TPI ROOM THERMOSTAT WORKING LOGIC
The SENNA 300S utilizes the TPI (Time Proportional Integral) algorithm. TPI technology predicts when room temperature will deviate from the setpoint and adjusts the heating/cooling unit accordingly, ensuring stable temperatures and energy efficiency.
What is TPI?
TPI technology is designed for optimal energy efficiency. It intelligently manages the on/off cycles of your heating/cooling system to maintain the desired temperature with minimal energy consumption.
How does TPI work?
Through advanced artificial intelligence, the thermostat learns the thermal characteristics of your environment. It builds a "temperature map" of your home, understanding how long it takes to reach and maintain a specific temperature. This allows it to calculate the most efficient operating times for your system.
What is the difference?
Traditional "On/Off" thermostats cycle the heating/cooling unit on and off frequently, leading to significant temperature fluctuations. TPI thermostats, by contrast, provide more stable temperatures, greater comfort, and higher energy savings.
Heating Mode
The thermostat uses the average room temperature over the last 40 seconds. The TPI algorithm, by mapping your home's thermal behavior, ensures the room temperature stays within a narrow range around the setpoint.
[Diagram description: The "TPI ROOM THERMOSTAT HEATING MODE WORKING GRAPHIC" shows two lines on a graph plotting Temperature (°C) against Time. One line represents the "Desired Temperature," and the other represents the "TPI Room Thermostat" temperature. The TPI line fluctuates less dramatically around the desired temperature compared to the implied behavior of a standard on/off thermostat.]
Cooling Mode
The logic is similar to heating mode. The thermostat uses the average room temperature and the TPI algorithm to maintain the set cooling temperature efficiently.
[Diagram description: The "TPI ROOM THERMOSTAT COOLING MODE WORKING GRAPHIC" is similar to the heating graph, illustrating the TPI thermostat's ability to maintain a stable cooling temperature with minimal deviation.]
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT TPI ROOM THERMOSTAT
- If the thermostat's placement is changed, the learning process restarts and takes approximately 7 days.
- If the thermostat loses power (e.g., battery replacement), the learning process restarts and takes approximately 7 days.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is my Room Thermostat compatible with my heating/cooling unit?
Your Room Thermostat is compatible if your heating/cooling unit has simple on-off connections. Consult your unit's operating manual or service provider for specific compatibility information.
How will I connect my Room Thermostat to the heating/cooling unit?
It is recommended that connections are made by professionally qualified persons. A 2x0.75 mm² cable is sufficient. Connect one end to the thermostat's connection terminals and the other end to the COM and NO inputs of the terminal inside the Wall Hanger, as shown in the wiring diagram. The direction of the cable ends does not affect the connection.
