ETA Puris Smart Air Purifier

Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the ETA Puris Smart air purifier. This manual focuses on the ETA Smart application, which allows you to control and utilize the full potential of your air purifier. Please also refer to the user manual for the device itself, which is an integral part of this documentation.

Note: Illustrations and text translations within the application may slightly differ from those shown in this manual. This is normal and does not affect the functionality.

1. Installing the ETA Smart Application

The ETA Smart application is available for download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. You can also use the provided QR code to quickly access the download link.

Compatibility:

• Mobile Operating System: Android 6.0 or higher, iOS 11.0 or higher
• Wi-Fi: 2.4 GHz

After downloading, install the application on your mobile device (smartphone or tablet).

2. Creating an Account

To use the ETA Smart application, you need to create an account:

1. Install and open the ETA Smart application.
2. Tap on "Sign Up" or "Register".
3. Agree to the Privacy Policy and User Agreement.
4. Enter your email address to create the user account.
5. Tap "Get Verification Code". A verification code will be sent to your email.
6. Enter the verification code received via email.
7. Set a password for your account and complete the creation process.
8. Log in to the application using your newly created account. You may be automatically logged in upon the first login.

Note: Grant all necessary permissions to the application when you first run it, such as location (GPS) and Bluetooth access.

3. Device Pairing

To use the air purifier with the ETA Smart application, you must first pair the device with your smartphone.

• If you haven't paired any devices yet, click the "Add Device" button or the "+" icon. If you have already paired devices, click the "+" icon.
• Ensure your device is in pairing mode. This is typically indicated by a blinking Wi-Fi indicator light.
• Note: Pairing steps may vary slightly between Android and iOS. Ensure Bluetooth and location services (GPS) are enabled in your phone's settings for successful device discovery and pairing.

Connecting to Wi-Fi:

• Keep your phone connected to your home 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. The application will suggest the network you are currently connected to. You can select a different network if needed.
• Enter your Wi-Fi network password and proceed.
• The application will guide you through activating the Wi-Fi mode on the air purifier. This usually involves pressing specific buttons (e.g., SPEED and SLEEP simultaneously) for a few seconds until the Wi-Fi indicator light blinks.
• Confirm the blinking Wi-Fi indicator light in the app and proceed.
• The process is similar for both automatic and manual pairing. Automatic pairing will begin after confirmation.

Manual Pairing: If automatic pairing fails, you can opt for manual pairing. This involves connecting your phone directly to the air purifier's Wi-Fi hotspot. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect to the "SmartLife-xxx..." network and then return to the app to complete the process.

Note: If you encounter a message about an incorrect network connection after connecting to the purifier's hotspot, ignore it. This is a direct device connection, not an internet connection.

4. Basic Advice and Tips for Use

Using the ETA Smart application with your air purifier is designed to be intuitive. However, smart devices can sometimes encounter issues related to mobile device incompatibility or wireless connectivity.

For Smart Devices (Mobile Phone/Tablet):

• Always use the latest version of the ETA Smart application downloaded from official sources.
• Ensure your device runs a supported version of Android or iOS.
• Keep Bluetooth active.
• Maintain an active internet connection for seamless communication with the cloud server.
• Grant the application all necessary permissions. Check your phone's system settings if you suspect any restrictions are blocking app permissions.
• Disable any interfering applications like VPNs or firewalls that might disrupt communication.
• If you experience pairing or operational issues, try using a different mobile device to rule out device-specific problems.

For Wi-Fi Routers:

• Ensure you are connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. While the device may support dual-band routers (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), using only the 2.4 GHz band can sometimes resolve connection issues.
• Test the device on a different Wi-Fi network if you encounter network problems. If the issue persists, the problem is likely not with your router.
• If your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) or password contains special characters, consider changing them to simpler alphanumeric characters.

Keep your smart device close to the air purifier during pairing and operation.

5. Sharing Control

The ETA Smart application allows you to share control of your air purifier with other users who have an ETA Smart account.

1. On the main screen, tap the pencil icon (Edit) in the upper right corner.
2. Select "Share device" from the menu.
3. Tap "Add Sharing".
4. Enter the ETA Smart account email address of the person you wish to share the device with.
5. Tap "Done".

Note: The person you share with must have the ETA Smart application installed and an account registered.

Sharing is completed successfully and the device will appear in their list of shared devices. You share only the selected device, not your entire list of paired devices. The shared user can control the device but may have limited management and setting options.

6. Settings - Application Section

Within the application, you can configure the following settings:

• ETA...: Set the device icon, name, and assign it to a room within your home.
• Automation: This feature is not applicable to this product.
• Notification: Receive notifications when the device is offline.
• Share device: Manage device sharing settings.
• Create group: This feature is not applicable to this product.
• FAQ & Feedback: Contact the application developer with comments or questions.
• Add to Home Screen: Create a shortcut to the application on your device's home screen.
• Check Device Network: Perform a basic check of your Wi-Fi network.
• Check firmware version: Check for available firmware updates.
• Unpair: Remove the device from your account.

7. Removing a Device

To remove (unpair) a device from your account:

1. On the main screen of the ETA Smart application, select the device you wish to remove.
2. Tap and hold the device icon for approximately 2 seconds.
3. Tap the "Remove Device" option.
4. Confirm the removal by tapping "Confirm".

Note: This step is recommended if you encounter issues with the application. Removing and re-pairing the device can often resolve problems.
