A look inside the Samsung Jitterbug.
Tools Required:

Step 1: Samsung Jitterbug Teardown

- First remove the battery and rubber feet from the base and under the phone number inside.
- Undo all six screws. Only the two under the battery will come out fully.
Step 2
[Image: The internal components of the Samsung Jitterbug, with six clips circled in green on the main board and casing.] [Image: The main circuit board of the Samsung Jitterbug with key components highlighted: a blue connector for the screen/speaker, a purple chip, and an orange charging port.]
- Pop the six clips indicated in green and remove the back. The author notes difficulty with side clips and suggests starting with the top four.
- The blue highlight indicates the connector to the screen and speaker board in the top of the phone.
- The purple highlight indicates a chip, and the orange highlight indicates the charging port.
- The opposite side of the board (not pictured) has the microphone on it; it's a small black round bump on the bottom.
Step 3

- Unhook the screen connector and pop out the board (use a screwdriver under and pop).
- Peel off the button pad.
Step 4
[Image: The front of the Samsung Jitterbug phone with the rubber front cover circled in red, indicating removal.] [Image: The front casing of the Samsung Jitterbug with five clips circled in red, indicating points for disassembly.] [Image: The disassembled Samsung Jitterbug, showing the front casing and internal components.]
- Remove the rubber front, then turn the phone over.
- Pop all five clips. Start at the top near the hinge and work down.
Step 5
[Image: The disassembled Samsung Jitterbug, with internal components highlighted: blue for the main screen and mini screen board, green for buttons and speaker, and purple for another component.] [Image: The screen and speaker board of the Samsung Jitterbug.] [Image: The front casing of the Samsung Jitterbug with the screen assembly.]
- Blue indicates the main screen and mini screen board. Green indicates buttons and underneath is the main speaker. Purple indicates [component not fully described in OCR].
- Pop out all pieces. Be careful not to break the cabling connecting the outer bits to the board.
To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
