Safety and Use Precautions
Please read this chapter carefully before using your device. Improper use may lead to damage or injury.
- Do not use the device while driving unless it is safely parked. Using a handheld device while driving is illegal in many countries.
- Observe restrictions in specific locations such as hospitals, airplanes, gas stations, and schools.
- Switch off the device before boarding an aircraft.
- Switch off the device in healthcare facilities, except in designated areas.
- Switch off the device near gas or flammable liquids, and obey all posted signs and instructions in fuel depots, petrol stations, chemical plants, or any potentially explosive atmosphere.
- Turn off the device in blasting areas or areas with signs requesting the shutdown of "two-way radios" or "electronic devices" to avoid interference with blasting operations.
- Consult your doctor and the device manufacturer to determine if your device might interfere with medical devices (e.g., pacemakers, hearing aids, insulin pumps). Keep the device at least 15 cm (approx. 6 inches) away from medical devices when it is powered on.
- Do not allow children to use or play with the device or accessories unsupervised.
- To reduce radio wave exposure:
- Use a hands-free kit.
- Keep the device away from the abdomen of pregnant women or adolescents.
- Do not expose the device to adverse weather or environmental conditions (moisture, rain, liquids, dust, sea air). The recommended operating temperature range is 0°C (32°F) to 40°C (104°F). Temperatures above 40°C may temporarily impair display legibility.
- Use only batteries, chargers, and accessories compatible with your device model.
- Do not use a damaged device (e.g., cracked screen, dented back cover) as it may cause injury.
- Avoid keeping the device connected to the charger for extended periods after the battery is fully charged, as this can cause overheating and shorten battery life.
- Do not sleep with the device on your person or in your bed. Do not place it under blankets, pillows, or your body, especially when charging, as this can lead to overheating.
Hearing Protection, Battery, and Chargers
Hearing Protection
To prevent potential hearing damage, avoid listening at high volumes for extended periods. Exercise caution when holding the device near your ear while using the loudspeaker.
Battery Information
The device battery is not fully charged upon purchase due to air regulations. Please charge it fully before first use.
- Do not attempt to open the battery due to the risk of toxic fumes and burns.
- For devices with non-removable batteries, do not attempt to eject or replace the battery.
- Do not puncture, disassemble, or short-circuit the battery.
- For unibody devices, do not attempt to open or puncture the back cover.
- Do not burn or dispose of batteries or the device in household waste. Do not store them at temperatures above 60°C (140°F), as this can cause explosion or leakage of flammable liquid/gas. Similarly, extreme low air pressure can cause explosion or leakage.
- Use the battery only for its intended purpose. Never use damaged batteries.
CAUTION: RISK OF EXPLOSION IF BATTERY IS REPLACED BY AN INCORRECT TYPE. DISPOSE OF USED BATTERIES ACCORDING TO INSTRUCTIONS.
Dispose of the device, accessories, and battery in accordance with local environmental regulations. The symbol ♻️ (or [recycle-symbol]) on the device, battery, or accessories indicates that these products must be taken to designated collection points at the end of their life. These include municipal waste disposal centers with specific bins or collection bins at points of sale. Recycling prevents environmental pollution and allows components to be reused.
Chargers
Home AC/Travel chargers operate within a temperature range of 0°C (32°F) to 40°C (104°F).
Chargers are designed to meet safety standards for information technology and office equipment. Due to varying electrical specifications, a charger purchased in one jurisdiction may not work in another. They should only be used for their intended purpose.
Electrical Characteristics (country-dependent):
- Travel Charger Input: 100-240V, 50/60Hz, 0.35A
- Travel Charger Output: 5V, 2A
- Battery: Lithium 6000 mAh (Typical Capacity)
Radio Waves and Compliance
This device meets government requirements for radio wave exposure.
The exposure standard uses the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) unit. The SAR limit set by authorities like the FCC (US) and ISEDC (Canada) is 1.6 W/kg averaged over 1 gram of body tissue. SAR tests are conducted using standard operating positions at the device's highest certified power level across all tested frequency bands.
This device complies with SAR limits for general population/uncontrolled exposure (ANSI/IEEE C95.1-1992) and was tested according to IEEE1528 procedures.
The FCC has granted an Equipment Authorization for this model. All reported SAR levels comply with FCC RF exposure guidelines. SAR information for this model is on file with the FCC and can be found on www.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid by searching for FCC ID: 2ACCJB222.
The highest SAR value tested for this device for body-worn use is 1.36 W/Kg.
While SAR levels may vary between devices and positions, they all meet government RF exposure requirements.
For body-worn operation, the device meets FCC RF exposure guidelines when used with a non-metallic accessory and kept at least 0 mm from the body. Using other accessories may not ensure compliance.
Additional SAR information is available on the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association (CTIA) website: www.ctia.org.
Important Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. If not installed and used according to instructions, it may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If interference is suspected, try one or more of the following:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment to an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for assistance.
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
For receiver devices associated with licensed radio services, the following statement applies:
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
- This device may not cause harmful interference;
- This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
