MOUNTING AND LEVELING INSTRUCTIONS
The following sections detail how to attach the tabletop to a stand and level the router plate.
MOUNTING HOLE LOCATION KEY
This key indicates the purpose of different mounting hole patterns on the tabletop and their compatibility with optional accessories:
- Rockler® Router Table Steel Stand (Item 48426, sold separately)
- Dust Right® Dust Bucket (Item 56248, sold separately)
- Dust Right® Dado Dust Chute (Item 57495, sold separately)
Attaching to a Rockler® Steel Stand
This procedure describes how to secure the Cast Iron Tabletop to a compatible steel stand.
- Align the mounting holes in the bottom of the Cast Iron Tabletop (Item 1) with the corresponding mounting holes in the Rockler® Router Table Steel Stand (Item 48426, sold separately). Refer to the mounting hole diagrams for proper alignment.
- Secure the tabletop using four 1/4"-20 x 3/4" Truss Head Machine Screws (Item 2). The remaining four 1/4"-20 x 3/4" Truss Head Machine Screws (Item 2) are intended for mounting the optional Dust Right® Dust Bucket (Item 56248, sold separately).
Leveling the Router Plate
This procedure explains how to ensure the router insert plate is perfectly level with the tabletop surface.
- Fit the insert plate (sold separately) into the center opening of the Cast Iron Tabletop (Item 1).
- Working from the underside of the tabletop, thread eight 1/4"-20 x 1" Plate Leveling Set Screws (Item 3) into the designated adjustment holes. For each set screw, install a 1/4" Split Lock Washer (Item 4) and a 1/4"-20 Hex Nut (Item 5) onto the bottom of the screw.
- Use the Hex Wrench (Item 6) to adjust the 1/4"-20 x 1" Plate Leveling Set Screws (Item 3) until the router insert plate sits flush with the surface of the Cast Iron Tabletop (Item 1).
- To prevent the leveling set screws from loosening, hold each 1/4"-20 x 1" Plate Leveling Set Screw (Item 3) with the Hex Wrench (Item 6) while using a 7/16" wrench to tighten the corresponding 1/4"-20 Hex Nut (Item 5). Fine-tuning of these settings may be necessary after installing your router.
- Once the router plate is confirmed to be level with the tabletop all the way around, use the plate locking bolts that came with your router plate to secure it firmly in place.
ℹ️ NOTICE: In the corners of the center opening that have three holes, install Leveling Set Screws only in the two outer holes. The center hole is for securing the router plate (sold separately) with its own locking mechanism.
