Sabai: Designing the Difference
THE ECLIPSE CHAIR
Welcome to Sabai
Sabai is designing the difference. We've minimized your furniture's impact on the environment, from the materials, to the manufacturing process, to programs to extend its life cycle.
Our products are 100% vegan and are made from a combination of recycled, upcycled, and biodegradable materials. We utilize mechanical fasteners (rather than glue) to ensure that our materials remain recyclable and that we are keeping our manufacturing team safe.
To make sure our furniture stays out of landfills, we've launched two programs under our Sabai Standard: The Repair Don't Replace and Sabai Revive resale programs.
After a simple assembly, you can rest easy with Sabai.
This guide makes assembly a cinch. If you still have questions, you can reach our customer service team at customer@sabai.design and we'll respond within 24 hours.

Assembly Instructions
Step 1: Attach Back and Arms
A
We recommend two people for assembly. Take the Chair Back and the Right Arm and align the brackets on both pieces. Slide the Right Arm down, engaging both brackets, lining up the Arm with the bottom of the Chair Back.

B
Take the Left Arm and align the brackets on both pieces. Slide the Arm down, engaging both brackets, and line up with the bottom of the Back.
Diagram: Shows the left arm being connected to the chair back in a similar fashion to the right arm.
Step 2: Attach Seat Platform
A
Flip the Chair Back and Arms onto the back.

B
Align the Seat Platform to the bottom of the Back and Arms. There will be a cut-out area on the underside of the components that the Seat Platform will rest into.
If alignment is giving you trouble, turn the Chair frame so the bottom is facing up and the tops of the armrests are on the ground, allowing gravity to help. If needed, there is additional alignment help on page 11.

C
Insert the Bolts through the hole in each Foot. The head of the Bolt will sit within the larger drilled hole on the foot once tightened.

D
Align the Bolt and Feet assembly with the threaded holes on the underside of the Seat Platform.

E
Using the Ratchet Wrench, loosely tighten each bolt first before tightening all the way.
If a bolt is not fully reaching the threaded insert, you may need to remove the foot and tighten down with bolt only first, pulling the Seat Platform closer to the frame.
Tighten all feet securely.
Troubleshooting Tips
If it is difficult to locate the threaded inserts, try the following:
- The Arms naturally want to angle out. Compress the Arms together, tightening around the Seat Platform.
- Once you see a threaded insert through one of the Seat Platform's holes, insert a bolt (without foot), and tighten only a couple of turns.
- Continue to locate and add bolts (without feet) to each hole until all are inserts are located.
- Remove one bolt at a time, replacing it with the Bolt + Foot assembly from Step 2C, tightening completely.
Step 3: Add Cushion & Pillows
A
Flip the Chair so the feet touch the ground. Open the Cushion with the mattress side facing up and thinner cushion portion towards the ground. Align the cushion inside of the Chair frame.

B
Fold the Cushion, pulling the back edge of the cushion to the inside of the Chair and pushing down.

Add the Back Pillow and enjoy!
