Important Safety Information

Please read this safety information carefully before using the product.

Handling

• Disconnect all cables before moving the Smart Display.
• Two or more people are required to safely move large Smart Displays. Avoid applying pressure to the LED panel during movement. Do not shake or expose the Smart Display to excessive vibration.
• When moving the Smart Display to a new location or for servicing, package it using the original box and packaging materials.

Ventilation

• Do not block ventilation openings or insert objects into the casing.
• Ensure adequate ventilation space around the Smart Display.

Wall Mounting

• For proper ventilation and to prevent dust accumulation, do not mount the Smart Display horizontally, upside down, or in reverse. Do not mount it by its sides.
• Do not place the Smart Display on shelves, carpets, beds, or in wardrobes.
• Do not cover the Smart Display with fabrics (like curtains) or other materials (like newspapers).
• Forward leaning suspension is prohibited.

AC Power Cord

• Use the AC power cord and socket according to the following instructions to prevent fire, electric shock, damage, or personal injury:
• Insert the plug fully into the AC socket.
• Use the Smart Display with a 100-240V AC power supply.
• For safety, disconnect the AC power cord when connecting cables. Be careful not to trip over the cord.
• Disconnect the AC power cord from the AC power outlet before performing any operations or moving the Smart Display.
• Keep the AC power cord away from high temperatures.
• Periodically unplug and clean the AC power cord. If the plug is covered with dust and moisture, its insulation quality may deteriorate, posing a fire risk.
• Avoid excessive twisting, bending, modification, or kinking of the AC power cord, as this may expose or break the wires.
• Do not place heavy objects on the AC power cord.
• Do not pull the AC power cord to unplug it.
• Do not connect too many devices to the same AC power outlet.
• Do not use an incompatible AC power outlet.

Children

• Keep small parts out of reach of children to prevent them from swallowing the parts.

Optional Items

• Keep optional accessories or devices that emit electromagnetic radiation away from the Smart Display to avoid image distortion or noise.

In Case of the Following Problems

• Damaged AC power cord.
• Incompatible AC power outlet.
• Smart Display damaged due to dropping or impact.
• Liquid or solid objects entering the casing through the outlet.

Turn off the Smart Display, unplug the AC power cord immediately, and contact a Xiaomi service center for inspection by qualified service personnel.

Stability Hazard

The Smart Display can tip over, causing serious personal injury or death. Simple precautions can prevent many injuries, especially to children:

• Always use cabinets or stands recommended by the manufacturer.
• Always use furniture that can safely support the Smart Display.
• Always ensure the Smart Display does not overhang the edge of the supporting furniture.
• Always educate children about the dangers of climbing furniture to reach the Smart Display or its controls.
• Always route cords and cables connected to the Smart Display so they are not tripped over, pulled, or grabbed.
• Never place the Smart Display in an unstable location.
• Never place the Smart Display on top of tall furniture (e.g., a cabinet or bookcase) unless both the furniture and the Smart Display are properly secured to an adequate support.
• Never place the Smart Display on furniture that is covered by a cloth or other material that might be placed between the Smart Display and the supporting furniture.
• Never place items that might entice children to climb on the furniture, such as toys and remote controls, on top of the Smart Display or the furniture on which the Smart Display is placed.

If an existing television needs to be retained and relocated, the same precautions should be considered.

Usage Restrictions

Do not install or use the Smart Display in the following locations, environments, or situations to avoid fire, electric shock, damage, or personal injury due to Smart Display malfunction:

• Locations: Outdoors (in direct sunlight), seaside, inside ships or other vessels, inside vehicles, inside medical institutions, unstable locations, near water, or locations exposed to rain, moisture, or mold. If the Smart Display is placed in a changing room of a public bathhouse or hot spring facility, sulfides in the air may damage the Smart Display.
• Environments: Hot, humid, or dusty locations; locations accessible to insects; locations exposed to mechanical shock; near combustibles (like candles). The Smart Display should not be exposed to dripping or splashing water, nor should any objects containing liquids (like vases) be placed on the Smart Display. Do not place the Smart Display in humid or dusty locations, or in rooms with steam or smoke (near stoves or humidifiers), as this may cause fire, electric shock, or deformation. Do not boil water, heat, cook noodles, or use mosquito coils near the Smart Display.
• Situations: Do not use the Smart Display with wet hands, when the casing is open, or with accessories not authorized by the manufacturer. In case of thunderstorms, unplug the AC power cord and disconnect the Smart Display from the AC outlet. Do not install the Smart Display outdoors. Failure to comply with these precautions may result in personal injury or damage, or objects striking the Smart Display.

