Product Description

The AOSTIRMOTOR S17-1500W electric bike features a 6061 aluminum alloy frame, a 1500W motor, and a 48V 14.5Ah SAMSUNG lithium battery. It has a top speed of 50 km/h and a range of 30-45 km. The bike is equipped with F/R mechanical brakes, an alloy suspension fork, 26x4.0 tires, and a Shimano 7-speed derailleur. It includes a color LCD display and front light with rear reflector.

Safety Notice

Before riding, perform the following checks:

  1. Test brake system, throttle, and power system.
  2. Ensure tire pressure is at 30 psi.
  3. Check and securely tighten front wheel lug-nuts before each ride.
  4. Check battery charge level on the side of the battery.
  5. Verify brake and gear operation, ensuring no frame friction or abnormal noise. Adjust distance and parallelism with screws if needed.
  6. Wet Weather and Night Riding: Bicycles are partially waterproof but not recommended for heavy rain. For night rides, turn on headlights and ensure safe operation.
  7. On-and-Off Road Operation: The aluminum alloy frame is stable and strong. For safety, wear protective gear and make preparations for rugged or off-road conditions.

Installation Instructions

  1. Open your package.
  2. Take out the tool box.
  3. Carefully remove the bicycle from the package and place it on a soft surface to prevent scratches. Cut the securing tie for the front wheel.
  4. Remove protective foam.
  5. Open the accessory kit and remove the tool kit.
  6. Invert the bicycle.
  7. Remove the large fixing bolt on the front fork.
  8. Mount the front wheel onto the front fork, ensuring the disc brake pad aligns with the disc brake caliper.
  9. Tighten the two bolts using the supplied 15mm flat tool.
  10. Attach the handlebar clamp, cut the zipper, and use the Allen wrench to remove the clamp.
  11. Position the handlebar in the center, install the rod clamp, and tighten the screws with the Allen wrench.
  12. Install the LCD display on the handlebar, tighten the screws, and connect the green wire.
  13. Attach the bicycle light: unscrew the lens, remove the plastic insulator, re-tighten the lens, and connect the red cable. Mount the light above the front fork.
  14. Install the pedals: Right pedal rotates clockwise, left pedal rotates counterclockwise. Ensure correct pedal installation (marked 'L' and 'R').
  15. Place the bicycle upright.
  16. Insert the seat post into the seat column, adjust to the desired position, tighten the screws, and secure it.
  17. Installation is complete. Ensure proper alignment when connecting meters, headlights, and brake circuit breakers. Avoid forceful installation.

Battery Installation & Maintenance

  1. Locate the battery port on your electric bike.
  2. Identify the interface on your battery.
  3. Align the interface and install the battery.
  4. Complete the battery installation.
  5. Turn clockwise to lock your battery.
  6. Press down the key and turn counterclockwise to unlock your battery.
  7. Long-term Storage: If not using the battery for an extended period, charge it 1-2 times per month.
  8. Key Management: Keep your key safe. A new key can be provided based on the nameplate number if lost.
  9. Environment: Keep the battery environment dry; avoid prolonged exposure to rain.
  10. Testing: Regularly test battery attenuation using a universal meter.

Display Use & Maintenance

The YL90T-H display features five buttons: power, plus, minus, light, and toggle.

Power Button: Long press to power the display on/off. When off, the display consumes less than 1uA. It automatically shuts off after 10 minutes of inactivity.

Display Information: The display shows Current Speed (km/h) and Odometer (km) by default. Short press the toggle button to cycle through Odometer, Trip Odometer, Maximum Speed, and Average Speed.

Display Elements: Battery level, Speed, Odometer, Trip Odometer, Max Speed, Average Speed, Walk Boost, Error Code, PAS level, Speed Unit (KM/H or MPH), Cruise Control, Light ON/OFF.

  1. Controller Box: Avoid getting water into the controller box. If the bike malfunctions, check controller cable connections, try restarting, or replace the controller. Contact support if issues persist.
  2. Brake Maintenance: Check for frame friction or abnormal noise during rotation. Adjust brake pad distance and parallelism. Regularly inspect brake pad wear and replace as needed. Keep brake discs clean.
  3. Control Cables: Lightly apply the brake (one-finger gap) to check if the handbrake is too loose. Tighten if necessary and test ride.
  4. Bearing Adjustment: Periodically check and tighten front and rear wheel fixing bolts. Ensure front and rear wheel bearings are parallel and correctly adjusted.
  5. Wheel Adjustment: Regularly check tire pressure, maintaining 30 psi.
  6. Lubrication: Lubricate the chain, brake discs, and other parts. Remove all debris, dust, and dirt/sand.
  7. Reflector Maintenance: None specified.
  8. Tire Maintenance: Regularly check tire wear and replace when necessary. Maintain tire pressure at 30 psi.
