1. Bluetooth Pairing
Follow these steps to connect your keyboard to your iPad:
- Place your iPad in its case and slide the keyboard's power switch to the "ON" position.
- Press and hold the Fn + Delete keys simultaneously. The keyboard will enter pairing mode, indicated by a blinking blue Bluetooth indicator light.
- On your iPad, navigate to Settings > Bluetooth. Ensure Bluetooth is turned on.
- "Inateck KB04122-11" will appear under "Other Devices". Tap on it to pair.
- The Bluetooth indicator will turn off within seconds, confirming a successful connection.
Note for iPad Setup: For optimal user experience, after pairing, configure your iPad's trackpad settings. Go to Settings > General > Trackpad and adjust tracking speed. Enable "Tap to Click" and "Two Finger Secondary Click". Also, disable "Assistive Touch" (Settings > Accessibility > Touch) and enable "Four & Five Finger Gestures" (Settings > Multitasking & Gestures). Disable "Full Keyboard Access" (Settings > Accessibility > Keyboards).
Optional Settings:
- To prevent Caps Lock from changing keyboard language: Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Hardware Keyboard and turn off "Switch Languages using Caps Lock".
- To disable the double-tap period shortcut: Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Hardware Keyboard and enable the "." shortcut.
Troubleshooting Bluetooth Pairing:
- On your iPad, go to Settings > Bluetooth. Find "Inateck KB04122-11" in "My Devices", tap the info icon (ⓘ) next to it, and select "Forget This Device". Clear all previous pairing records for the keyboard if multiple exist.
- To reset the keyboard to factory defaults, press and hold the Esc + = keys simultaneously for 3 seconds. The three indicators will blink three times, confirming the reset.
- Re-pair your Inateck KB04122-11 with your iPad.

5. Restore Factory Defaults
To restore the keyboard to its factory settings, press and hold the Esc + = keys simultaneously for 3 seconds. The three indicators will blink three times, confirming the reset.
6. Check Battery Level
Press and hold the Fn + Cmd keys simultaneously. The battery level can be checked by the blinking frequency of the red battery indicator:

7. Charging
When the battery level is below 20%, the battery indicator will blink red. Recharge the keyboard promptly. The recommended charging voltage and current are 5V and 250mA, respectively. Connect the included USB cable to a cellphone charger or a computer's USB port. The keyboard will be fully charged in 2-3 hours. The indicator will be solid red while charging and turn solid green when fully charged.
8. Sleep Mode
If the KB04122-11 is left idle for 10 minutes, it will enter sleep mode, and the Bluetooth connection will be disrupted. The connection can be re-established by pressing any key. Note: Tapping the trackpad will not wake up the keyboard.
