Product Overview

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the installation and operation of the Smart Lock. The lock features multiple unlocking methods including fingerprint, password, IC card, key, and mobile application control.

Components:

  • Front Panel: Contains the fingerprint module, hidden numeric keypad, and concealed keyhole.
  • Rear Panel: Includes the battery cover, manual switch lock knob, automatic switch lock button, and electronic anti-lock mechanism.
  • Lock Body: The main mechanism that secures the door.
  • Gusset & Buckle Box: Components for securing the lock body.
  • Screws: Various types including M4*8 flat head, M4*25 flat head, and M4*20 wood screws.
  • IC Card: For card-based unlocking.
  • Key: For emergency manual unlocking.
  • Emergency Power Supply Port: USB Type-C for temporary power.

Installation Guide

Follow these steps to install the Smart Lock:

  1. Prepare the Lock Body: Use self-tapping screws to fix the lock body gusset box to the lock body's small hole downward.
  2. Install Front Panel: Align the front panel vertically with the hole and insert it into the lock body. Ensure the lock ruler is inserted in a "1" shape. The connecting wire must pass under the lock body.
  3. Prepare Rear Panel: Remove the built-in screws on the rear panel and take off the built-in board.
  4. Fix Built-in Board: Align the holes of the built-in board and fix them with flat head screws.
  5. Connect Cables: Insert the cable from the front panel into the connector on the rear panel's built-in board.
  6. Secure Rear Panel: Tighten the screws after keeping the built-in board and the front panel vertical.
  7. Install Deadbolt: The deadbolt position depends on the door's opening direction. If the deadbolt is on the right side of your installation, the knob arrow should point up. If on the left side, the knob arrow goes down. Align the lock ruler and insert and fix the screw.
  8. Test Lock Operation: After installation, ensure the front and rear panels are vertically aligned. Insert the key to test if the switch lock operates smoothly.
  9. Install Batteries: Remove the battery cover, install AAA 1.5V batteries, and close the cover.
  10. Test Door Opening Direction: After battery installation, test if the left and right door opening positions are correct. If the switch direction is opposite, wake up the screen, input "666888#", and listen for a long "beep" sound. A successful beep indicates the direction switch is complete.

Local Operation Instructions of the Smart Lock

The first three password, card, or fingerprint users registered after the product is initialized are designated as administrators by default. If no user is entered, any fingerprint and the initial password "123456" can unlock the device. After registering a fingerprint or password card, illegal fingerprints and password cards will not unlock the device.

1. Add Fingerprint, Password, and Card Locally:

  1. Wake up the system by pressing any button. Press "1" + "#". The blue light of the fingerprint lamp flashes, and the voice prompts "Please Verify administrator". If no fingerprint or password has been entered, use any fingerprint or the default password "123456" to verify.
  2. Upon successful verification, the voice prompts "Please start to enter". Enter the fingerprint, password, or card you wish to set.
  3. If successful, the green light flashes once, and the voice prompts "Please enter again". If the entry fails, the red light flashes once, and the green light remains solid, with the voice prompt "Enter successfully", indicating successful addition.

2. Delete Fingerprints, Passwords, Door Cards, and Bluetooth Data Locally:

  1. Standard Factory Reset: Wake up the system by pressing any key. Press "888" + "#". The red light of the fingerprint light flashes, and the voice prompts "Please verify the administrator" (if no fingerprint or password has been entered, use any fingerprint or default password "123456" to verify). Upon successful verification, the system restores to factory settings. The green light remains on for 1 second, and the voice prompts "factory reset is successful". All fingerprints, passwords, key cards, and Bluetooth binding data are deleted.
  2. Forced Factory Reset: Remove the rear panel screws. Press and hold the reset button on the rear panel for 5 seconds. The red light of the fingerprint light flashes. Release the button; the light turns green, and the voice prompts "restore to factory settings successful". All fingerprints, passwords, key cards, and Bluetooth binding data are deleted.

3. Local Volume Adjustment:

Wake up the system by pressing any key. Press "21" + "#". The blue and blue light of the fingerprint light flashes, and the voice prompts "Please verify the administrator" (if no fingerprint or password has been entered, use any arbitrary fingerprint or default password "123456" to verify). After successful verification, the fingerprint light turns green and makes a beep to adjust the volume: 0 (mute), 1 (low volume), 2 (medium volume), 3 (high volume).

Tuya APP Operation Instructions

1. APP Installation (Scan QR Code or Search)

Search for and download the "Tuya Smart" APP from your application market. After installation, follow the prompts to register and log in. The APP interface will show options for "Register" and "Log In" with fields for mobile number/email and password.

2. Distribution Network Connection Lock

To start the distribution network process: If no fingerprint or password is entered, press any button or fingerprint to enter the distribution network mode. If a fingerprint or password has already been entered, the machine automatically enters the distribution network mode.

Open the Tuya Smart APP. Devices can be added through the manual or automatic discovery window. When the device enters network configuration mode, the APP will automatically pop up the device discovery window. If multiple operations are performed, this window may not display. In such cases, press the fingerprint or password key once to wake up the smart lock device and enable its Bluetooth broadcast.

Note: If the fingerprint or password lock is not registered, the device will not turn on the Bluetooth network configuration mode. Before connecting to the Tuya APP, press the fingerprint or password first to wake up the device and turn on the network configuration mode.

3. Add a Device (Ensure Phone's Bluetooth is On)

The APP's "Add Device" interface allows you to discover and add the Smart Lock. Once discovered (e.g., "Smart Lock-D501"), you can proceed to add it.

4. Add Unlock Method

There are two methods to add unlock methods:

  1. Method 1: Directly add fingerprints, passwords, and cards in the specific user interface under "Member Management".
  2. Method 2: Add in the settings interface.

The difference is that Method 1 adds unlocking methods for a specific user (e.g., fingerprints, passwords, cards), while Method 2 corresponds to a certain user under the specific unlocking method (e.g., fingerprint, password, card).

APP-Based Management

5. Fingerprint Management:

To add fingerprints via the APP: Navigate to "Fingerprint Management", select a user, and follow the prompts to capture the fingerprint (typically requiring multiple scans from different angles).

6. Card Management:

To add cards via the APP: Navigate to "Card Management", select a user, and follow the prompts to activate and register the IC card.

7. Password Management:

To add passwords via the APP: Navigate to "Password Management", select a user. The password can be randomly generated or manually entered (6-8 digits).

8. Temporary Password:

Choose between an online password or an offline password based on the situation. Options include One-Time Password and Periodic Password.

9. Dynamic Password:

This feature supports smart locks with touch codes. To generate a dynamic password: Swipe left on the interface, enter the second interface, click "Get dynamic password", generate the password, and then enter it to unlock the smart lock. The dynamic password typically expires after a few minutes.

10. Member Management:

Click "Member Management" in the APP. The first family member added is automatically designated as the administrator. Additional members can be added by clicking the "+" icon in the upper right corner.

11. Other Members:

To add other members, click the "+" icon in the upper right corner within the "Member Management" section.

12. Factory Reset and Unbind (APP Side):

On the fourth interface of the device settings, click "Unbind and Clear Data" to unbind the device and clear all its data. If the APP is not connected to the smart lock, it can still be remotely operated to unbind. The device will be restored to factory settings when searched by the Tuya APP next time.
