Product Description

The Eaton's Capri NORMADIX is a versatile nickel-plated brass cable gland designed for industrial and residential applications with non-armored cables. It operates within a temperature range of -5°C to +70°C and is rated IP66 for protection against dust and water. The cable gland features a Pg thread and conforms to EN 62444. It is available as a standalone product or as part of a kit with accessories.

Distribution
Eaton is committed to minimizing product and packaging weight and volume to optimize transport efficiency.
Installation
The installation process requires no energy consumption, and the only waste generated is the obsolete product packaging.
Use
The product does not require energy consumption or maintenance during its operation.
End of life
The recyclability rate of the overall product is 66.08% if properly dismantled before shredding. This rate is calculated based on the “ECO’DEEE recyclability and recoverability calculation method" (version V1, 20 Sep. 2008, presented to the French Agency for Environment and Energy Management: ADEME).

Environmental Impacts

The calculation of environmental impacts is based on a Product's Life Cycle Analysis in accordance with ISO 14040/44, covering the entire lifecycle from production to end of life. System modeling was performed using the LCA software EIME v6.1.2 with database version CODDE-2023-02. Indicators Set: PEF EF 3.0 (Compliance: PEP ed.4, EN15804+A2) v2.0.

Manufacturing Phase: The product is assembled and packed at the Eaton facility in Nouan-Le-Fuzelier, France. Energy model used: France.

Distribution Phase: Product distribution within Europe is based on Eaton's logistics platform and PCR rules.

Installation Phase: Product is installed in Europe. Installation and packaging waste treatment are considered. No energy consumption for the reference product.

Use Phase: Reference lifetime: 20 years. Usage profile: No energy consumption or maintenance required during the product's useful life.

End of life Phase: Product is disposed of according to WEEE guidelines. Module D is calculated according to PCR-ed4-EN-2021 09 06, considering recycled materials and end-of-life scenarios. It expresses net benefits and loads beyond the system boundaries.