Damage to the Xiaomi Smart Display Screen

Do not throw any objects at the Smart Display, as the screen may break due to impact, causing serious injury. If the Smart Display surface is damaged, do not touch the Smart Display before unplugging the AC power cord to avoid electric shock.

Operating Environment Conditions

• Operating Temperature: 0℃-40℃
• Storage Temperature: -15℃-40℃
• Relative Humidity: <80%

Precautions

• Watch the Smart Display under appropriate lighting conditions. Watching the Smart Display in insufficient lighting or for extended periods may harm your eyesight.
• The screen and casing will heat up when the Smart Display is operating. This is normal.
• DTS-CD bitstream decoding via HDMI IN is not supported.
• Excessive use may harm eyesight. Rest for 10 minutes after every 30 minutes of use. Children under 2 years old should not watch the screen, and children over 2 years old should not exceed 1 hour of screen time per day.

Cleaning the Xiaomi Smart Display Screen/Casing

Before cleaning the Smart Display, ensure the AC power cord is unplugged from the AC power outlet. To prevent deterioration of casing materials or corrosion of the screen coating, please adhere to the following precautions:

• Wipe any dust from the screen/casing surface with a soft cloth. If dust remains, wipe with a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent.
• Do not spray water or detergent directly onto the Smart Display. Sprayed liquid may drip to the bottom of the screen or external parts, causing malfunction.
• Do not use scouring pads, alkaline/acidic cleaners, scouring powder, or volatile liquids such as alcohol, essential oils, thinners, or insecticides. Using these substances or prolonged contact with rubber or vinyl products may damage the screen surface and casing materials. It is recommended to regularly clean the ventilation holes to ensure good product ventilation.
• When adjusting the angle of the Smart Display, move it slowly to prevent it from shifting or sliding off the base.

Disposal of this Product

To promote effective resource utilization through recycling, please return this product to a nearby authorized recycling center, registered dismantler, or recycler when discarding it.

Meaning of the wheeled bin symbol: This symbol serves as a reminder not to dispose of electronic waste in municipal waste bins. This is because such waste is harmful to nature and must be recycled using special methods.

How to dispose of this product: Take it to the nearest recycling facility, or contact a recycling facility near your home by phone to arrange for pickup at a designated location. For information on recycling facilities near your home, please call the recycling hotline: 0800-0857171 or visit the website: http://recycle.epa.gov.tw/. Instructions for handling the product during and after use, as well as precautions and prohibitions related to handling the product.

Do's:

• a. Always consult the catalog for end-of-life handling methods applicable to your product.
• b. Ensure your electronic products are serviced and handled only by authorized recyclers.
• c. Always contact an authorized electronic waste recycler to dispose of end-of-life products.
• d. When your used electronic products, batteries, or any accessories reach the end of their life, always take them to the nearest authorized electronic waste collection center/station.
• e. Where possible, or as instructed, separate packaging materials according to corresponding waste disposal options and classifications for recycling.

Don'ts:

• a. Do not disassemble electronic products yourself.
• b. Do not dispose of electronic products in trash bins marked with a "Do not discard" symbol.
• c. Do not hand over electronic waste to informal or unorganized entities such as local waste handlers/scavengers.

Installation

• The television should be installed near an AC power outlet that is easily accessible for plugging and unplugging.
• Place the television on a stable surface to prevent it from falling, which could cause personal injury or damage to the television.
• If you need to install a TV wall mount bracket, it is recommended to purchase a wall mount bracket specifically for Xiaomi or Redmi TVs. When installing the wall mount bracket, be sure to use screws to secure the bracket to the back of the TV. For details, please consult the Xiaomi service hotline.
• The diameter and length of the screws vary depending on the wall mount bracket model. Failure to use the dedicated fixing screws may cause the TV to fall or suffer internal damage.
• Do not install the TV horizontally, with the top facing down, backward, or sideways.
• The bolts used to secure the TV and the wall mount bracket must meet the following requirements:
• L43MA-STWN Quantity: 4, Thread: M6, Length: 10mm.
• L55MA-STWN Quantity: 4, Thread: M6, Length: 25mm (2pcs); 18mm (2pcs).
• L55MA-ATWN Quantity: 4, Thread: M6, Length: 25mm (2pcs); 18mm (2pcs).

Specifications

Warranty Statement

Xiaomi warrants that its products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for the warranty period. Unless otherwise provided by applicable law, the warranty will continue as provided in the table below. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Xiaomi does not exclude, limit, or suspend the minimum statutory warranty period mandated by applicable law.

