Important Safety Information
Mexico Notice: Operation of this equipment is subject to the following two conditions: (1) it is possible that this equipment or device may not cause harmful interference and (2) this equipment or device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
General Safety:
- Install the TV so that the Table-Top Stand does not protrude out from the Stand (not supplied). If it protrudes, it may cause the TV to topple over, leading to personal injury or damage.
- Route all AC power cords and connecting cables so they are not accessible to children.
Recommended Measures to Secure the TV:
- Secure the Stand for the TV: Ensure the Stand can adequately support the TV's weight. Use two angle braces (not supplied) to secure the Stand to a wall stud and the Stand.
- Secure the TV to the Stand: Use M6 machine screws (not supplied) to attach the Stand to the TV's rear cover. Use rope or chain (not supplied) strong enough to support the TV's weight, ensuring no excess slack.
- Anchor the TV to the wall: Use bolts, wall anchors, and chain (or rope) (not supplied) to anchor the TV to the wall.
Preventing the TV from Toppling:
- Secure the TV to a wall and/or Stand.
- Do not allow children to play or climb on furniture and TV sets.
- Avoid placing or hanging items on the TV.

Installing the TV to the Wall
Using Optional Wall-Mount Brackets:
Sony recommends using compatible Sony Wall-Mount Brackets (e.g., SU-WL855) for secure installation. Using other brackets may cause instability and result in damage or injury.
Preparation:
- Some models are packaged with a detached Table-Top Stand for immediate wall mounting.
- If mounting to a wall, follow the specific instructions provided with your Wall-Mount Bracket. Professional installation by qualified personnel is strongly recommended due to the expertise required for wall strength assessment.
- Ensure sufficient expertise is available for installation, particularly regarding the wall's ability to support the TV's weight. Sony is not liable for damage or injury from mishandling or improper installation.
- Store unused screws and the Table-Top Stand safely, keeping screws away from small children.
Steps for Wall-Mount Bracket Installation:
- Remove stand covers and terminal covers from the TV.
- Remove the two upper screws from the rear of the TV that are pre-fastened for wall mounting.
- Attach the Wall-Mount Bracket (not supplied) using appropriate screws (not supplied). If using an electric screwdriver, set torque to approximately 1.5 N-m {15 kgf-cm}.
Detaching the Table-Top Stand:
Remove the screws to detach the Table-Top Stand. Be careful when lifting the TV as the detached stand may topple. Avoid removing the stand unless installing accessories.
