Electrified Options

Standalone Door Alarm (SDA16)

The SDA16 is a battery-operated door alarm designed to monitor door status. It triggers an alarm upon unauthorized opening, featuring a Piezo horn with 105+ decibels. Ideal for emergency, stairwell, and rear exit doors in retail environments. It can be hardwired and is typically mounted on the door frame or door, paired with a magnet on the opposing side of the gap.

  • Features: Dimensions: 8.3"L x 3.1"W x 2.0"D. Non-handed. Powered by 9V battery or hardwired. Includes low-voltage battery indicator, reverse battery protection, tamper switch, and adjustable dip switch features. Accepts external cylinders.
  • Remote Mounting: Unit can be installed up to 6 feet from the door by attaching contacts to the frame. Specify "SDA16XL" to order.

Cylinders and Accessories

  • Power Supply: 784 Power supply (9VDC) with plug-in wall transformer and 12' cable assembly (part no. 00-0000-3425). Optional gel-cell battery available.
  • Wire Harness: WH-11 Wire harness for remote power and unlock.
  • Cylinders: Mortise and rim cylinders available for unit control. See pages 26-28 for cylinder information.

Rim Cylinders

A comprehensive chart details rim cylinders compatible with 440F and 540F series trims, including model numbers, descriptions, pin counts, lengths, and collar requirements for various Yale, Schlage, and Best keyways. Options include standard fixed cores, LFIC (Large Format Interchangeable Core), and SFIC (Small Format Interchangeable Core) complete units.

Example Cylinder Details:

  • 1109 Standard Fixed Core: 6-pin, 1-1/4" length, available with No Collar or KP4 collar.
  • 1193 LFIC Complete: 6-pin, 1-7/16" length, available with various collar options.
  • K300 Yale® KeyMark® Standard Fixed Core: 6-pin, 1-1/8" length, available with KP4 collar.

121NL Cylinder Only: Specifically for 2100(F) and 2150(F) rim and SquareBolt® exit devices. Not recommended for vertical rod devices. Requires rim cylinder specification. Cylinder collar 1765.250 is standard for 1-3/4" doors.

Mortise Cylinders

A detailed chart lists mortise cylinders for use with cylinder dogging, 2116 alarms, SDA16 inside, and KRM200 mullions. It includes model numbers, descriptions, pin counts, lengths, cam types, and collar requirements for various Yale, Corbin Russwin, Sargent, and Schlage keyways. Options include standard fixed cores, LFIC, and SFIC complete units.

Cylinder Collars

Various cylinder collars are available to ensure proper fit and function, including:

  • 1765 Recessed Cylinder Collar: "A" Dimension thicknesses from 1/16" to 1-15/32". Material: Brass, Bronze.
  • KP3 Wave Washer: Furnished standard with 1765 collar for Yale KeyMark cylinders and 630F series trim.
  • 599 Recessed Cylinder Collar with Radius: "A" Dimension thicknesses from 1/16" to 1-15/32". Material: Brass, Bronze.
  • KP4 Flush Mount Cylinder Collar: Material: Brass, Bronze.

Long Tailpiece Kit

Available for escutcheon series trim on doors up to 4-1/2" thick. Specify part number by door thickness and trim type (e.g., 620F and 630F Series Trim).

Von Duprin® Tailpiece

This tailpiece is available for the Yale 1109 rim cylinder to operate the night latch function for Von Duprin exit devices. Specify part number: 34-1145-1005-048.

Strikes

A variety of strikes are offered for different device types:

Rim Devices

  • 757F: Standard strike for 2100(F) and 2150(F) devices. Includes machine screws, shims, and locking plate.
  • 757FWS: Standard strike for 2150(F)WS and 2250M(F)WS devices. Includes multiple machine screws, shims, locking plate, and interlocking bracket.
  • 793: Optional strike for double door applications without a mullion. Includes machine screws, shims, and locking plate. Panic only.

Vertical Rod Devices - Top Strikes

  • 791: Standard top strike for 7110(F), 7120(F), 7210, 7220, 7210M(F), 7220M(F) series. Includes machine screws, shims, and locking plate.
  • 726: Standard top strike for 7170(F) series. Includes machine screws, sheet metal screws, and shim.
  • 761: Standard top strike for 7160(F) series. Includes machine screws and sheet metal screws.
  • 797: Optional bracket for mounting 791 top strike in flush transom openings.