Xiaomi does not guarantee that the product's operation will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Exclusions and Limitations

Unless otherwise stipulated by Xiaomi, this limited warranty applies only to products manufactured by or for Xiaomi, identifiable by the "Xiaomi" or "Mi" trademark, trade name, or logo affixed to them.

The limited warranty does not apply to the following situations:

1. Incomplete/incompatible warranty card. Series and model numbers.
2. Failure to provide the original warranty card or proof of purchase when servicing the device.
3. Discontinued, modified, or scratched series, model, or product numbers.
4. Damage caused by user negligence and/or failure to follow usage instructions.
5. Damage due to negligence includes, but is not limited to, drops, contact with liquids, improper use, voltage issues, cracking due to pressure, improper storage, scratches, rust, stains, mold, or external damage from normal use.
6. Damage caused by force majeure, including but not limited to natural disasters and/or riots.
7. Replacement of spare parts with non-genuine parts by users designated by Xiaomi, and opening and/or servicing by non-Xiaomi technical personnel.
8. User-modified software or hardware.
9. Exceeding the warranty period.

Implied Warranties

Except as prohibited by applicable law, all implied warranties (including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose) are limited to the duration of this limited warranty. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on the duration of implied warranties, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

Limitation of Damages

Except as prohibited by applicable law, even if Xiaomi has been advised of the possibility of the following types of damages, Xiaomi shall not be liable under any legal theory for any incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, or data resulting from breach of express or implied warranty or terms. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

Initial Setup

When powering on for the first time, follow the on-screen instructions for initial setup.

1. Remote Pairing: Point the remote towards the TV and hold the (Google TV Home) and (Settings) buttons simultaneously for over 4 seconds when the remote is within approximately 20cm of the front of the TV.
2. Display Language Setting: Use the remote's directional keys to highlight the desired language and press the "OK" button to set.
3. Region Setting: Use the remote's directional keys to navigate to [Japan] and press the "OK" key to set.
4. Google TV Setup: Set whether to use Google TV. A Google account is required to use Google TV.

Network Setup

To connect the TV to the internet, you need an internet connection environment. Contact your network provider or ISP for details.

Connecting via Network Cable

1. Connect the LAN port (Network) on the back of the product to a router connected to the network using a LAN cable.
2. Turn on [Ethernet] in [Network & Internet] → [Ethernet] via the remote's ★ (Settings) button (or by selecting it from the Home screen). Ethernet is a communication standard for connecting devices like computers and game consoles to the internet using cables.

Setting up Wireless LAN

1. Turn on [Wi-Fi] in [Network & Internet] → [Wi-Fi] via the remote's (Settings) button (or by selecting it from the Home screen).
2. Select the SSID to connect to and enter the encryption key (password) to connect. Ensure you have your home wireless LAN router's SSID and encryption key (password) beforehand.

Terms Confirmation/Agreement

Follow the on-screen instructions to review the terms of use and select "Agree" → [OK].

Installation

• Install the TV near an AC power outlet that is easily accessible for plugging and unplugging.
• Place the TV on a stable, flat surface to prevent it from falling and causing injury or damage.
• When mounting the TV on a wall, it is recommended to purchase a wall mount rack specifically for Xiaomi or Redmi TVs. When installing the wall mount rack, be sure to screw it to the back of the TV. For details, please contact the Xiaomi customer service center.
• The diameter and height of the screws vary depending on the model of the wall mount bracket. Failure to use the dedicated fixing screws may cause the TV to fall or suffer internal damage.
• Do not install the TV flat, upside down, backward, or sideways.
• Bolts used to secure the TV and the wall mount bracket must meet the following requirements:
• L43MA-STWN Quantity: 4, Screw Diameter: M6, Height: 10mm.
• L55MA-STWN Quantity: 4, Screw Diameter: M6, Height: 25mm (2pcs); 18mm (2pcs).

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues during use, please review this manual and check the following points before requesting service.

No Power

• Is the power plug securely connected to the outlet?

Remote Control Not Working

• Are the remote control batteries inserted with the correct polarity (④日)?
• Are the remote control batteries depleted? (Replace if depleted)
• Are you operating the remote control pointing towards the TV?
• Is direct sunlight or strong lighting shining on the TV?

No Picture or Sound

• Are the power plug, antenna cable, and external connection devices securely connected?
• Are the TV and external devices powered on?
• Is the volume set to "Minimum" or "Mute"?
• Are headphones connected?

