THINKOBD 500 Upgrade Instruction

Step 1: Download the Product Update Tool

Go to https://mythinkcar.com/pages/software-download and download the "Product Update Tool_24.9MB" to your desktop.

The THINKCAR website offers various software downloads, including:

Thinkcar Bay (51.6MB): A help service application for THINKCAR products, providing tutorials, case studies, after-sales service, user product management, and online viewing of diagnostic reports.
Product Update Tool (24.9MB): For upgrading software for THINKOBD 100/500, THINKTPMS T100, and THINKSCAN Series devices.

Step 2: Install the Product Update Tool

Open the downloaded program to install it. After installation, its name will change to "Product Update Tool".

Step 3: Connect and Launch the Tool

After installation, connect your THINKOBD 100/500 to your computer using a USB cable. Then, double-click the "Product Update Tool" icon on your desktop.

Step 4: Initiate Device Upgrade

The serial number should appear automatically, indicating a good connection. Click "Device Upgrade".

Note: If the serial number box is blank, please verify the following:

Ensure your computer system is compatible. The system requires Windows XP, 7, 8, or 10.
Try again on another PC with a different USB cable.

The "Update Tool" window will display options to select the language (default is English) and show the Product Serial Number.

Step 5: Start the Upgrade Process

Click "Upgrade" to begin the software update.

The tool will display software information, including Software Name (e.g., firmware_obd900, OBDEBI), Release Date, Latest Version, and Product Serial Number. The upgrade progress will also be shown.

Step 6: Monitor Upgrade Progress

The status will change to "Connected", indicating a good connection. Please wait for the upgrade process to complete.

Step 7: Finalize the Upgrade

Once the upgrade is finished, a "Upgrade success" window will pop up. Click "确定" (Confirm) to complete the process.
