Update Methods

Embedded Web Server (EWS)

Access the printer's EWS via its IP address. Navigate to the Firmware Upgrade link within the Troubleshooting tab to upload and install the firmware. Pre-Boot Walk-up USB Thumb Drive

This method is used if the printer cannot boot to READY. Copy the firmware file (.bdl) to a FAT32 formatted USB drive. Access the printer's control panel menu (Administrator > Download > USB Thumbdrive) to select and install the firmware.

Web Jetadmin

For managing multiple devices, use Web Jetadmin (version 10.4 or newer). Navigate to Device Management, select devices, right-click, and choose "Upgrade firmware...". Firmware files can be uploaded to the repository if not automatically listed.
