Functions
Telephone Wire Search Function
This function allows rapid identification of a specific telephone wire within a bundle.
- Insert the telephone wire with an RJ11 plug into the emitter's RJ11 socket.
- Set the emitter's DIP switch to "SCAN" ?. The "STATUS" ? indicator will flash, indicating normal operation.
- Press the receiver's "inching button" and use the probe to locate the target wire at the other end.
- The "function switchover button" on the emitter can be pressed to switch between dual-tone signals.
How to find the target wire: Compare the volume of the "tout" sound and the brightness of the signal indicator on the receiver. The target wire will produce the loudest sound and brightest indicator.
Usage Scenarios:
- Case I: Finding wires on a switch or patch panel. Connect the emitter to the telephone wire to be found and use the receiver at the other end.
- Case II: Finding wires on routers or network bars. Similar procedure as Case I.
Network Wire Search Function
This function enables rapid identification of network cables.
- Insert the network wire with an RJ45 plug into the emitter's RJ45 socket.
- Set the emitter's DIP switch to "SCAN" ?. The "STATUS" ? indicator will flash.
- Press the receiver's "inching button" and use the probe to locate the target wire.
- The "function switchover button" can be pressed to switch between dual-tone signals.
How to find the target wire: Compare the volume of the "tout" sound and the brightness of the signal indicator. The target wire will have the highest volume and brightest indicator.
Usage Scenarios:
- Case I: Finding wires on a switch. Connect the emitter to the network wire and use the receiver at the other end.
- Case II: Finding wires on a net bar. Similar procedure.
Electric Wire Search Function
This function is used for finding wires, potentially using crocodile clamps with RJ11 plugs.
- Connect the emitter using a crocodile clamp and RJ11 plug to the electric wire.
- Set the emitter's DIP switch to "SCAN" ?. The "STATUS" ? indicator will flash.
- Press the receiver's "inching button" and use the probe to locate the target wire.
- The "function switchover button" can be pressed for dual-tone switchover.
How to find the target wire: Compare the volume of the "tout" sound and the brightness of the signal indicator.
Electric Wire Collation Function (Network Wire Sequence Tester)
This function tests the sequence of network wires.
- Insert RJ45 plugs of the network wire into the corresponding sockets on the emitter and receiver.
- Set the emitter's function switchover button to "TEST" ?. The "VERIFY" ✔️ indicator will flash.
- The device judges characteristics like short-circuit, breaking circuit, open circuit, and crossing based on 16 wire sequences.
- The "function switchover button" can be pressed to switch between fast and slow testing levels.
Note: This equipment is prohibited from being used on heavy-current wires.
The device can rapidly test open circuit/short circuit and crossing through 16 status indicators, providing accurate and clear results.
Other Functions
- Open circuit or short circuit testing: Set emitter DIP to "TEST" ?, long press function switchover button for 2 seconds (VERIFY indicator changes from flashing to lighting). Insert crystal plug with crocodile clamp into RJ11, clamp the two ends. For short circuit, the "1️⃣-shape" indicator lights up. Resistance is indicated by the brightness of status indicators (brighter = smaller resistance).
- DC level testing: Set emitter DIP to "SCAN" ?, long press function switchover button for 2 seconds (STATUS indicator turns off, VERIFY indicator flashes). Insert crystal plug with crocodile clamp into RJ11, clamp the two ends. If "STATUS" ? indicator lights up red, the red clamp is positive ➕. If it lights up green, it's negative ➖. Electric level is judged by brightness.
- Low voltage alarm ⚠️: If battery level is below 6.0V, "STATUS" ? and "VERIFY" ✔️ indicators light up simultaneously, indicating battery replacement is needed.
- Earphone function ?: Allows use in noisy environments to prevent interference.
- Volume adjusting function: Rotate the volume knob for moderate sound levels while tracing wires.
- Spotlight function ?: Enables work in the dark.
- Energy-saving: The "inching switch" provides automatic delayed power-off. Continuous battery lifespan is over 50 hours.
