SELTRON SMART HEATING
Installation Instructions
Mounting Location Guidance
Selecting the correct mounting location is essential for the accurate operation of your Seltron Smart Heating system. Please adhere to the following recommendations:
Recommended Clearances: Maintain a minimum distance of 20cm from corners and approximately 150cm from the floor.
Unsuitable Locations: Avoid installing the unit near sources of heat, direct sunlight, drafts (e.g., from windows or ventilation), or in areas with poor air circulation. These conditions can lead to inaccurate temperature readings.
Suitable Locations: Choose an internal wall in a representative area of the room, away from obstructions, to ensure reliable temperature sensing.
Visual Description: The diagrams illustrate wall mounting scenarios. One area is marked with a red 'X' (❌) indicating an unsuitable location, often near a window or vent. Another area is marked with a green checkmark (✔️) indicating a suitable location on a clear wall section, respecting the specified minimum clearances.
Installation Steps
Follow these sequential steps for the physical installation of the RCD20 unit:
- Mounting Plate Installation: Securely attach the provided mounting plate to the wall at the selected location.
- Wiring to Mounting Plate: Connect the system's wiring to the terminals on the mounting plate as per the wiring diagram.
- Wiring to RCD20 Unit: Connect the wires from the mounting plate to the corresponding terminals on the back of the RCD20 unit.
- Unit Attachment: Align the RCD20 unit with the mounting plate and gently push until it clicks into place.
- Final Securing: Ensure the unit is firmly and securely attached to the mounting plate.
Visual Description: The diagrams provide a step-by-step visual guide. Step 1 shows the mounting bracket being fixed to a wall. Step 2 illustrates wires being connected to the terminals on the bracket. Step 3 shows the connection of wires to the terminals on the rear of the RCD20 unit. Step 4 depicts the RCD20 unit being aligned with and attached to the mounting bracket. Step 5 shows the completed installation of the unit.
