turn the unit off.
Playing Songs from the USB
- Connect the unit as previously described and ensure it is connected to a TV. Press the ⏻ (Power) button to turn the unit on.
- Insert a USB flash drive into the USB slot on the unit.
- Repeatedly press the FUNCTION button to select the USB mode. The display will show "USb" while searching the drive, followed by the total number of files. Note: Connecting to a TV is highly recommended for USB playback to view song titles and folders.
- Press the ►II/STOP button to start playback. If playing an MP3+G file, the image and lyrics will appear on the TV screen (if connected). Notes: If connected to a TV, you will see the selected song and folders on the TV screen. You can navigate through them using the ◄◄ and ►►I (Navigation) buttons. If you have recorded audio files, you can also select them by navigating to the REC folder on the TV screen using the Navigation buttons.
- Adjust the volume to a comfortable level by pressing the MASTER VOL + or – buttons. Note: If connected to a TV or other audio source, adjust the volume on the TV using its own volume control.
- Connect your microphone(s) and slide the ON/OFF switch on the microphone to the ON position.
- Press the MIC VOLUME + or – buttons as desired to adjust the microphone volume. These adjustments affect both microphones.

In Stop mode, you can also use the navigation buttons to scroll right/left and up/down to select a folder or a specific track.
- REPEAT: During playback, press the REPEAT/PROG button once to repeatedly play the selected song (the repeat indicator will blink slowly). Press the REPEAT/PROG button a second time to repeatedly play the selected folder (the repeat indicator will blink rapidly). Press a third time to repeatedly play the entire USB content (the repeat indicator will light solid). Press it again to cancel the Repeat function (the indicator will turn off).
- PROGRAM: You can program up to 20 tracks for playback in any desired order. While in Stop mode, press the REPEAT/PROG button. The Program indicator will blink, and "P01" will appear on the display, indicating the first track selection. Select the first track using the ◄◄ and ►►I (Navigation) buttons. Press the REPEAT/PROG button again to confirm the entry. Repeat this process to set up to 20 tracks into memory. When finished, press the ►II/STOP button to start playback of the programmed sequence. Using a Bluetooth Device
- Connect the unit as previously described. Press the ⏻ (Power) button to turn the unit on.
- Repeatedly press the FUNCTION button to select the Bluetooth mode; "bt" will appear in the display. The unit automatically searches for and pairs with a previously paired Bluetooth device. If no previously paired devices are present, you may need to initiate pairing manually.
- To initiate pairing, press and hold the BT button. The Bluetooth indicator will flash alternating blue and red lights, and the display will flash "bt" & "pr" within 60 seconds. On your device, go to Bluetooth settings, search for a discoverable device, and select "SINGING MACHINE" from the list. Note: Refer to your Bluetooth device's user manual for detailed pairing instructions.
- Upon successful pairing, the Bluetooth indicator will light solid blue, and a chime will sound. Notes: If your Bluetooth device prompts for a passcode during pairing, enter "0000". On some devices, after pairing, select "Use as Audio Device" or similar. If the connection is lost, ensure the distance between the speaker and your Bluetooth device does not exceed 30 feet (10 meters).
- Start playback of your Bluetooth device. Press the ►II/STOP button during playback to pause the song.
- Adjust the volume to a comfortable level by pressing the MASTER VOL + or – buttons. Also, adjust the volume on your Bluetooth device.
- Connect your microphone(s) and slide the ON/OFF switch on the microphone to the ON position.
- Press the MIC VOLUME + or – buttons as desired to adjust the microphone volume. These adjustments affect both microphones.
- VOCALS OFF: To sing without the lead singer on a recording, press the VOCALS OFF button. The Bluetooth indicator will light solid red. To restore the lead singer, press the VOCALS OFF button again. Note: Lead vocal removal effectiveness may vary depending on the song.
- SING-ALONG WITH BUILT-IN VOICE CHANGERS: The unit features 6 built-in voice changers. Repeatedly press the FX button to select different vocal effects. The display will show the selected effect: EFO - NONE, EF1 - ECHO, EF2 - FEMALE, EF3 - MALE, EF4 - CHIPMUNK, EF5 - ROBOT, EF6 - RADIO.
- SKIP: Advance or go back one track by pressing the ◄◄ or ►►I (Navigation) buttons, respectively.
- RECORD YOUR VOCAL PERFORMANCE: To record your singing along with the music, press the REC button. Recording will begin, and the record indicator will light solid. - Virtual Assistant: To control your mobile device using voice commands, press the VIRTUAL ASSISTANT WAKE UP button and speak to the unit. Ensure you speak towards the virtual assistant microphone located on the top of the unit. Note: The voice control function is available only when using the Bluetooth connection mode.
- Press the ⏻ (Power) button to turn the unit off.
Where to Download MP3+G Files
Helpful Hints:
The .mp3 and .cdg files are delivered for download in a single, compressed MP3+G.zip file. The MP3+G file cannot be played directly from a .zip file on a USB flash drive. To play karaoke songs using a USB flash drive, the MP3+G .zip file must be unzipped as follows:
- Connect a USB flash drive to your computer.
- Download the MP3+G file from your Digital Locker and save the .zip file to a folder on your computer.
- Double-click the .zip file to open it (you will see the .mp3 and .cdg files).
- Drag and drop the .mp3 and .cdg files to the USB flash drive.
- Safely eject the USB flash drive from your computer.
- Turn on the Singing Machine and connect the USB flash drive.

- Download your selected purchase(s) from the Singing Machine Digital Locker to your USB flash drive.
- Insert the USB flash drive as shown on page E12 and enjoy!
Note: Your downloaded songs can also be burned to a blank CDR/CDRW.
Troubleshooting Guide
Should this unit exhibit a problem, check the following before seeking service:
No Power
- Power is not on; press the ⏻ (Power) button to turn power on.
- Confirm the AC adapter is connected securely to the back of the unit.
- Connect the unit to a different outlet.
- If using batteries, replace with new ones.
- The normal function of the product may be disturbed by strong Electro-Magnetic Interference. If so, simply restart the product by following the instruction manual. In the event the function does not resume, try using the machine in another part of the home.
No Sound – General
- MASTER VOLUME is set to minimum; raise the volume.
- The correct Function was not selected; select using the FUNCTION button.
- If using an external device, raise its volume.
No Sound – If connected to a TV
- The volume on the TV is muted or too low.
- The correct source (usually AV) was not selected on the TV's menu.
Lyrics do not appear on the TV screen
- If connected to a TV, ensure the video plug is connected properly (see page E5).
- If connected to a TV, select the correct source on the TV (usually AV).
- The file/track being played may not be a track recording with lyrics. Only specific file types display lyrics on the TV screen.
- Nothing will appear on the TV screen when using Line In or Bluetooth connections.
No sound from the microphone
- Ensure the microphone is firmly connected to the MIC 1 or MIC 2 jack.
- Make sure the microphone's ON/OFF switch is set to the ON position.
- Ensure the microphone's volume is not set too low.
- MASTER VOLUME is set to minimum; raise the volume.
File(s) on USB jack not playing
- The file may be corrupted; try replacing the file.
- The file may not be in a format the unit supports.
- The connected USB device may not be supported by the product.
The Bluetooth device cannot be paired or connected with the unit
- Ensure the Bluetooth function of your device is activated (see page E16 or refer to your Bluetooth device's user manual).
- The system may not be in pairing mode; press and hold the ►II/STOP button to restart pairing.
The Music is not available on the unit after successfully connecting the Bluetooth
- Ensure your Bluetooth device supports the A2DP Bluetooth profile.
