This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation and use of CIARRA induction hobs, models CBBIH4B, CBBIH4BF, and CBBIH4BFF.
Safety Instructions
General Safety:
- This appliance is designed for domestic use only.
- Ensure the appliance is correctly installed and grounded by a qualified electrician.
- Keep the appliance away from flammable materials.
- Do not operate the appliance with wet hands or bare feet.
- Avoid touching hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- Keep children away from the appliance during operation.
- In case of malfunction, disconnect the power supply immediately.
Electrical Safety:
- The appliance must be connected to a properly grounded electrical system.
- Ensure the voltage and power supply match the appliance's specifications.
- Do not use adapters, reducers, or extension cords.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified electrician.
Installation Safety:
- The hob must be installed on a stable, level surface.
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the hob.
- Keep the installation area clean and free of obstructions.
- Follow all local electrical codes and regulations.
Operational Safety:
- Do not leave the appliance unattended while cooking.
- Be cautious when heating oils and fats, as they can ignite spontaneously.
- Do not place metallic objects on the cooking surface.
- Use only cookware suitable for induction cooking.
- Keep the control panel clean and dry.
Child Lock:
- The control panel can be locked to prevent accidental operation.
- To lock, press and hold the child lock button for at least 3 seconds. The display will show "Lo".
- To unlock, press and hold the child lock button for at least 3 seconds while the burner is on.
Residual Heat Indicator:
- A "H" will appear on the display when a cooking zone is still hot after use.
Automatic Shut-off:
- The hob will automatically shut off after a set period of inactivity to prevent overheating.
Product Description
The CIARRA induction hob features four cooking zones with various power levels and boost functions. The control panel includes touch controls for power adjustment, timer, zone selection, child lock, and power boost.

Installation
Important Precautions:
- Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician.
- Ensure the hob is properly ventilated.
- The worktop must be heat-resistant and level.
- Adhesives and surrounding surfaces must withstand temperatures up to 100°C.
- If the hob is installed above a drawer or cabinet, a thermal barrier must be installed below the hob.
- Do not install the hob in refrigeration units, dishwashers, or tumble dryers.
Worktop Cut-out:
- Cut the worktop according to the dimensions provided in the manual.
- Ensure the worktop thickness is at least 30 mm and made of heat-resistant material.
- Maintain a minimum safety distance of 3 mm between the burner edges and the worktop.
- Allow a minimum space of 5 cm around the cut-out for installation and use.
Ventilation and Safety Distances:
- Ensure adequate ventilation for the burner and that air intake/exhaust ports are not blocked.
- Maintain a safety distance of at least 760 mm between the hob and any overhead extractor hood or cabinet.
- If installed above an oven, the oven must have its own fan.
- Maintain a safety distance of at least 50 mm between the bottom of the hob and the oven.
Fixing the Hob:
- Place the hob on a stable surface.
- Attach the 4 mounting brackets to the bottom of the hob.
- If the opening is larger than 565*495 mm, install the mounting bracket.
Heat Protection Installation:
- If the hob is installed above a drawer or cabinet, install a heat-resistant protective plate at least 50 mm below the hob.
- Ensure any adhesives used are rated for 100°C.
Electrical Connection:
- Ensure the identification plate voltage matches your power supply.
- Connection must be made by a qualified electrician according to relevant standards.
- Use a single-pole circuit breaker.
- Do not use adapters, reducers, or junction devices, as they can cause overheating and fire.
- The power cable must not be twisted or pinched.
- The power cable must not touch any hot surfaces and its location should ensure its temperature does not exceed 75°C.
- The installer must use an H05GG-F type power cable.
Operation
Starting Cooking:
- Press the ON/OFF button for 3 seconds to turn on the hob.
- Place suitable cookware in the center of the desired cooking zone(s).
- Ensure the hob surface and cookware base are clean and dry.
- Select the desired cooking zone by touching the zone selection button. The indicator will flash.