Not Abnormal

• Points of light or dark spots on the LCD panel: The LCD panel may have a few defective pixels or constantly lit pixels. This is normal.
• "Click" sound from the inside: Sounds may be heard during standby operations like program information acquisition.
• "Crackle" sound from the TV body: This may occur due to the expansion and contraction of the cabinet with room temperature changes. If there are no abnormalities in the picture or sound, it is not a problem.

If the issue persists, please contact your retailer or the Xiaomi Japan Customer Service Center.

System Updates

To enhance your experience, system updates may be available. When a system update is ready, a system update screen will appear upon powering on. Confirming the update will refresh the system software to the latest version.

Care and Maintenance

Wipe with a dry cloth. If heavily soiled, use a cloth dampened with water, wring it out thoroughly, and then wipe dry.

Important: Before cleaning, always turn off the product and connected devices, and unplug the power cord from the outlet.

• Do not use benzine or thinner. Use chemical cloths according to their instructions.
• Do not spray insecticides or volatile substances.
• Avoid prolonged contact with rubber, adhesive tape, or vinyl products.
• To protect the LCD panel, do not apply hard or sharp objects, or press or rub it forcefully. This can cause scratches and discoloration.
• Do not use the product with liquid, such as condensation, on the surface of the LCD panel. This can cause uneven color or discoloration.

Safety Hazard

The TV may tip over, causing serious injury or death. Simple preventive measures can prevent many accidents, especially those involving children:

• Use cabinets and stands recommended by the TV manufacturer.
• Use furniture that can safely support the TV.
• Ensure the TV does not overhang the edge of the supporting furniture.
• Educate children not to climb on furniture to reach the TV or its controls.
• Secure all cables connected to the TV to prevent tripping, pulling, or grabbing.
• Never place the TV in an unstable position.
• Do not place the TV on tall furniture (e.g., cabinets or bookcases) unless both the furniture and TV are secured to an adequate support.
• Do not place the TV on any fabric or other material placed between the TV and the supporting furniture.
• Do not place items that might entice children to climb, such as toys and remote controls, on top of the TV or the furniture it is placed on.

About the Product

About the Display Panel

• The LCD panel may have some defects (dark spots) or bright spots (excessively lit spots). This is not a malfunction.
• Due to the characteristics of LCDs, images may appear blurry or motion may not seem smooth in low room temperatures, but this is not a malfunction.
• The LCD panel displays images by emitting light from the backlight, which has a limited lifespan. If the image becomes dimmer with normal use, please consult the Xiaomi Japan Customer Service Center.

About the Product's Temperature

• The product's temperature may rise during prolonged use, but this is not a malfunction. Do not place objects that can be easily deformed by heat on top of it.
• It is normal for the LCD panel to become warm when using the TV.

Transportation and Installation

• Do not transport the product horizontally, as this can cause malfunction or damage to the LCD panel.
• When installing in poorly ventilated areas such as bookshelves, leave a space of at least 10cm between the unit and its surroundings.

Disposal

• As of April 2024, this product is not subject to the Home Appliance Recycling Law. If new laws or regulations are established in the future, they must be followed. Until then, please dispose of the product in accordance with your local municipal ordinances or regulations.
• When discarding the product, please check your local municipality's website for disposal methods.
• Before disposing of the product, please initialize it (erase all data) to its factory settings.
• Initialization Method: Remote control (Settings) → [Device Settings] → [Device Information] → [Factory Reset].
• If you have subscribed to paid broadcasts or network services, this information will not be erased by the above method. Please contact the contracted broadcasting station.

Carrying

• When moving the product, disconnect all cables and the power plug from the outlet.
• Large TVs are heavy, so always have two or more people unpack, carry, and install the product. Avoid impacts during transport. Dropping or damage can cause malfunctions. Do not press on the LCD panel or hold it in a way that applies strong force.
• When transporting the product for repair or relocation, protect the LCD panel from scratches with a soft blanket and ensure it is not tilted or placed sideways.

Mounting

• When mounting the TV on a wall, it is recommended to use a dedicated wall mount unit. For details, please contact the Xiaomi Japan Customer Service Center.
• Using incorrect screws may cause the wall mount unit to loosen or detach, leading to injury or damage.
• Do not install the product upside down, backward, or sideways.
• When mounting on a wall or stand, the tilt angle of the TV (the angle between the TV body and the vertical plane) should be within 5 degrees.

