Panel Layout Views

Swing-Out Panel Front View

The front view of the swing-out panel (dimensions 27.0" x 33.0") shows the primary interface and control components. Prominently featured is the Thermon TNG-HMI (Item 100), a touch screen interface. Various DTM6 modules (Item 130) are visible, likely for RTD inputs. Terminal blocks (e.g., Item 471, 476) are arranged for wiring connections. Other components like the power supply (Item 120) and Genesis Bridge (Item 141) are also positioned within the enclosure.

Swing-Out Panel Reverse View

The reverse view of the swing-out panel illustrates the rear of the mounted components and additional wiring. This view highlights the arrangement of the six DCM-RETRO modules (Item 310), which are described as 6-circuit distributed control modules. The Genesis Bridge (Item 141) and the Moxa Ethernet Converter (Item 137) are also shown, facilitating communication. Terminal blocks and wiring harnesses are visible, connecting these modules.

Electrical Schematic Description

The electrical schematic illustrates the system's connectivity. A 100-240VAC control power input is supplied to the QUINT-PS/1AC/24DC/5 power supply (Item 120), which outputs 24VDC. This 24VDC is distributed to power the Genesis Bridge (GB, Item 141), the HMI (Item 100), the IOM (Item 140), and six DCM modules (Item 310). The GB module provides CAN bus communication and Ethernet connectivity. The HMI connects via Ethernet and USB. The six DTM modules (Item 130), labeled DTM1 through DTM6, connect to the system via CAN bus (CANH, CANL) and receive 24VDC power. Each DTM module is designed to interface with multiple RTD inputs (RTD #1 through #36 are indicated across the DTMs). The schematic also shows connections to existing TCM18 RS-485 terminals and alarm terminals.

Wiring specifications are provided, including torque settings for different terminal block types (e.g., UT-2.5/UT-4, UT-6/UT-10/UK-16) and recommended fuse replacement (F1: 5X20mm, Ceramic 3.15A, 250V).

Notes and Specifications

  • Component - Wire Torque Specs: All field power wiring shall be rated, minimum 75°C, copper conductors. All RTD input connections should be Class 2.
  • Terminal Block Torque:
    • UT-2.5/UT-4: 5.3 to 7.0 lbf-in
    • UT-6/UT-10/UK-16: 13.2 to 15.9 lbf-in
  • Fuse Replacement Specs: All replacement fuses shall be of the same type and rating.
  • F1: 5x20mm, Ceramic 3.15A, 250V
  • Attention: Loose connections due to shipping vibration. Check torque specifications before applying power.
