3. Getting Started

Screw on the Antenna

Ensure the antenna is securely screwed onto the top of the radio.

1. Attach the Battery to the Device

Align the battery with the back of the radio and slide it into place until it clicks securely.

2. Attach the Radio Belt Clip as Needed

If desired, attach the belt clip to the back of the radio for easy carrying.

3. Charge the Battery

Before initial use, fully charge the battery.

Charging

  1. Connect the power cable to the adapter.
  2. Plug the AC connector of the adapter into an AC outlet.
  3. Connect the DC connector of the adapter to the DC jack on the back of the charger.
  4. Place the device with the battery, or the battery alone, into the charger.
  5. Ensure the battery makes proper contact with the charging terminals. The charging process begins when the red LED illuminates.
  6. The green LED will illuminate after approximately 4 hours of charging, indicating a full battery. At this point, remove the device or battery from the charging station.

4. Usage

Quick Start

  1. Charge the battery.
  2. Screw on the antenna.
  3. Turn on the device by rotating button [4]. This selector also controls the volume.
  4. Button [10] allows switching between transceiver and FM mode.
  5. Frequencies can be tuned using the arrow keys, automatic scanning (by long-pressing the asterisk on the keypad), or by directly entering the frequency on the numeric keypad.
  6. Transmit by pressing the PTT button (releasing the button allows reception).
  7. Switch between channels A and B using the EXIT/AB button on the keypad.
  8. Long-pressing the '#' button locks and unlocks the keypad.

Turning the Device On / Off

Rotate button [4] clockwise. You will hear a beep and a voice prompt indicating that the device is turned on.

Volume Adjustment

Rotate button [4] clockwise to increase the volume. Rotate it counter-clockwise to decrease the volume.

Frequency Tuning

Frequencies can be tuned using the arrow keys, automatic scanning (by long-pressing the asterisk on the keypad), or by directly entering the frequency on the numeric keypad.

Transmission - Transmit

Transmit by pressing the PTT A and PTT B buttons (releasing the button allows reception).

For maximum clarity of transmitted sound, speak into the microphone from a distance of 10-15cm.

Reception

Reception is automatic after turning on the device. If someone calls you via the radio, you will hear them immediately on your device.

6. Final Provisions
