Introduction
The Kasa Cam Outdoor is designed to enhance home security. It features a built-in siren and 2-way audio to deter intruders. It provides day and night monitoring, rain or shine.

Appearance
The Kasa Cam Outdoor features a system LED that indicates status, a microphone, a USB cable, and a RESET button.
- System LED:
- Solid amber: Rebooting
- Alternating amber and green: SoftAP Mode
- Flashing red: Connecting to Wi-Fi
- Flashing green: Connected to Wi-Fi
- Solid green: Bound to Cloud
- Flashing amber: Resetting to SoftAP/Factory mode
- Magnetic Mount: Allows easy adjustment of the camera's viewing angle.
- USB Cable: Connects the power adapter to power the camera.
- RESET Button: Located under the magnetic mount. Press and hold for 3-15 seconds to reset to SoftAP mode; press and hold for over 15 seconds to reset to Factory mode.
- Speakers and Microphone: Built-in speakers and microphone protected by a waterproof membrane. Do not insert objects into the holes.
Set Up Your Camera
Follow these steps to get started:
- Step 1. Download Kasa: Get the Kasa Smart app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Step 2. Log In: Open the app and log in with your TP-Link ID. Create an account if you don't have one.
- Step 3. Start Setup: In the Kasa app, tap the add button, select Cameras > Kasa Cam Outdoor, and follow the app instructions to set up and install the camera.
View Your Camera: After setup, you can view your camera from anywhere. Navigate to the Devices page to see a list of all your cameras and other smart devices.
View Cameras List: Go to the Cameras page to view a list of all your cameras.
View Live Video: Tap a camera on the Devices or Cameras page to view live video, talk to people, sound the siren, and more.
Configure Your Camera
On the live video page, you can configure your camera settings:
- Set Schedule: Schedule automatic On/Off events for your camera.
- Change Camera Settings: Adjust various settings such as Device Name, Activity Zones, Privacy and Sensitivity, Video Quality, Video Rotation, Night Vision, Status LED, and Device Info.
Check Activity Notifications
Receive activity notifications and check live video or recordings immediately.
- Check Activity History: Go to the Activity page to view recorded activity clips.
- Filter Activity Clips: Filter activity clips on the Activity page based on your needs.
- Change Notification Settings: Adjust notification settings on the Activity page.
Work with Other Smart Home Products
Control your camera with other smart home products from TP-Link, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and more. Add devices via the Devices page in the Kasa app.
