Welcome to the BHT-9000 Smart Knob Thermostat. This guide provides information for Water Heating, Boiler, and Electric Heating systems.
Please confirm that this product is suitable for your heating equipment before installation. For safe and proper use, please adhere to the following:
- Ensure power is turned off before installation or maintenance.
- Strictly follow the wiring diagram for installation.
- Confirm fasteners are suitable for the product when mounting to the wall.
- Do not pull cables too hard to avoid product damage.
- If using hard plastic wire, bend it to an appropriate angle beforehand.
- Professional installation is recommended.
- Contact after-sales service for equipment failure; do not attempt self-repair.
- After installation, refer to this manual to ensure normal and safe use, and keep the manual properly.

Installation
Your thermostat is suitable for installation within a standard 86mm pattress box or a European 60mm pattress box.
Installation Steps
- Separate the upper and lower boards.
- Connect the power cord and device cord.
- Fix the screws on the cassette.
- Fasten the panel to the mounting plate.
- Fix the screws on the cassette.
Before Wiring and Install
Important Safety Precautions:
- Read these instructions carefully. Failure to follow them could damage the product or cause a hazardous condition.
- Check the ratings given in the instructions and on the product to ensure suitability for your application.
- Installer must be a trained, experienced service technician.
- After installation is complete, check product operation as provided in these instructions.
Caution: Electrical Shock or Equipment Damage Hazard. Can shock individuals or short equipment circuitry. Disconnect power supply before installation.
Wiring Diagrams
Diagrams illustrate wiring for different models:
- GA (Water Heating): Shows connections for AC 95~240V (L, N) and NTC sensor. Protection Class IP20.
- GB (Electric Heating): Shows connections for AC 95~240V (L, N), NTC sensor, and LOAD terminals (L1, N1). Protection Class IP20.
- GC (Water/Gas Boiler): Shows connections for AC 95~240V (L, N) and NTC sensor. Protection Class IP20.
Note: GA is for water heating; GB is for electric heating; GC is for water/gas boiler; NTC and Modbus are optional.
Operation
Power On/Off
Press the knob to turn the thermostat on/off.
Manual & Programmable Modes
Touch the mode icon [Mode Button] to switch between manual mode (indicated by Manual) and programmable mode (indicated by Programmable).
Setting Temperature
In programming mode, temperature and time settings are locked. To adjust, first switch to manual mode by pressing the [Display Button]. In manual mode, turn the knob to set the desired temperature.
Adjusting/Setting the Clock
Press the clock icon [Clock Button] to set the minute, hour, and weekday. Adjust values by turning the knob. Press the [Clock Button] again to confirm and exit.
Locking Your Thermostat
Press and hold the [Display Button] and the [Lock Button] for 5 seconds to lock/unlock your thermostat. You can select full lock or half lock in the advanced options (item 3).
Adjusting/Setting the Programmable Schedules
Press the schedule icon [Schedule Button] four times. The minutes of the time will flash; set them using the knob. Press the [Schedule Button] again, the hour will flash; set the hour by turning the knob. Press the [Schedule Button] again, the temperature setting will flash; set the temperature by turning the knob. This completes the setting for period 1. Repeat this process for periods 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Press the [Schedule Button] once more to enter Saturday schedule settings (indicated by 'SAT' on screen). Repeat the process for Sunday schedule settings. Press the [Schedule Button] once more to confirm and exit.

A separate schedule can be set for weekdays (Mon-Fri) and weekends (Sat or Sun).

Checking the Temperature of Floor Sensor
Press and hold the up arrow [Up Arrow Button] for 5 seconds to display the temperature of the floor sensor. If no external sensor is connected, the thermostat will display "Er" (Error). Note: Do not use third-party external sensors, as the temperature reading may be incorrect.
Setting the Functions and Options
During power off, press and hold the [Display Button] and the [Mode Button] for 8 seconds to access system functions. Then press the [Mode Button] to scroll through available functions and use the knob to change options. All settings are confirmed automatically.

About Wi-Fi Connection
Before using your Wi-Fi thermostat for the first time, configure the Wi-Fi signal and settings using your smartphone or tablet to enable communication between devices.
Step 1: Download Your APP
Search for "Smartlife" in the Apple Store or Google Play, or scan the QR code provided (Figure 1-2). Complete account registration and installation according to the APP's guidance.

Step 2: Connect the Thermostat
Method 1: Bluetooth Network Distribution
Turn on your mobile phone's Bluetooth. Set the thermostat to the Wi-Fi enabled state (press and hold the [Mode Button] for 8 seconds when the thermostat is off). Follow the tutorial to complete connection and settings.

Method 2: Scan the QR Code to Configure Network
Follow the guide using the QR code for connection and setup.

Method 3: Ordinary Distribution Network Guidance
Follow the steps involving device reset and selecting the Wi-Fi network.

Network Distribution Modes
EZ Mode
When the thermostat is off, press and hold the [Mode Button] until the thermostat screen flashes quickly and displays the [Wi-Fi Icon - Fast Blink] icon. Then, operate according to the provided figures (Fig 2.9-Fig 2.13).

AP Mode
When the thermostat is off, press and hold the [Mode Button] until the thermostat screen flashes slowly and the [Wi-Fi Icon - Slow Blink] icon is displayed. (If the [Wi-Fi Icon - Static] icon appears, continue pressing the [Mode Button] until the screen flashes slowly and displays the [Wi-Fi Icon - Slow Blink] icon). Then, operate according to the provided figures (Fig 2.14-Fig 2.19).

APP Operation Interface Description
The app interface allows for adjusting temperature, changing device names, and setting weekly programming schedules. It also displays current and target temperatures, floor temperature, and sensor types.
