ACE Controller Defect

Scope

  • All Gen IV Controllers
  • Releases:
    • 1R25_BETA_6, 1R25, 1R25.1

Problem

  • After many fastenings, the tool stops running
  • The last fastening isn't recorded
  • The tool won't run again until the controller is rebooted or the PSet switched

Frequency

  • Intermittent
  • Randomly occurs – usually after thousands of rundowns.

Description

ACE controller releases 1R25_BETA_6, 1R25, and 1R25.1 have an intermittent defect that causes the tool to stop fastening. Once the tool stops fastening, it is inoperable until the Controller is either restarted, or the PSet changed.

Action

Customers that have downloaded and / or installed any of the following ACE Controller software releases: 1R25_BETA_6, 1R25, or 1R25.1 should update their Controllers to the 2R25 software release.
