Important Safety Information

Mexico Notice: Operation of this equipment is subject to the following two conditions: (1) it is possible that this equipment or device may not cause harmful interference and (2) this equipment or device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

General Safety:

Recommended Measures to Secure the TV:

  1. Secure the Stand for the TV: Ensure the Stand can adequately support the TV's weight. Use two angle braces (not supplied) to secure the Stand to a wall stud and the Stand.
  2. Secure the TV to the Stand: Use M6 machine screws (not supplied) to attach the Stand to the TV's rear cover. Use rope or chain (not supplied) strong enough to support the TV's weight, ensuring no excess slack.
  3. Anchor the TV to the wall: Use bolts, wall anchors, and chain (or rope) (not supplied) to anchor the TV to the wall.

Preventing the TV from Toppling:

Remote Control

Model: RMF-TX920U

Features:

Note: The remote control's shape, layout, availability, and function of buttons may vary depending on your region, country, TV model, or TV settings. The remote control backlight illuminates in low ambient light and can be turned off. It is rechargeable via USB Type-C cable. A buzzer sounds for the remote control finder function or when the battery is low.

Installing the TV to the Wall

Using Optional Wall-Mount Brackets:

Sony recommends using compatible Sony Wall-Mount Brackets (e.g., SU-WL855) for secure installation. Using other brackets may cause instability and result in damage or injury.

Preparation:

Steps for Wall-Mount Bracket Installation:

  1. Remove stand covers and terminal covers from the TV.
  2. Remove the two upper screws from the rear of the TV that are pre-fastened for wall mounting.
  3. Attach the Wall-Mount Bracket (not supplied) using appropriate screws (not supplied). If using an electric screwdriver, set torque to approximately 1.5 N-m {15 kgf-cm}.

Detaching the Table-Top Stand:

Remove the screws to detach the Table-Top Stand. Be careful when lifting the TV as the detached stand may topple. Avoid removing the stand unless installing accessories.

Troubleshooting

General Issues (Black Screen, No Sound, Frozen Picture, Unresponsive TV, Network Loss):

  1. Restart TV: Press and hold the power button on the remote for about five seconds. If the issue persists, unplug the AC power cord, press the TV's power button, wait two minutes, and plug it back in. Alternatively, press and hold the TV's power button for about 40 seconds until it turns off.
  2. Check Help Menu: Refer to the on-screen Help menu by pressing the Input button on the remote and selecting [Help].
  3. Software Update: Connect the TV to the internet and perform a software update for new features and improvements.
  4. Factory Data Reset: Reset the TV to factory settings via the [Factory data reset] option in the menu. For a forced reset, unplug the AC power cord, press and hold the TV's power button, then plug in the AC power cord.

Remote Control Not Functioning:

Forgotten Parental Lock Password:

Note: When plugging in the TV for the first time, it may take a moment to initialize. Wait about one minute before operating.

WARNING: Factory reset will clear all customized settings, including parental lock. Before discarding or selling the TV, remove all personal information by unlinking/unregistering services, signing out, and performing a factory reset.
