A. Display and Buttons
Familiarize yourself with the watch face and its controls.
Crown Operation
This watch features a screw-lock down crown. To access adjustment positions, the crown must first be unscrewed by turning it counter-clockwise. After adjustments are complete, push the crown down and screw it back into place clockwise to lock it.
B. Using the Chronograph (Start/Stop/Reset)
- Start: Press Button A.
- Stop: To stop the timing, press Button A again. The chronograph counters will display the elapsed time (e.g., 4 minutes, 38 seconds, 7.10 seconds).
- Zero Positioning: Press Button B. This resets all three chronograph hands to their zero positions (the 12 o'clock position).
C. Chronograph: Accumulated Timing
This function allows for continuous timing of an event.
- Start: Begin timing by pressing Button A.
- Stop: Stop the timing (e.g., after 15 minutes and 5 seconds) by pressing Button A again.
- Start (again): Resume timing by pressing Button A.
- Stop (final): Stop the timing (e.g., after 13 minutes and 5 seconds). The accumulated time is now shown (e.g., 28 minutes and 10 seconds). The accumulation can be continued by pressing Button A.
- Reset: Press Button B to return all three chronograph hands to their zero positions.
D. Chronograph: Intermediate or Interval Timing
This function allows for measuring intermediate times within a longer event.
- Start: Begin timing by pressing Button A.
- Display Interval: Press Button B to display an intermediate interval (e.g., 10 minutes and 10 seconds). The main timing continues in the background.
- Make up Measured Time: Press Button B again to advance the chronograph hands quickly to the currently measured time.
- Stop: Press Button A to stop the timing and display the final measured time.
- Reset: Press Button B to return all three chronograph hands to their zero positions.
*Following step 3, further intervals or intermediate times can be displayed by pressing Button B (display interval / make up measured time, etc.).
E. Adjusting Hands to Zero Position (12 O'Clock)
This procedure is used to reset chronograph hands if they are not in their correct zero positions, for example, after a battery change.
- Pull the crown out to [crown position III]. All three chronograph hands will be in their correct or incorrect zero position.
- Simultaneously press and hold Buttons A and B for at least 2 seconds. The centre stop-second hand will rotate 360 degrees, indicating that corrective mode is activated.
- Adjusting the Centre Stop Second:
- Single step: Press Button A once briefly.
- Continuous: Press and hold Button A.
- Adjusting the 1/10 Second Counter Hand (position 6h):
- Use Button B to move the hand.
- Single step: Press Button A once briefly.
- Continuous: Press and hold Button A.
- Adjusting the Minute Counter Hand (position 9h):
- Use Button B to move the hand.
- Single step: Press Button A once briefly.
- Continuous: Press and hold Button A.
- Return the crown to [crown position I] to terminate the chronograph hands adjustment. This can be done at any time.
F. Setting the Time
Follow these steps to set the correct time on your watch.
- Pull the crown out to [crown position III]. The watch will stop.
- Turn the crown to set the hour and minute hands.
- Push the crown back to [crown position I].
*To set the time to the exact second, pull the crown out when the second hand is at the '60' position. Once the hour and minute hands are set, push the crown back to [crown position I] precisely at the desired second.
G. Setting the Date (Quick Mode)
This section explains how to set the date quickly.
- Pull the crown out to [crown position II]. The watch will continue to run.
- Turn the crown until the correct date appears in the date window.
- Push the crown back into [crown position I].
*The date can be changed between 9:00 PM and 12:00 PM. Note that the date must be set to the date of the following day if setting within this window to avoid automatic date changes occurring at midnight.
H. Setting the Date/Time
This section combines setting both the date and time.
- Pull the crown out to [crown position II] (the watch continues to run).
- Turn the crown until yesterday's date appears.
- Pull the crown out further to [crown position III] (the watch stops).
- Turn the crown until the correct date appears.
- Continue to turn the crown until the correct time appears.
- Push the crown back into [crown position I].
*To set your watch to the exact second, please refer to the chapter entitled "Setting the Time".
**Please observe the AM/PM clock rhythm.
