Honeywell HD55IP Performance Series IP Camera
Overview
Honeywell's HD55IP is a 720p resolution, Day/Night rugged indoor/outdoor fixed mini-dome network camera engineered for crisp images at minimal bandwidth. It offers progressive scan technology and 2D edge enhancement for clarity and definition, with Digital Noise Reduction for significant storage savings and improved low-light performance. The 1/4" progressive scan CMOS sensor provides accurate color rendition in various lighting conditions and supports the PSIA specification for interoperability.
The HD55IP features an ultra-compact, single-piece, vandal-resistant unit for fast and easy installation, designed for surface mounting. Wall and pendant mount kits are available.
A 3-D axis gimbal allows 360° pan, 180° tilt, and 360° horizontal rotation for simple camera adjustment. The Vari-focal Auto Iris lens enables field of view customization, and an integrated analog output is provided for local monitor connection during setup. A powerful web client allows fine-tuning of camera and auto iris levels.
The camera supports dual video streams with multiple compression formats (up to 30 fps NTSC, 25 fps PAL), with independently configurable parameters for each stream. A third analog stream can serve as backup or for local viewing, useful for retrofitting onto existing analog DVRs or encoders.
Power is supplied via built-in low current Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af, Class 1) using standard network cabling, eliminating the need for a separate power supply. Alternatively, the unit can be powered directly from 24 VAC.
Market Opportunities
The HD55IP is ideal for installations requiring excellent picture clarity at minimal bandwidth. Offering three times the resolution of standard analog cameras with similar bandwidth requirements, it can be retrofitted onto many existing DVR/NVR installations without needing additional storage. Its discreet, vandal-resistant, outdoor design is impact resistant and offers maximum protection against dust, dirt, and water, ensuring optimum performance in both indoor and outdoor applications.
