Before First Use
Recommendations for Use
- Your vacuum cleaner is an electrical appliance and should be used under normal operating conditions.
- Check that your vacuum cleaner's voltage corresponds to your domestic power supply.
- Disconnect the appliance by unplugging it, without pulling the cord: immediately after use, before changing accessories, and before cleaning, maintenance, or changing the filter.
Important: The mains socket must be protected by a fuse of at least 16 Amps. If the circuit breaker trips during operation, it may be due to other high-power appliances being connected to the same circuit. This can be avoided by setting the appliance to a low power setting before turning it on, and then adjusting to a higher power.
- Unwind the power cord completely before each use.
- Do not jam it or allow it to rub against sharp edges.
- If using an extension cord, ensure it is in perfect condition and rated for your vacuum cleaner's power.
- Some vacuum cleaners have a motor overheating protection. In certain cases (e.g., use on chairs, sofas), this protection may trigger, causing an unusual but harmless noise.
- Check that all filters are correctly in place.
- Use only original Rowenta/Tefal/Moulinex accessories.
- If you have difficulty finding accessories or filters, contact Rowenta/Tefal/Moulinex Customer Service.
If your vacuum cleaner has a bag:
Do not operate the vacuum cleaner without a bag or filtration system (filter cassette*, filter*, foam*, microfilter*). Use only original Rowenta/Tefal/Moulinex bags and filters.
If your vacuum cleaner is bagless:
Do not operate the vacuum cleaner without the filtration system (filter cassette*, foam*, microfilter*, and filter*). Do not replace the foam and microfilter until they are completely dry. Use only original Rowenta/Tefal/Moulinex filters.
Eco-Design Instructions
This vacuum cleaner is for general use.
- To achieve eco-design performance on carpets, use the dual-position nozzle with the brush retracted (☐ / ☐).
- To achieve eco-design performance on hard floors with joints and grooves, use either:
- The nozzle for smooth floors with grooves* (a) without the removable brush.
- The dual-position nozzle* with the brush retracted (☐ / ☐).
The eco-design performance measurement methods are described in Directive 666/2013 of 8 July 2013.
For delicate smooth floors such as parquet, laminate, or tiles, it is recommended to use either:
- The nozzle for smooth floors with grooves* with the removable brush row (a+b).
- The dual-position nozzle* with the brush extended (☐ / ☐).

If the bag full indicator light is red:
- The bag is saturated: replace the bag or empty the textile bag*.
- If the indicator remains red after replacing the bag: the filtration system is saturated (refer to the supplementary manual).
