AVer Cam550 Camera Setup

The AVer Cam550 is a PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) camera. It connects to the RCU2E-CE™ module via:

• USB-A to USB-B Cable: RCC-M004-0.3M (0.3 meters)
• RJ45 to RJ45 Cable: RCC-C002-0.3M (0.3 meters)

The camera's rear panel typically features USB-A, USB-B, Ethernet, and power ports.

RCU2E-CE™ Module (Camera End)

The RCU2E-CE™ module acts as the camera end for the SCTLink™ system, providing a single cable powered link. It features:

• Ethernet Port: For network connectivity.
• USB Port: For camera connection.
• Power Input: Accepts DC power.
• SCTLink™ Port (RJ45): Connects to the RCU2E-HE™ module via CAT5e/6 cable.
• LED Indicators: Power and Status LEDs.

A DC Power Plug (PPC-003-0.3M) is used to supply power to the RCU2E-CE™ module.

RCU2E-HE™ Module (Head End)

The RCU2E-HE™ module serves as the head end of the SCTLink™ system. Its front panel includes a microSD slot for field upgrades.

Ports include:

• Ethernet Port: For network connectivity.
• Line Out Port: For audio/video output.
• Line In Port: For audio/video input.
• USB 2.0 Port: For connecting to a host device like a laptop.
• SCTLink™ Power Port: Receives power via the SCTLink™ cable.

SCTLink™ Cable Specifications

The SCTLink™ cable is crucial for transmitting Power, Control, and Video signals. Key specifications include:

• Cable Type: Integrator-supplied CAT5e/CAT6 STP/UTP cable.
• Connector Type: RJ45.
• Wiring Standard: T568A or T568B.
• Maximum Length: 100 meters.

Important Note: The SCTLink™ cable must be a single, point-to-point CAT cable with no couplers or interconnections.
