SENSORS
Name | Functional Description |
---|---|
TrueMapping | Utilizes triangulation with laser beams to measure distances between the DEEBOT and nearby objects, creating a spatial map of the surroundings. Measurement range is 8 meters. |
TrueDetect 3D Sensor | Scans objects with a line laser and uses a monocular camera to generate 3D coordinates for object identification. Detection distance is 0.35m. |
Microphone | Vibrates via air by human voice for Voice Recording and Voice Control. Effective wake range is 8m. |
Anti-drop Sensor | Uses an Infrared Sensor at the bottom to detect the distance to the ground. Prevents the DEEBOT from moving forward if stairs are detected or the distance is below a preset threshold (60mm trigger distance). |
Carpet Detection Sensor | Analyzes ultrasonic echo signals on different surfaces to identify floor material and automatically adjust cleaning strategy. Operates at 290kHz. |
Edge Sensor | Employs infrared ranging to detect distances to side objects. Performs edge-cleaning operations to avoid missing spots and collisions with walls or obstacles on the right side. |
Anti-collision Sensor | Detects obstacles by sensing when a transmitted signal is blocked. The receiver not receiving the signal allows the DEEBOT to avoid obstacles. |
NOTES BEFORE CLEANING
Preparation:
- Tidy up the area by putting furniture, such as chairs, in their proper place.
- During the first use, make sure each room door is open to help DEEBOT fully explore your house.
- It may be necessary to place a physical barrier at the edge of a drop to stop the unit from falling over the edge.
- Put away objects including cables, cloths, and slippers, etc., on the floor to improve the cleaning efficiency.
- Before using the product on a rug with tasseled edges, please fold the rug edges under.
- Please do not stand in narrow spaces, such as hallways, and make sure not to block the TrueMapping Distance Sensor.
QUICK START
1 Installation
The sound of "Click" indicates proper installation.
Step 1: Connect components by aligning them and pressing until a "Click" is heard.
Step 2: Assemble and Place the Station.
Keep the area around the Station clear of objects, especially those with reflective surfaces.
Station Placement Requirements:
- Maintain at least 0.05m (0.16') clearance on the sides.
- Maintain at least 0.8m (2.62') clearance in front.
- If there are reflective objects (mirrors, skirting lines) nearby, cover the bottom 14cm of the Station.
- Do not place the Station under direct sunlight.
- It is recommended to place the Station on a hard floor for optimal performance.
- Place the Station in a location with a strong Wi-Fi signal.
Note:
- It is recommended to use ECOVACS DEEBOT Cleaning Solution (sold separately). Using other cleaning solutions may cause DEEBOT slipping, water tank blockage, or other problems.
- Water drops in the Water Tank are from the function test and are safe to use.
