About this Guide
This guide consists of 3 sections:
- Overview – A brief description of what Tickets are in a TrueOrder™ Kitchen Display System (KDS).
- How to Configure – A procedure that can be followed to add a new Ticket.
- Appendix – Highlighting the configuration options.
Overview
Tickets contain the order information and are displayed in a tile on the KDS display. The Item Font Size, Line Spacing, and Color Themes are all modifiable. Different display tickets can be created to allow for each display to have its own unique look. This guide covers how to configure tickets.
Example Ticket Display
The KDS display shows multiple order tickets. Each ticket includes a customer name (e.g., 'Steven', 'Jenny', 'Sophia', 'Michael Wang'), an order number or table number (e.g., '2003', '2004'), and a list of items with quantities and modifications (e.g., '1 Classic Burger', 'Jalapenos', 'Extra Tomatoes', 'Pickles'). Status indicators like 'Continue' and 'RECALL' are also visible, along with timers.
How to Configure Tickets
This guide assumes that you already have a Single-Station KDS system setup as described in the TrueOrder KDS Single-Station Quick Start Guide.

The 'New Ticket' configuration screen within the KDS Configuration Utility is shown. It features a 'TICKET PREVIEW' area on the right, displaying a sample ticket with fields like 'Name', 'Priority', 'Item Font Size', 'Line Spacing', and 'Select Color Theme'. The left side contains input fields for configuring these properties, including color swatch selectors for themes and a 'SAVE' button.
Note: You must add this Ticket to a grid and only then can the Layout be applied to a Station.
