Accessories and Cookware
For optimal performance and safety, use only ferromagnetic cookware suitable for induction cooktops. Look for the [Ferromagnetic symbol] or test with a magnet to ensure the base is magnetic.
Cookware Material and Properties
Cookware Type | Material | Properties |
---|---|---|
Recommended cookware | Base is made of stainless steel with sandwich design, enameled steel, cast iron. | Ensures optimum efficiency, heats up quickly, and distributes heat evenly. |
Suitable cookware | Base is not fully ferromagnetic (magnet sticks only in a portion of the cookware base). | Only the ferromagnetic area heats up. As a result, may heat up less quickly and heat may be distributed less evenly. |
Suitable cookware | Ferromagnetic base contains areas with aluminum or has a recessed area in the center. | The ferromagnetic area is smaller than the actual cookware base area. As a result, less power may be delivered and cookware may not heat sufficiently. Cookware may not be detected. |
Not suitable | Normal thin steel, glass, clay, copper, aluminum and other non-ferromagnetic materials, cookware with rubber feet. | Cookware is not detected and will not heat up. |
Note: All cookware must have a flat base. Periodically check the base for any sign of warping, as some cookware may undergo deformation due to high heat.
Adapters for Pots/Pans Unsuitable for Induction
Using adapter plates affects efficiency and increases heating time. Ensure the ferromagnetic diameter of the cookware base aligns with the adapter plate and cooking zone diameter. Mismatched measurements significantly decrease efficiency and performance, potentially causing blackening of the plate and cooktop.
Empty Pots and Pans
The cooktop has an "Automatic off" function for high temperatures. Using empty pots with thin bases is not recommended. If used, temperature may rise quickly, risking damage to the pan or cooktop. Do not touch hot pans or the cooktop surface; let them cool. Call the Service Center if an error message appears.
Suitable Size of Pan/Pot Base for Different Cooking Zones
To ensure proper function, use pots with a base diameter matching the cooking zone. Note that manufacturers often list the upper diameter, not the base diameter.
Always use a cooking zone size that matches the ferromagnetic size of the cookware base. Place pans/pots centered on the zone. Do not use pots larger than the cooking zone.
Cookware Usage by Zone
Zone | Suitable Cookware Shape | Suitable Ferromagnetic Base (inch) / (cm) |
---|---|---|
1 or 2 | Round or Square | 6 in - 8 in / 15 cm - 20 cm |
3 | Round | 7 in - 10 in / 18 cm - 27 cm |
4 | Round | 4 in - 6 in / 10 cm - 15 cm |
1+2 (Griddle Zone) | Oval or Rectangular | Short side: 7 in - 8 in / 16 cm - 20 cm Long side: 10 in - 16 in / 24 cm - 40 cm |
First Time Use
Switching the Cooktop ON/OFF
To turn the cooktop on, press the power button for approximately 1 second. To turn it off, press the same button again; all cooking zones will deactivate.
Cookware Positioning
Do not cover the control panel with cooking pots. For zones near the control panel, keep pots within the markings (considering both the bottom and upper edge) to prevent excessive overheating of the control panel. Use rear cooking zones for grilling or frying whenever possible.
Activating/Deactivating Cooking Zones & Adjusting Power Levels
Activating Cooking Zones
Activate a zone by pressing its ON/OFF button. Place your finger on the zone's slider and slide horizontally: right to increase power level, left to decrease. Slider segments illuminate based on the selected power level (1-18), shown on the display. The [Power Boost button] (P) can be used for rapid water boiling.
Deactivating Cooking Zones
Press the zone's ON/OFF button.
Note: Spills, overflows, or objects on control panel buttons can mimic finger presses, activating or deactivating buttons. If not removed within 8 seconds, the zone displays "OFF" and the cooktop switches off with a sound.
Control Panel Lock
This function locks the cooktop to prevent accidental setting changes, recommended during cleaning. To activate, press and hold the [Control Lock button] for 3 seconds. The button illuminates, and an indicator light above the symbol shows activation. To unlock, press again for 3 seconds. It can only be deactivated if the cooktop is ON.
Note: When locked, no other function can be activated. Interaction attempts will cause the button to blink. The cooktop can still be turned on and off.
Residual Heat
If the [Hot symbol] appears on a cooking zone display, the zone is hot. The indicator may light up even if the zone wasn't used directly, but was heated by adjacent zones or a hot pot. The [Hot symbol] disappears when the zone cools down.
Pot Incorrectly Positioned or Missing
The [Pot symbol] appears if the pot is unsuitable for induction, incorrectly positioned, or the wrong size for the selected zone. If no pot is detected within 30 seconds, the cooking zone switches off.
Functions
Power Levels
The cooktop offers 18 power levels for precise cooking control. The table below provides cooking tips for each level. Actual power depends on zone size and cookware.
Power Level | Cooking Tips |
---|---|
Power Boost | Boil water rapidly. Do not use an empty pan or oil/butter. |
17-18 | Boil water, deep fry frozen products. |
15-16 | Maintain a lively boil, quick-sear, blister, stir-fry, brown. |
10-14 | Maintain a gentle boil, preheat, grill (for extended periods), stir-fry, sauté, caramelize, brown, make pancakes. |
5-9 | Simmer, stew, thicken, slow cook. |
3-4 | Keep warm, defrost. |
1-2 | Melt, cream (risotto). |
Zero power (OFF) | Cooktop is in standby or off mode (possible residual heat indicated by [Hot symbol]). |
Power Boost "P"
A special mode providing power higher than level 18 for the fastest water boiling. It can be maintained for a maximum of 10 minutes per zone, after which power reduces to level 18. IMPORTANT: Do not use with an empty pan or oil/butter; it's for boiling water only.
Note: Activating another zone may reduce Power Boost on the first zone. The second zone's power may also be limited based on available capacity.
Griddle Zone
Combines two zones into one longer zone for rectangular, oval, or elongated cookware, using a single setting. Activate by pressing the Griddle Zone button. Use the slider to set power. Both zone displays show the setting. You can use either slider to adjust power during cooking. Deselect by pressing the Griddle Zone button again or a zone's ON/OFF button. Note: Cannot select Griddle Zone if both zones are already ON. For proper performance, use cookware long enough to cover both zones and center it within the flexible rectangular cooking area.
IMPORTANT: Large round pots in the center may heat slower or less evenly. For pots ≤ 8 inches (20 cm), use single zones without the Griddle Zone.
Griddle Zone used as two individual zones: For using two pots, place one on the rear zone and the other on the front. Activate each zone independently using its ON/OFF button and slider. Ensure cookware is centered and does not extend beyond the zone area or onto the control panel.

Sounds Produced During Operation
Induction cooktops may produce whistling or creaking sounds due to cookware characteristics (material layers, irregular bottoms). These sounds vary by cookware and food amount and are not indicative of a problem. Continuous clicking or tick-tack sounds may occur if the pan doesn't receive full power for the set level. Use pans with larger diameters than specified or more performing pans. A hiss may be heard when activating multiple zones; intensity may decrease or disappear by changing settings. Water spills, overflows, or objects on control buttons can mimic finger presses, activating buttons and producing sounds.