Vertical Rod Devices - Bottom Strikes

  • 790: Standard bottom strike for 7110(F), 7120(F), 7160(F), 7170(F), 7210, 7220, 7210M(F), 7220M(F) series. Press-in type.
  • 794: Optional bottom strike for fire openings or flush floor mount. Requires specific machine screws and floor anchors.
  • 702: Optional bottom strike for bottom pullman latch option. Includes combination screws.

Accessories & Options

Shim Kits

Available for doors with interfering molding. Each kit includes shim sets, longer fasteners, longer tailpiece, and instructions. Finish: 693 (Black).

  • 223: Shim kit for 2100(F) rim, 2150(F) SquareBolt®, and 2120(F)/2160(F) concealed vertical rod devices.
  • 224: Shim kit for 2110(F)/2170(F) surface vertical rod devices.

Extension Rods

For 2110 surface vertical rod devices, standard for 7' (2.13m) doors. Rods can be field cut or used with extension rods for other heights. Specify part number by length (2", 6", 12", 24").

Bottom Pullman Latch

Optional for panic-listed vertical rod exit devices. Specify "BPL" when ordering. Requires 702 bottom strike.

Wide Stile Cover

Optional wide stile cover available for 2100 series devices. Specify "WIDE" when ordering with device, or order separately by part number.

Plastic Installation Template

Provided standard with all 2100 series exit devices to facilitate accurate door marking. Order separately by part number: 60-7000-9100-999.

Specialty Fasteners

  • Sex Nuts: Required for wood, composite, or unreinforced metal doors. SN-104 (pack of 4) for 10-24 threads; SN-134 (pack of 4) for 1/4-20 threads.
  • Wood Door Fasteners: For solid core wood doors; consult factory for availability.
  • Torx® Security Screws: Available for factory product orders.

Schlage® Cam Assembly

Cam and housing assembly designed to accept Schlage® rim cylinders. Maintains classroom and storeroom functions. Order by part number: 60-7000-0815.

Mullions

M200(F) Removable Mullion

Steel mullions for 2100(F) series exit devices. Field cuttable. Red primer finish. M200 is panic rated (2" x 3" tubular steel); M200F is 3-hour fire rated (2" x 3" tubular steel). Specify height (7', 8', or 10').

  • M200(F) Options:
  • M203 Spacer Block: Recommended for double rabbeted frames or narrow door frames.
  • M204 Angle Bracket: Recommended for header configurations with less than 3" mounting surface.

KRM200(F) Keyed Removable Mullion (KRM)

Keyed removable mullions for 2100(F) series devices, designed for easy removal and reinstallation to maintain opening integrity. KRM200 is panic rated; KRM200F is 1-1/2 hour fire rated. Accepts mortise cylinders. Specify KR prefix when ordering.

  • KRM Options: M203 Spacer Block and M204 Angle Bracket (as described for M200(F)).
  • KRM Cylinders: Order cylinder and collar separately if required.

Trim Dimensions

Sample Specification

Exit devices shall be 2100 Series Pushpad Exit Devices manufactured by Yale Locks & Hardware. The chassis and push pad assembly shall be high-grade non-ferrous steel with baked powder coating. Maximum projection shall be 2-1/2" active and 1-3/4" dogged. Nylon bearings and stainless steel springs for durability; torsion springs only. Rear and active case covers shall be steel with baked powder coating. Plastic covers are not acceptable. Latchbolts shall be steel with a deadlocking latch; devices without are not acceptable. Mounting screws shall be concealed. Devices shall be closed on all sides with no pinch points. Easily field sized for various door widths.

Panic-listed devices shall have standard single-point, quarter-turn hex key dogging; available less dogging. Trims shall be through-bolted with concealed fasteners. Escutcheon and pull-type trims constructed of brass, bronze, or zinc. Lever trims use cast or forged levers. Cylinder mechanisms shall be housed in the trim, not the active case. Lever trims shall be Free Wheeling with clutch mechanism allowing 60° rotation when locked. Lever trims shall match Yale mortise and cylindrical locksets.

Exit devices and trims shall be furnished in ANSI/BHMA standard architectural finishes. Devices shall be UL/cUL listed for panic hardware. Fire-rated devices shall be listed for "A" label and lesser class doors. Devices shall also be UL listed for ZHEM - latching hardware and ZHLA - windstorm rated assemblies.

Certification:

  • ANSI/BHMA A156.3, Grade 1.

Devices, trims, and cylinders shall be from one manufacturer. Devices carry a three-year warranty; escutcheon trims carry a five-year warranty.
