Quick Setup
- Prepare the TP-02, 24V power supply, passive or active subwoofer, and speaker wires or banana plugs.
- Connect the TP-02 to the passive subwoofer using bare wire or banana plugs.
- Connect the 24V power supply to the DC Input port on the TP-02.
- Toggle the power switch on the front panel upwards to turn on the TP-02 amplifier.
Note 1: Before connecting the power supply, ensure the TP-02's power switch is in the "down" (off) position to prevent a "POP" sound from the subwoofer.
Note 2: Before connecting the power supply, turn the volume control to 0 (rotate counterclockwise) to protect your hearing.
How to Connect Speaker Wire
Method 1: Bare Wire Connection
- Release the horn terminals block terminals.
- Insert the two ends of the speaker wire into the amplifier and speaker terminal holes.
- Tighten the horn terminals.
Note 1: Please ensure the speaker's wire is not attached to the chassis.
Note 2: Due to the small space, ensure positive and negative poles do not come into contact.
[Diagram Description: Three illustrations show the process of connecting bare speaker wire to a terminal. The first shows the terminal open, the second shows the wire inserted, and the third shows the terminal tightened.]
Method 2: Banana Plugs Connection
- Release the banana jacket.
- Loosen the screw on the banana plug.
- Insert the speaker wire into the banana plug and tighten the screw.
- Tighten the banana jacket.
- Insert the banana plug into the horn terminals of the speaker and amplifier.
Note: Take care to avoid contact between the two banana plugs, as some are metal-cased and could cause a short circuit.

Troubleshooting & QA
1: The power supply indicator is not illuminated.
- Make sure that the AC power cord is securely connected to the power supply and to an AC power outlet.
- Check whether the power LED on the power supply stays on. If not, the power supply may be broken.
- If you confirm the power supply is defective, please contact Fosi Audio for exchange.
2: Which type of speakers works best with the TP-02 Amplifier?
- Fosi Audio TP-02 works well with most 2-8Ω subwoofers.
3: Why does the TP-02 make serious noise when used together with a radio?
- A common feature of Class D power amplifiers is that they can cause serious noise when used with a radio. It is recommended not to use the TP-02 too close to a radio.
4: Why there is no voice from my amplifier?
- Please make sure that the AC outlet is on and working.
- Verify that the amplifier and your connected devices are turned on.
- Recheck speaker wire connections from the amplifier to the speaker.
- Ensure the cable from the power supply is connected to the amplifier and check if the power LED on the power supply stays on. If not, the power supply is broken.
- Make sure that the volume/power knob on the front panel is turned on and not set to the minimum volume.
- Please ensure that your connected devices (e.g., iPad, computer) are turned on and not set to the minimum volume. Try connecting a different device if possible. If the issue persists, it may be with the amplifier.
- Please ensure that the audio cables from your devices are working and properly connected. Try using new cables. If the issue persists, it may be with the amplifier.
5: Why does the sound crack or make a lot of electric noise?
- When you touch the volume knob or the amplifier case, a buzzing sound may occur. This is normal as the amplifier case and volume knob are made of aluminum. The buzzing sound will disappear when you move your hand away.
- Please ensure all cables are completely pushed into the devices; an incomplete connection can cause cracking.
- Unplug all signal input cables and check if the cracking noise disappears. If it does, the issue is with the input source or cables. If not, the crack is from the amplifier.
- If you are not using the original factory standard power supply, please replace it with the original one before testing. Many aftermarket power supplies have high interference coefficients that can cause noise.
6: Why is there an interference sound after connecting the signal line?
- If you use unshielded signal lines, interference signals may enter the power amplifier. It is advised to use shielded signal lines or unplug the signal lines if you dislike the sound.
7: Why does the amplifier stop working after a period and then work again?
- The amplifier may be in overheat protection mode. The output power might have exceeded the designed range. Try lowering the volume slightly and test again.
8: How much power does this product use in standby mode? Can this amplifier be left on all the time?
- The stable rated output is about 180 watts. This is a Class D amplifier, which consumes some power in standby mode and has a stable rated output of about 150 watts.
9: When the volume adjustment on the amplifier stays the same, why is the speaker's output volume different while different devices are used (such as CDs and mobile phones)?
- The output voltage of different types of audio sources varies. For example, a mobile phone might output 0.35mV, while a CD player might output 1V. The signal output amplitude of the source devices directly influences the volume.
10: Why the sound of the power amplifier is not so good at the beginning and for the high frequency it is also not clear, but after working for 10 hours the sound is normal again?
- Speakers and amplifiers are very sensitive equipment and need time to match with each other. Usually, the sound quality improves after the new power amplifier and speaker have worked together for more than 10 hours.
11: Why the sound quality is not so good?
- Turn down the volume of the input device and turn up the volume of the amplifier.
- Please ensure that your subwoofer is passive, not active.
- Unplug the RCA input and connect this amplifier to a subwoofer. Then connect the amplifier to the power supply, switch it on, and turn up the volume. Listen for any remaining noise or hum. If noise persists, the issue may be with the amplifier or subwoofer. If not, the issue may be with your RCA cable or source device; try exchanging them.
- Please ensure all cables are completely pushed into the device; incomplete connections can create distortion.
- Make sure your TP-02 amplifier has enough power to drive your subwoofer. Check the subwoofer's parameters to ensure compatibility with the TP-02. If more power is needed, consider using a more powerful power supply such as 24V 8A or 24V 10A.
12: How can the power which goes into the unit be 24v, 4.5a, 108 watts while the power of the unit are 220 watts?
- 220 watts is the 'Peak' output. The power supply can only provide a maximum of 108 watts continuously. The capacitor can provide a temporary peak boost to 220 watts for a very brief period (milliseconds). To achieve 220W power consistently, a 24V 8A or 24V 10A power adapter is recommended.
13: What are the true RMS wattage specifications for this device, when the power is 2Ω, 4Ω?
- 220 watts is the MAX power output. Its RMS power output is RMS 150 watts @ 4Ω, and RMS 120 watts @ 8Ω with a 24V 4.5A power supply. To get more power, you can upgrade the power supply to a 24V 8A.
14: Why does the sound cut in or out?
- Try reducing the volume of your source device.
- Ensure that the positive and negative poles of the speaker output do not touch each other. Some large banana plugs can easily touch and cause a short circuit.
- Try exchanging your audio source to test. If the problem persists, there may be issues with the amplifier.
15: Low Volume.
- Recheck the volume on your source device and turn up the volume of the amplifier. Ensure it isn't set to minimum.
- Please check if your device requires a pre-amp.
- If you are using a turntable, ensure it has a built-in phono preamp or use an external one, as some turntables require it.
16: Can I use the TP-02 in other countries?
- Yes, the wide voltage AC 110-240V power input can be used in any country. You will only need to match the power cord adapter with the power supply in that country.
