Video & Photo Settings
1. Video Resolution
Options: 4K30FPS, 2.7K30FPS, 1080P120FPS, 1080P60FPS, 1080P30FPS, 720P240FPS, 720P120FPS, 720P60FPS, 720P30FPS.
Default setting is 4K 30fps.
Note: When recording videos with high resolutions or high frame rates in warm ambient temperatures, the camera may reach a high temperature and consume more power.
2. Video Mode
Options: Video, SlowMotion, Loop Record.
Default setting is Video.
With this setting, you can select Video, Slow-motion, and Loop recording modes.
3. Image Stabilization
Options: Off/On. Default setting is Off.
This setting adjusts the footage to compensate for movements during recording, resulting in smoother footage, especially during activities with small but fast movements, such as cycling, motorcycling, and handheld applications.
4. Angle
Options: Super Wide/Wide/Medium/Narrow. Default setting is Super Wide.
The angle determines how much of the scene can be captured by the camera lens. The wide angle captures the most of the scene, while the narrow angle captures the least.
5. Dive Mode
Options: Off/On. Default setting is Off.
Dive Mode can compensate for red light loss in underwater environments. Dive Mode is designed for use in tropical and blue water and is optimized for use between 3 and 25 meters.
6. Video Length
Options: 2 Min/3 Min/5 Min. Default setting is 2 Min.
With Loop recording, you can record continuously, saving only the moments you want to keep. For example, if you select a 5-minute interval, only the last 5 minutes will be saved when you press the shutter to stop recording. If you record for 5 minutes and do not press the shutter to stop and save, the camera will record a new 5-minute interval, overwriting the previous 5 minutes of footage. If the memory card is full, new files will be written over the old files when Loop recording is enabled.
Time-lapse Photo takes a series of photos at specific intervals. Use this mode to capture photos of any activity and then select the best photos later.
7. Exposure
Options: -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3. Default setting is 0.
By default, your camera uses the entire image to determine the appropriate exposure level. However, with Exposure, you can select an area that the camera should prioritize when determining exposure. This setting is particularly useful for shots where an important area might otherwise be over- or underexposed. Changing this setting will immediately show you the effect on your image on the display.
When you change modes, the camera will again use the entire scene to determine the correct exposure.
8. WDR (Wide Dynamic Range)
Options: Off/On. Default setting is Off.
Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) captures more detail in the dark and bright areas of an image. The result is a photo that is correctly exposed for both extremes. This setting is particularly useful for scenes with a bright background or large bright areas and a dark foreground. WDR is only available in Video mode.
9. Metering
Options: Average/Center/Spot. Default setting is Average.
Determine the method by which your camera measures the scene's light.
10. Sharpness
Options: High/Medium/Low. Default setting is High.
Sharpness controls the quality of details captured in your video recordings or photos. Changing this setting will immediately display the effect on your image on the screen.
11. Video Quality
Options: High/Medium/Low. Default setting is Medium.
12. ISO
Options: Auto/100/200/400/800/1600/3200/6400. Default setting is Auto.
ISO determines the camera's light sensitivity, balancing brightness and image noise. Image noise refers to the degree of graininess in the image. In low light conditions, higher ISO values result in brighter images but with more image noise. Lower values result in less image noise but darker images. Changing this setting will immediately display the effect on your image on the display.
13. Timestamp
Options: Off/On. Default setting is On.
Turn on the timestamp, and this camera will add a date and time stamp to your videos and photos.
14. Motion Detection
Options: Off/On. Default setting is Off.
Motion detection recognizes a change in an object's position relative to its surroundings or a change in the surroundings relative to an object. Turn on motion detection and the camera, and the camera will automatically record a video when it detects a change in an object's position relative to its surroundings.
15. Photo Resolution
Options: 20MP, 16MP, 13MP, 8MP. Default setting is 20M.
16. Image Stabilizer
Options: Off/On. Default setting is Off.
This setting adjusts the footage to compensate for movements during recording, resulting in smoother footage, especially during activities with small but fast movements, such as cycling, motorcycling, and handheld applications.
17. Burst Photos
Options: 3P/s, 5P/s, 10P/s. Default setting is 3P/s.
Burst photos capture up to 10 photos in 1 second, making it perfect for capturing fast-moving activities.
18. Time-lapse Interval
Options: 0.5s/1s/2s/5s/10s/30s/60s. Default setting is 0.5s.
Time-lapse Video creates videos from frames captured at specific intervals. With this option, you can capture a time-lapse event and view or share it as a video immediately.
Note: Time-lapse video is recorded without audio.
19. Continuous Time-lapse
Options: 3s/10s/20s/30s/60s. Default setting is 3s.
Turn off the self-timer, go back, and you will see the time-lapse icon. Click it and enter the setting to find the photo interval. This camera records a continuous time-lapse for a maximum of 60 seconds.
