Seltron Smart Heating

Description

This section describes the buttons and status indicators on the Seltron Room Unit RCD20.

Buttons:

• [Exit]: Button to turn off the function and exit the settings.
• [Down]: Button to reduce the value and move backward.
• [Confirm]: Button to enter and confirm the settings.
• [Up]: Button to increase value and move forward.
• [User/Smart Connect]: Button for user functions / smart device connection.
• [USB-C Charging]: Connection for charging the built-in battery is type USB-C. Only for wireless room unit.

Status Indicators:

• [Battery 100% Full]: The battery is 100% full.
• [Battery Charging Required]: Battery charging required.
• [Battery Charging]: The battery is charging.
• [Smart Device Connected]: The connection to the smart device is established.
• [Smart Device Connecting]: The connection to the smart device is being established.
• [Wireless Signal Excellent]: Wireless connection with the controller is established. The signal is excellent.
• [Wireless Signal Good]: Wireless connection with the controller is established. The signal is good.
• [Wireless Signal Weak]: Wireless connection with the controller is established. The signal is weak.
• [Wireless Connection Establishing/Failed]: Wireless connection with the controller is being established or cannot be established.
• [Keypad Locked]: Locked keypad / access to the room unit is limited.
• [Room Unit Malfunction]: Room unit operation malfunction.

Operating Modes & Functions:

• [Heating Off]: Switching off the heating or cooling of the premises.
• [Freeze/Overheat Protection Active]: Protection against freezing or overheating is active.
• [Room Heating]: Room heating.
• [Room Cooling]: Room cooling.
• [Daily Temperature Operation]: Operation according to the required daily temperature.
• [Night Temperature Operation]: Operation according to the required night temperature.
• [Measured Room Temperature]: Measured room temperature.
• [Party Function Active]: Party function is activated.
• [Eco Function Active]: The Eco function is activated.
• [Holiday Function Active]: The Holiday function is activated.
• [Fireplace Function Active]: The Fireplace function is activated.
• [DHW by Schedule]: Domestic Hot Water (DHW) according to the time program.
• [DHW Permanent Activation]: DHW - permanent activation.
• [DHW One-Time Activation]: Function for one-time DHW heating is activated.

Charging the Battery (Wireless Models Only)

The room unit has a built-in rechargeable battery. It is recommended to fully charge the battery before first use. Use any standard USB-C charger. The charging port is on the lower part of the unit. Full charging can take up to 10 hours and should be done annually. The unit does not need to be removed from its base for charging. The unit ships in battery saving mode ("St.by"), which is deactivated for 1 hour upon pressing any button. This mode is permanently deactivated upon first connection to the controller. If connection fails within an hour, it reverts to battery saving mode.

Activation and Deactivation of Operation

Press the [Exit] button for 1 second to cycle through operating modes: Room Heating, Room Heating & DHW, DHW Only, or Heating Off.

To choose between heating or cooling mode, press and hold the [Up] or [Down] button for 10 seconds. This can only be done when the unit is off.

Setting Desired Day and Night Temperature

With the unit on, press the [Up] or [Down] buttons to access temperature settings. Use the [Up] and [Down] buttons to adjust the temperature. Press [Confirm] to move to the next setting or exit.

User Functions

Press the [User/Smart Connect] button to access user functions. Select a function with [Up]/[Down] and confirm with [Confirm]. Set the desired temperature for the function using [Up]/[Down] and confirm with [Confirm]. Finally, set the automatic expiration time/date using [Up]/[Down] and confirm with [Confirm] to exit.

Available functions include:

• [Comfort Temp]: For operation at a comfortable temperature.
• [Economy Temp]: For operation at an economy temperature.
• [Holiday Temp]: For operation at a holiday temperature.
• [DHW One-Time]: For one-time activation of domestic hot water heating.
• [Independent Temp]: For operation regardless of room temperature.

Active user functions can be deactivated by selecting them again.

Control with a Smart Device

Download the "Clausius BT" app from the [Google Play Store] for Android devices or the [Apple App Store] for iOS devices. Open the app, click the [Add Device] to add a new device, and follow the app's instructions.
