Replacing the Switches
Follow these steps to replace the mouse switches:
- Ensure the mouse is powered off.
- Carefully remove the screws securing the bottom cover of the mouse.
- Gently detach the bottom cover.
- Locate the existing mouse switches in their sockets.
- Remove the old switch by pulling it straight up.
- Insert the new switch, ensuring its button faces the front of the mouse.
- Confirm that the switches are properly seated in their sockets.
- Reattach the bottom cover and secure it with the screws.

Setting Up the Wireless Receiver/Charging Dock
Connect the wireless receiver/charging dock to your computer using the provided USB Type-C to Type-A cable.

Connecting Your Gaming Mouse
As a Wired Mouse:
Connect the bundled USB Type-C® to Type-A cable directly to your gaming mouse and a USB port on your computer.
As an RF Wireless Mouse:
- Connect the bundled USB Type-C® to Type-A cable to your wireless receiver/charging dock and a USB port on your computer.
- NOTE: Your gaming mouse is paired by default. Follow steps 2-5 only if re-pairing is necessary.
- Press the Pairing button on the rear of the wireless receiver/charging dock for 3 seconds. The Dock LED indicator should begin blinking green.
- Slide the Power Switch on your ROG Spatha X gaming mouse to the ON position.
- Press the Pairing button on your ROG Spatha X gaming mouse for 3 seconds. The mouse LEDs should begin blinking green.
- Once successfully paired, the Dock LED indicator and gaming mouse LEDs will return to their original lighting effects.
NOTE: Click the left button to wake your ROG SPATHA X gaming mouse from sleep mode.
NOTE: Download and install the latest drivers from https://www.asus.com.

Battery Status
The LEDs on your gaming mouse will turn red (breathing) when the battery power is below 20% in RF 2.4G mode. You can charge your gaming mouse using the bundled USB cable or the wireless receiver/charging dock.
Using the DPI On-The-Scroll Tuning Function
This function allows you to customize DPI without Armoury Crate:
- Press and hold the DPI button for 3 seconds until the mouse LEDs light up.
- Scroll the scroll wheel forwards or backwards to adjust the DPI. The LED color hue on the scroll wheel will vary based on the DPI adjustment.
NOTE: DPI increments/decrements occur in 50 DPI steps. The DPI range is from 100 DPI (blue) to 19000 DPI (red).
- Press the DPI button once to save the changes.
Updating the Gaming Mouse and Wireless Receiver/Charging Dock
- Connect your gaming mouse or wireless receiver/charging dock to your computer using the bundled cable.
- Download and install the Armoury Crate software from ASUS Support.
- Follow the software instructions to update your gaming mouse's firmware.
- Customize your gaming mouse using Armoury Crate.
