WMF 5000 S+ Dynamic Milk Planning Information
Introduction
This document provides essential planning and installation information for the WMF 5000 S+ coffeemachine with Dynamic Milk system. It is intended for technical personnel responsible for site preparation and installation.
Dimensions and Weight
The following dimensions and weight information is crucial for planning installation space:
Dimension | Value |
---|---|
Width | 325 mm |
Height | 716 mm |
Depth | 590 mm |
Clearance Heights (Dynamic Milk) | 72 - 169 mm |
Weight (empty, depending on model) | Approx. 37 kg |
Water Supply and Drainage
Proper water supply and drainage connections are critical for operation.
Water Supply
- Water Supply Line: 3/8 inch hose connector with mains tap and a filter with 0.08 mm mesh size.
- Supply Pressure: At least 0.2 MPa (2 bar) at 2 l/min. Maximum 0.6 MPa (6 bar).
- Inlet Temperature: Maximum 35 °C.
- Water Drain Tube: Hose minimum DN 19, with a minimum downward slope of 2 cm/m.
- Elevation: Use below 2000m above sea level.
Drainage Connection
Waste Water Connection: An optional area for a counter cut-out is required, with a minimum size of 50x60 mm or Ø70 mm.
For drinking water with carbonate hardness above 5°dKH, a WMF water filter should be fitted upstream.
If connected to a drain, a funnel siphon must be installed in the drain pipe. The free drain (funnel siphon with sheet metal angle) must be fitted vertically, observing a 2% gradient for the drain hoses. The free drain must be positioned below the machine's drains and above the actual drain pipe connections (HT40, HT50 or similar). A funnel siphon can connect a maximum of two coffee machines with DN19 hose and black silicone fabric hose. Other devices like dishwashers or sinks should be installed elsewhere. The free drain and hoses must not be exposed to heavy tensile, pressure, or torsional load.
On-site preliminary works for drainage must be commissioned by the operator and carried out by qualified plumbers according to local regulations.
Electrical Connection
Electrical specifications must comply with EU countries' standards and may require additional country-specific regulations. The on-site electrical system must meet regulations per IEC 60364 and match the rating plate information.
Electrical Data | 3.01 - 3.51 kW | 8.41 - 9.96 kW |
---|---|---|
Nominal Power Rating | 3.01 - 3.51 kW | 8.41 - 9.96 kW |
Power Supply | 220 - 240 V, 50/60 Hz (1 / N / PE) | 380 - 415 V, 50 / 60 Hz (3 / N / PE) |
An isolated ground socket, country-specific single-phase socket (for single-phase connection), or a 5-pole CEE / CEKON socket (per DIN EN 50310 VDE 0800-2-310) or country-specific multi-pole socket (for three-phase connection) must be available near the machine. These sockets are part of the customer's on-site installation. The mains cable must not contact hot surfaces. Damaged mains cables must be replaced by service personnel.
For potential faults in shielded data lines due to equalisation currents, an additional potential equalisation unit should be planned for vending system devices (see DIN EN 50310 VDE 0800-2-310). For large kitchens, a ground potential bonding conductor is recommended. The potential equalisation terminal is installed by WMF Service.
Installation Clearance
For operating, service, and safety, maintain specific clearances:
- Sides: Minimum 50 mm from building or non-WMF components.
- Back: Minimum 60 mm from building or non-WMF components.
- Front: Minimum 800 mm working space recommended.
- Above Product Hopper: Minimum 200 mm clearance recommended.
- Installation Surface Height: At least 850 mm above the floor.
If connections run downwards through the counter, ensure space for lines, which may reduce usable space below the machine. Additional space for grounds through counter may be needed. If a water filter is used, consider additional space under the machine based on filter size.
For the Auto Clean system, space for the cleaning bottle (120x120x360 mm) under the counter is required. The Auto Clean hose routes through an existing counter cut-out to the back of the machine; no extension of the cut-out is necessary.
Ventilation
If ventilation is limited, ensure sufficient airflow. This can be achieved through machine feet extensions, active ventilation, or additional ventilation slots/ openings in the counter area. Ventilation slots must not be covered. Forced ventilation on-site may be necessary for heat dissipation.