Usage Precautions

• Watch TV in an environment with appropriate brightness. Watching in dim light or for extended periods may impair vision.
• Do not install or use the TV in the following locations, environments, or situations, as malfunctions may cause fire, electric shock, damage, or other losses.
• Locations: Avoid places with direct sunlight, vehicles (ferries, ships, cars), medical equipment, unstable locations (near water, rain, high humidity, smoke). Also, placing the TV in the changing room of a public bath or hot spring may cause damage due to sulfides in the air.
• Usage Environment: Avoid harsh environments such as high temperature, high humidity, dust, oil smoke, direct sunlight (kitchens or near humidifiers), places prone to insect entry, places with vibration, or near combustibles (like candles). Avoid contact with liquids such as water (drinking water, sweat, seawater, pet urine, etc.). Do not place objects containing liquids, such as vases, on the TV. Do not place the TV in humid or dusty locations, or in rooms with oil smoke or steam (near kitchens or humidifiers). This can cause fire, electric shock, or deformation.
• Operating temperature is 0℃-40℃, operating humidity is 20%-80%, storage temperature is -15℃-45℃, and storage humidity is less than 80%.
• Usage Conditions: Do not use the TV with wet hands. In case of lightning, disconnect the power plug from the outlet. Do not install the TV outdoors. This may cause personal injury, damage, or objects to strike the TV.

TV LCD Panel

• Do not strike the surface of the LCD panel with objects. The glass may break, and scattered glass can cause injury.
• If the product's surface is cracked, do not touch the product until the power plug is removed from the outlet. Touching the product without unplugging the power cord can cause electric shock.

About Wireless LAN/Bluetooth® Usage

This product and its remote control are wireless devices subject to Japan's Radio Law. Modification or disassembly may result in legal penalties. Do not use the 5GHz band W52 and W53 for outdoor communication. Using W52 and W53 wireless devices in the 5GHz band outdoors is prohibited by law (except when communicating with base stations or relay stations of 5.2GHz band high-power data communication systems). When using the product's wireless LAN outdoors, use the 5GHz band W56 or the 2.4GHz band.

The frequency bands used by the product's wireless LAN and Bluetooth are the 2.4GHz/5GHz bands and the 2.4GHz band, respectively. Other wireless devices may use the same frequencies. When using the built-in wireless LAN or the Bluetooth function of the product and its remote control, please observe the following precautions to avoid radio interference with other wireless devices:

• Wireless LAN: Modulation method DSSS and OFDM. Uses 2.4GHz band. Interference distance: within 40m.
• Bluetooth® Function: Modulation method FH-SS and other methods. Uses 2.4GHz band. Interference distance: within 20m.

In the frequency bands used by this product, industrial, scientific, and medical equipment such as microwave ovens, as well as indoor radio stations for mobile object identification (licensed radio stations) and low-power radio stations (unlicensed radio stations) used in factory production lines, and amateur radio stations (licensed radio stations) are in operation. Before using this product, confirm that indoor radio stations for mobile object identification, low-power radio stations, and amateur radio stations are not operating nearby. If harmful radio interference occurs from this product to indoor radio stations for mobile object identification, promptly change the operating frequency or stop transmitting radio waves, and contact the Xiaomi Japan Customer Service Center (listed on the back cover) to discuss interference avoidance measures (e.g., installing partitions). If any other problems occur, such as harmful radio interference from this product to low-power radio stations for mobile object identification or amateur radio stations, please contact the Xiaomi Japan Customer Service Center.

The wireless LAN of this product supports the following standards. Please use a wireless LAN access point that also supports these standards.

• IEEE802.11/b/g/n (2.4GHz CH1-13)
• IEEE802.11 a/n/ac (W52/W53/W56)
• Note: J52 wireless standards are not supported.

Impact of Wireless LAN Performance and Environmental Conditions: Wireless LAN data transfer speeds are affected by communication distance, obstacles, environmental conditions, radio environment factors such as microwave ovens, and network usage. While the product complies with IEEE802.11a/b/g/n/ac standards, connection and communication with all wireless LAN devices are not guaranteed. If using a wireless LAN that supports the 5GHz band, using the 5GHz band is recommended. If the wireless LAN router is placed close to the product, it may not appear in the list of access points, the signal strength may appear weak, or connection may fail. In such cases, use the product and the wireless LAN router at a distance from each other. This product cannot be directly connected to the communication lines of telecommunications carriers (mobile carriers, fixed-line carriers, internet providers, etc.), including public wireless LAN. When connecting this product to the internet, always connect through a router or similar device.
