Product Description
Timer display shown in standard Clock mode:
The timer display shows the current time, day, and AM/PM indicator. Key buttons include:
- RCL/RND: Clears ON/OFF settings during programming or activates the Random feature in Clock mode.
- SET: Confirms settings and moves to the next option. Hold for 5 seconds to set clock/date.
- PROGRAM: Hold for 5 seconds to program ON/OFF timer settings.
- UP/DOWN: Scrolls through settings options.
- RESET: Resets all timer settings.
- ON/OFF: Cycles through Always ON, Auto (timer active), and Always OFF modes.
NOTE: The timer will automatically return to Clock mode if a button is not pushed for 1 minute while programming. Return to step 1 if this happens.
Operating Instructions
1. Setting up the timer for the first time
If the LCD screen is blank, plug in the timer and leave for two hours to charge the internal battery before programming. Use a toothpick or sharp pencil to push the RESET button. The screen will go blank briefly and then display 12:00 AM.
- Press and hold SET for 5 seconds until the hour begins to flash.
- Press UP/DOWN to adjust the hour. Press SET to confirm. Take note of the AM/PM indicator.
- Press UP/DOWN to adjust the minute. Press SET to confirm.
- Press UP/DOWN to adjust the year. Press SET to confirm.
- Press UP/DOWN to adjust the month. Press SET to confirm.
- Press UP/DOWN to adjust the day. Press SET to confirm.
- Press UP/DOWN to select DST ON or DST OFF. Press SET to confirm. DST automatically resets the times to match the current time change if set to ON. It is recommended to set DST to ON if your area observes it.
2. Setting the time zone
View the map below and determine which zone best fits your location. Press UP/DOWN to scroll through the available zones and press SET at the appropriate time zone.
The screen will show SUNUP and a time with the HOUR blinking. Adjust the hour and minutes for SUNUP using UP/DOWN and SET. Then, the screen will show SUNSET and a time. Adjust the hour and minutes for SUNSET using UP/DOWN and SET.
NOTE: The lamp or device will not come on until the next ON time is triggered. To manually turn the device ON and start the program, cycle the ON/OFF button until the light/device turns on. Then press once more to put the timer in AUTO mode (timer active). You can also use the ON/OFF button to override the timer and set to ON (always on) or OFF (always off).

3. Programming ON/OFF days
Press and hold PROG for 5 seconds. The figure below appears on the screen. ON --:-- is the first setting.
Press SET. The days of the week will begin blinking. Press UP/DOWN to scroll through program options for days of the week and press SET when finished:
- Monday through Sunday
- M, T, W, Th, F, Sat & Sun
- Monday & Wednesday & Friday
- Tuesday & Thursday & Saturday
- Saturday & Sunday
- Monday through Friday
4. Programming ON/OFF times
There are three options for setting ON times: CUSTOM TIME (12:00), SUNUP, or SUNSET. Choose one and press SET.
- To set Program 1 ON Time to SUNUP: Press UP/DOWN to find SUNUP on the display and press SET.
- To set Program 1 ON Time to SUNSET: Press UP/DOWN to find SUNSET on the display and press SET.
- To set a custom ON time: Press UP/DOWN to find 12:00 blinking and press SET. Use UP/DOWN to adjust the hour and press SET. Use UP/DOWN to adjust the minutes and press SET. Note the AM/PM indicator.
The screen will now show 1 OFF --:--. Repeat the above substeps to select a CUSTOM TIME, SUNUP, or SUNSET for the OFF time.
Repeat the same substeps for Program 2 (P2) through Program 7 (P7) to set as many ON/OFF cycles as desired. Press PROG to complete programming and return to Clock mode.
Once programming is complete, ensure the timer is set to AUTO mode by pressing ON/OFF. Plug the lights or devices into the timer and plug the timer into the wall.
NOTE: When programming ON/OFF times, press RCL/RND to clear an ON/OFF setting. Press again to resume programming.
5. Setting the Random Security Option (RND)
This program feature turns lights ON and OFF using the programmed times plus or minus 30 minutes, giving the house a more lived-in appearance while you are away.
- Press RCL/RND while in Clock mode to activate the Random feature. The screen will display RND in the top right corner.
- Press RCL/RND again to deactivate the Random feature and return the timer to its set programming.
