V1 V2 Function Operation Instruction

Function Introduction

Item Description

The radio outlook is based on the real radio.

Diagram Description: The diagram shows a walkie-talkie with labeled parts: A. LED Indicator: Green LED flashes when receiving a signal, Red LED flashes when transmitting. B. Channel knob: Rotate to choose the channel (CH1-CH15); CH16 is the scan channel. C. ON/OFF knob/Volume knob: Rotate clockwise to turn on the radio and increase volume; rotate anticlockwise to turn off the radio and decrease volume. D. PTT switch: Press PTT and speak into the microphone to call; release to listen. E. Monitor button: Pressing the Monitor key opens the squelch, allowing background noise to be heard. Releasing the button closes the squelch. This is helpful for adjusting volume or listening for weak signals. F. USB Rapid charge plug. G. Speaker/Microphone rubber plug: Please cover when not in use. H. Loudspeaker. J. Microphone.

Battery Charging

  1. Take out the charger, plug the AC (100-240V) 50/60Hz adapter; the Green LED flashes.
  2. Plug the battery or the radio with the battery into the charger; ensure the battery is connected.
  3. The charging process starts when the red LED lights up. Charging time depends on battery capacity. The Green LED lights indicate the battery is fully charged.
  4. Use the USB cable to plug into the radio; the red LED lights when charging, and the green LED lights when fully charged.

Function Operation

Switching Power ON/OFF

Turn the power switch/volume control clockwise. You will hear a channel number, indicating the radio is ON.

Adjusting the Volume

Hold the MONI button down to listen to the audio level while rotating the Power switch/Volume control. Rotate clockwise to increase volume and counterclockwise to decrease volume.

Selecting the Channel

Turn the channel switch to select your desired channel. Channel 16 is the Scanning Channel.

PTT Transmit

To transmit, press and hold the [PTT] button and speak into the microphone in your normal tone of voice.

Squelch Level

The purpose of Squelch is to mute the speaker when no signals are present (Squelch OFF). With the squelch level correctly set, you will hear sound only when actually receiving signals (Squelch ON). The squelch level can be adjusted via program software. The frequency of squelch is 0 (on) to 9 (deep), in steps of 1.

Scanning Switch

When the walkie-talkie is set to scan via software, turn the channel selector to channel 16. The radio will automatically detect activity on scanning channels from CH1 to CH15 (each channel can be set to scan or not via software). When a signal is detected on a scanned channel, the radio will automatically stop on that channel for the call.

  • The walkie-talkie will stay on the signal channel. When the signal disappears and after 15 seconds, it will continue scanning the next channel.
  • If there are fewer than 2 channels, it cannot scan.
  • On channel 16, press and hold the PTT and MONI keys to turn SCAN ON or OFF.
  • If the FM radio function is activated, scanning is not possible.

VOX

  • The VOX function is effective when it is turned ON.
  • VOX gain level: When the sound level is higher than the set VOX level, VOX will automatically transmit. The VOX gain level can be adjusted from 1 to 9 levels.
  • When a signal is received, VOX will not transmit even if the sound level is higher than the set VOX gain level.
  • On channels CH1 ~ CH5, press and hold the PTT and MONI buttons, then switch on the radio to activate or deactivate the VOX function.

Monitor

When you are receiving and no signals are present, the squelch function mutes the speaker, preventing background noise. To switch the squelch function OFF, press and hold the MONI button. This is very helpful when you want to adjust the volume level or receive weak signals.

Battery Saving

  • ON: Enters battery saving state automatically without any operation for 10 seconds.
  • OFF: Battery saving is off.

Busy Channel Lockout (BCL)

Switch the effective channel busy lockout function ON or OFF via PC programming software. When this setting is enabled, signals from the current channel are blocked from transmission.

Beep

  • Beep is ON, and a "Di" sound is emitted for every channel rotation.
  • Beep is OFF, and no "Di" sound is emitted for every channel rotation.

Low Battery Voltage Warning

When the voltage is lower than the preset value, a prompt "Please change battery" is issued every 5 seconds. Pressing the PTT buttons is invalid and produces "Di" sounds.

Chinese / English Prompt

This radio includes Chinese and English voice signal modes. To switch modes, with the channel knob set to channel CH15, first turn off the radio, then hold both the PTT and MONI buttons while turning on the power. Each switch toggles between modes.

Time-out Timer (TOT)

The TOT function prevents a user from transmitting on a channel for too long continuously, which can cause the interphone to overheat. If you continuously transmit beyond the TOT limit time set by the machine, the radio will stop transmitting. The time can be programmed by computer; the factory setting is 1 minute. Release the PTT button and press PTT again to resume transmitting.

QT / DQT

The radio's QT/DQT for each channel can be programmed by software. When a channel is set with QT/DQT, the radio's squelch opens only if it receives a signal using the same QT or DQT. The radio's squelch does not turn on if the same channel uses different QT/DQT calls. This feature supports green lights, 50 groups of sub-CTCSS, and 105 groups of digital sub-audio DCS. Note: Although using a channel with CTCSS/DCS sub-audio may be preferable for avoiding unwanted calls, it does not guarantee call secrecy.
