Installation

Connect

To separate the Mount Plate from the Base Plate, loosen the Base Locking Screw using the provided T25 hand tool. Back the screw out approximately 0.2 inches (5mm) from the Base Plate; do not remove it completely. Twist the Mount Plate counter-clockwise and pull it off the underside of the Base Plate.

Disassemble the cable sealing assembly, discarding the blue protective insert. Ensure the rubber seal is removed from the body. Keep the body, rubber seal, and cap for reassembly.

Insert the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port. Scan the QR code on the product for easy camera registration and setup, or proceed to verkada.com/start.

Grounding

To attach the ground cable:

  1. Align a 20 AWG or larger ground cable with a ring terminal.
  2. Drive an M4-0.7 x 6mm screw (not included) through the terminal and into the threaded grounding point on the back of the device.
  3. Attach the other terminal of the ground cable directly to a circuit breaker, ground rod, or earth ground.

This unit is powered by PoE through a UL Listed ITE.

Mounting 1/2

Mount the camera on a wall or ceiling, keeping it 8-10 feet above the ground.

Diagram Description: Illustrates recommended wall mounting position and ceiling mounting position for the camera.

For best night vision, avoid overhangs or obstructions that might reflect the camera's IR illumination and reduce image clarity in night mode.

Note: If mounting using ACC-MNT-11, refer to the "Mounting on Verkada ACC-MNT-11" section.

Mounting 2/2

For solid materials (wood, metal): Drill 1/8 inch pilot holes and drive mounting screws directly into them. Drill a one-inch hole for the Ethernet cable and dongle to pass through.

For drywall, plaster, or masonry: Separate wall anchors may be required.

Feed the Ethernet cable through the center of the Mount Plate before fully securing it to the mounting surface. Leave enough slack for handling during cable gland installation.

Cable Sealing Assembly

Diagram Description: Shows the components of the cable sealing assembly (RJ45 Cord, Rubber Seal, RJ45 Jack, Body, Cap) and the steps for assembly.

  1. Thread cable-sealing components onto the RJ45 cord.
  2. Insert the RJ45 plug into the jack. Twist to lock the body onto the RJ45 Jack.
  3. Insert the rubber seal into the body.
  4. Screw the cap onto the body.

Secure

Align the mounting features on the Mount Plate with the mounting pegs on the backside of the CB52/CB62 Base Plate. Feed the cable assembly into the wall.

Engage the mounting pegs and twist clockwise until the camera locks securely in place. Tighten the T25 security screw using the provided hand tool.

Adjust

Adjust the camera to the desired viewing angle. Use the online stream in Verkada Command to confirm image orientation. The image can be flipped 180 degrees online.

To lock the camera in place, use the T25 security Torx key to turn the screw on the side of the stand, tightening the ball joint. For full security, rotate the Torx handle 90 degrees and tighten the screw further.

Diagram Description: Illustrates Pan, Tilt, and Rotate adjustments for the camera.

Remove protective film from lens

Peel back the protective film from the front lens housing, starting from the blue tab on the underside of the camera.

Installation on Verkada ACC-MNT-11

Mounting on Verkada ACC-MNT-11 (1/3)

Diagram Description: Shows four hole patterns (A, B, C, D) for mounting the camera and adapter to different junction box types (4" square, double-gang).

  • Hole Patterns:
  • A: 4" square junction box (to mount surface)
  • B: 4" square junction box (to device)
  • C: 4" square junction box, alternative (to mount surface)
  • D: Double-gang junction box (to CB51/61 Junction Box Adapter)

Mounting on Verkada ACC-MNT-11 (2/3)

For solid materials (wood, metal): Drill 1/8 inch pilot holes and drive mounting screws directly into them using hole pattern A of the junction box. Feed the Ethernet cable through the center of the junction box before securing it. For drywall, plaster, or masonry, use wall anchors.

Align the mounting features on the Junction Box Adapter with the mounting pegs inside the junction box using hole pattern B. Insert 4 M4x8, Phillips pan head machine screws.

Attach the junction box cover and camera mount plate to the junction box cover adapter using 4 M4x8, Phillips Pan head machine screws.

Mounting on Verkada ACC-MNT-11 (3/3)

Assemble the cable sealing assembly (refer to the "Cable Sealing Assembly" section for steps).

Feed the cable assembly into the junction box. Engage the mounting pegs and twist clockwise until the camera locks securely. Tighten the T25 security screw with the provided hand tool.
