Overview

The Schlage AD-250 is a standalone electronic lock within the AD-Series product line. It can be powered by batteries or an external power supply. The lock features an audit trail of events and is configured using the Schlage Utility Software (SUS).

Getting Started

To set up a new lock, follow these steps: install the lock, ensure batteries are properly installed, configure the master construction credential, test lock operation, and consult the Schlage Utility Software user guide.

Lock Functions

The AD-250 supports various functions including Privacy, Office, Apartment, and Classroom/Storeroom modes, each with specific operational characteristics for access control.

Construction Access Mode

This mode allows access before the lock is fully programmed and is useful for testing. It is enabled by default and can be cancelled by programming the lock with SUS or resetting to factory defaults.

Troubleshooting

This section provides solutions for common issues such as the lock beeper not sounding, the keypad not lighting up, or the magnetic swipe card not reading correctly.