- Adjust the heating level from 1 to 9 by sliding your finger on the control or touching the desired intensity level.
- If no power setting is selected within 1 minute, the hob will automatically turn off.
- Power can be changed at any time by selecting the zone and using the slider.
- Pressing the [0] button for more than 2 seconds will turn off the corresponding cooking zone.
Stopping Cooking:
- To turn off a cooking zone, press and hold the [0] button for more than 2 seconds.
- To turn off the entire hob, press the ON/OFF button.
Power Boost Function:
- This function maximizes the power of a cooking zone for 5 minutes.
- To activate, select the zone and press the power boost button (B). The display will show "P".
- After 5 minutes, the boost function will automatically stop, and the zone will return to power level 9.
- To cancel the boost function, press the power boost button (B) again or use the slider.
- Network power restriction applies to certain groups of zones.
Flexible Zone Function:
- The front and rear zones on the left and right can be combined to form a flexible zone.
- This allows for larger cookware to be used.
- Cookware should be placed in the center of the flexible zone for even heating.
- The flexible zone can be operated as one large zone or two independent zones.
Timer Function:
- Select the desired cooking zone and press the Timer button.
- Adjust the time using the slider control.
- The timer will automatically confirm after 3 seconds of inactivity.
- The countdown will begin, and the remaining time will be displayed.
- When the set time expires, the cooking zone will automatically turn off.
- To cancel or change the timer setting, press the Timer button again.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Daily Cleaning:
- Turn off the hob before cleaning.
- Use a mild detergent and a soft cloth.
- Rinse thoroughly and dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
Stubborn Stains:
- Use a ceramic hob scraper for burnt-on residue.
- Be careful not to scratch the glass surface.
- Clean spills immediately, especially sugary ones.
Control Panel Cleaning:
- Wipe the control panel with a damp cloth or sponge.
- Ensure the control panel is completely dry before use.
Maintenance:
- Never attempt to repair the hob yourself.
- All repairs and maintenance should be performed by a qualified electrician.
Troubleshooting
Hob does not turn on:
- Check the power supply and ensure the hob is properly connected.
- Verify there is no power outage in your area.
Control buttons not responding:
- Ensure the control panel is clean and dry.
- Check if the child lock is activated.
Cookware not heating:
- Ensure the cookware is suitable for induction and placed correctly in the center of the zone.
- Check if the cookware base is clean and flat.
Error Codes:
- E0: No suitable cookware detected. Place suitable cookware in the center of the zone.
- E1: Voltage too low. Check power supply.
- E2: Voltage too high. Check power supply.
- E3: Sensor error or short circuit. Contact customer service or a qualified electrician.
- E4: IGBT sensor error or short circuit. Contact customer service or a qualified electrician.
- E5: IGBT overheating. Wait for the hob to cool down.
- E6: Hob overheating. Wait for the hob to cool down.
- E7: Hob sensor malfunction. Contact customer service or a qualified electrician.
- E8: Communication failure between display and base plate. Contact customer service or a qualified electrician.
- EL: Overflow protection. Remove spilled liquids and restart the hob.
Cooking Guide
General Tips:
- Reduce heat when food boils.
- Use a lid to reduce cooking time and save energy.
- Minimize liquid or fat for faster cooking.
- Start cooking at a high temperature and reduce it once the food is heated.
Power Setting Recommendations:
- 1-2: Delicate heating, melting chocolate, butter.
- 3-4: Simmering, slow heating, reheating.
- 5-6: Quick boiling, cooking rice, pancakes.
- 7-8: Sautéing, cooking pasta.
- 9: Stir-frying, rapid frying, boiling soup or water.
Important Symbols
- STOP ?: Indicates a dangerous situation. Follow safety instructions carefully.
- ! ⚠️: Indicates a warning. Pay attention to steps that could damage the appliance.
- ⓘ ?: Indicates useful information or tips.
- H ?: Residual heat indicator. The cooking zone is still hot.
