Important Safety Warnings
⚠️ Before use, please read completely and use in accordance with these safety instructions. Before commencing any electrical work, ensure the supply is switched OFF at the mains. This product should be installed in accordance with relevant building regulations.
If replacing an existing product, disconnect wiring carefully. Ensure terminals are tightened and no bare wires are visible. Do not trap wires when fitting the speaker.
Read the instructions carefully before starting the installation process and keep them safe for future reference.
- Failure to follow instructions voids all warranties.
- Do not use the product in water.
- Do not install directly above heat sources.
- Do not expose to rain or moisture (e.g., above bath/shower areas in Zone 0 or 1).
- Protect the power cable from damage.
- Only use manufacturer-specified attachments/accessories.
- Turn off power when unused for long periods.
- A Fire and Acoustic speaker hood (up to 60 minutes fire rating) is required in accordance with UK building regulations.

Installation
IMPORTANT: ENSURE THE POWER SUPPLY IS SWITCHED OFF AT THE MAINS BEFORE COMMENCING ANY ELECTRICAL WORK. SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP IF UNSURE.
- Mark Position: Use the supplied template, tape measure, and pencil to mark the speaker's position. Use a stud finder to ensure no obstructions are present before cutting.
- Cut Hole: Drill a pilot hole and then use a cutting saw to cut the speaker hole. Exercise caution to keep fingers away from the blade and wear protective eyewear.
- Connect Power: Connect the power lead from the transformer to a 13A mains plug socket or a dedicated 3A fused spur. Ensure the power lead is not overstretched.
- Insert Speaker: Place the speaker into the ceiling. Use a screwdriver to lock the 4 dog leg fixings to secure the speaker. Do not overtighten. Attach the magnetic grille to the speaker front.
Painting the Speaker Grille
Do not paint the grilles while attached. Lithe Audio recommends spray painting using a 5:1 thinning agent to paint ratio. Spray thinly to avoid blocking grille holes, which can affect sound quality.
Installations in Fire-Rated Ceilings
If mounting in a fire-rated ceiling, purchase a fire hood. Visit www.litheaudio.com for more information and recommended hoods.
Setup and Pairing
NOTE: ENSURE THE BLUETOOTH WIRELESS SPEAKER IS CONNECTED TO POWER AND TURNED ON. The LED indicator flashes Blue when ready to pair and turns solid Blue when connected.
- Open your device's settings menu and select Bluetooth.
- Turn on Bluetooth and search for devices.
- Click 'Lithe Audio BT2' to connect and pair.
- Open your phone camera and scan the QR code to download the Setup App. Use the app to change the speaker name or add a PIN.
Bluetooth Setup App
The app allows you to identify speakers, assign unique names and passwords, and configure them for use with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, or TVs wirelessly. Visit: www.litheaudio.com/bluetooth-5-setup-app.html
Hard Wired Input - RCA Input
Connect non-Bluetooth devices like turntables, CD players, or MP4 players using an RCA cable. Ensure all Bluetooth connections are turned off. The LED will turn green when playing via RCA.
Additional Speaker - Optional
The master Bluetooth ceiling speaker can power an additional passive speaker via the speaker output (+/-). Strip the ends of the speaker cable as required. This setup is ideal for kitchens or larger rooms requiring a true stereo setup.
Lithe-Link™ Setup
Connect up to 3 master speakers and their passive/slaves to play audio simultaneously. The number of speakers that play depends on how they are wired.
You will need a 3.5mm to 3.5mm Jack cable (not supplied) to connect the Line OUT (Pink connector block) of one speaker to the Line IN (Green connector block) of another.
Bluetooth master speakers require power connection. Passive ceiling speakers are connected via speaker cable.
Setup with Full Loop Connection
Connecting the first and last master speaker creates a full loop system. All connected masters and their passive speakers will play, ensuring coverage in large rooms. Ideal for open plan areas.
Setup Without Full Loop Connection
This configuration allows playback only from the speaker you connect to and subsequent linked speakers. For example, in a 6-speaker setup, connecting to Speaker A allows A, B, and C to play. Connecting to Speaker B allows only B and C to play. Ideal for zoned areas where not all speakers need to play at once.
Lithe-Link Speaker Setup Options
- 3 Speaker Setup: Requires 2 master speakers and 1 passive speaker.
- 4 Speaker Setup: Requires 2 master speakers and 2 passive speakers.
- 5 Speaker Setup: Requires 3 master speakers and 2 passive speakers.
