Button Description

RSTUse the end of a paper clip or a similar object to press and hold this button for about 8 seconds with power on, and then release it to restore the extender to factory settings.

Method 1: Extending Your WiFi Network Using Web UI

1. Power on the Repeater

Plug the repeater into a power outlet near the router in the same room.

Wait until the PWR LED turns solid blue.

2. Extend Your WiFi Network

  1. Connect your WiFi device to the repeater's WiFi network: rockspace_EXT. Ensure that the Mobile Data (if any) is disabled.
  2. Start a web browser, enter http://re.rockspace.local or 192.168.0.254 in the address bar to log in. Create a login password for later attempts (recommend).
  3. Select a WiFi network (SSID) you want to extend.
  4. Enter the password of the WiFi network you want to extend. The extended WiFi network SSID will be your existing WiFi network's SSID with a suffix _EXT or _5GEXT. The WiFi password of the repeater is the same as your WiFi router.

Wait a moment, the 'Extended successfully!' page appears.

3. Relocate the Repeater

  1. For better performance, plug the repeater into an outlet halfway between the router and the WiFi dead zone. The location you choose must be within the range of your existing WiFi network.
  2. Wait until the Signal LED turns blue. If not, relocate the repeater closer to the router.
  3. Connect your WiFi devices to the repeater using the SSIDs set by yourself, or your router's SSID with a suffix _EXT/5GEXT, and using the WiFi password same as your WiFi router.

Method 2: Extending Your WiFi Network Using WPS

You can use Method 2 if your router has a WPS button (possible icons of a WPS button: ?WPS, ?, or ?). Otherwise, use Method 1.

1. Power on the Repeater

Plug the repeater into a power outlet near the router in the same room.

Wait until the PWR LED turns solid blue.

2. Extend Your WiFi Network

  1. Press the WPS button on the router and within 2 minutes press the WPS button on the repeater.
  2. Wait until the Signal LED on the repeater turns solid blue. If the Signal LED does not turn solid blue, try Method 1.
